5 people ranked this at the bottom. While Tim Hicks is a regular top 10 hitter, this is his second #1 in his career. I enjoy this, quite fun, catchy, but kinda silly song. I cannot say he is my fav compared with other male Canadians, but this is actually one of better songs by him to me. His music style is kinda like this, so well, I guess I will include less of him in the future RD. Also, the video is silly, and  has a line dance part, but not the type of choreography that I love, commenting as 🌺CountryLineDancer .

I know other songs from Tim Hicks as well and can't say I'm a fan of him or his voice at all. "No Truck Song" was awful! The name-dropping of the songs in the bridge was so cringe, too lol.

castleoblivion26 lost top 10 here. The only reason this song was included even though it did not chart was Emerson Drive's name. The instrument is great in this song, but the lyrics are just kinda repetitive. While they were quite successful in 2000 ~ 2015, their career is diminishing now. Wondering they will ever release an album, it's been 6 years or so... I may do Emerson Drive's RD for their old albums, if y'all liked them back in 2000s.

As I just stated, I used to adore Emerson Drive and still do love their older music. I've seen them live and met them a ridiculous amount of times as well. Their new music however.... has kinda lost me, ngl. "Footprints on the Moon" is really bad IMO and Brad Mates's voice has NOT aged well at all. He sounds pretty awful these days.

I kinda stopped stanning them around the Roll era tbh... that was the turning point, and sadly it was all downhill from there for me. I'll always have a soft spot for them and their music, but yeah, not an active fan anymore tbh.

Hahaha, sure I'll roll with that! I really didn't want to like this song and I probably shouldn't, but yea I actually did. Lyrically it's a bit trite, but overall I thought it was catchy and kind of fun. I knew that given the lyrics it wasn't going to do well, but I don't regret my top ten ranking for this one bit!

I enjoyed the Emerson Drive song well enough, though I probably overranked it a bit at my excitement at hearing a new Emerson Drive song lol. I will co-sign that I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to rank their earlier albums. Especially their first one, there isn't a bad song on that album imo!!!

This is a bit disappointing. While this is not his best work, I love BC boy Chad Brownlee. Not sure how much he is known in the US, but he is one of the radio favourites in Canada. He's been constantly on the chart since 2009 with one #1 hit. You might not enjoy this, but trust me, he got some better ones!! You'll see him more in the future year-end RD. He's awesome at concert as well. My last concert was his acoustic one back in Oct when the restriction was loosened here in BC. If you follow ice hockey, he used to be a hockey player and played for a minor team Idaho Steelheads.

"Money On You" was SO HORRENDOUS!!!! I can't stand this, what I call... High Valley style of music. And I was saddened to learn it's running rampant in Canada

Also, hard to believe that Chad Brownlee... the artist that gave us this fantastic, edgy, country-rock anthem... also gave us dreck like "Money On You" just wow

Speaking of High Valley style, we are losing The Washboard Union. First one to leave from my current city Vancouver aka a place where nobody appreciates country music. Unlike Brownlee, this music represents their style, and thus, if you don't enjoy this style like LBTrocks , TWU may be not for you. On the other hand you like this bluegrass style, check out more of TWU. They are getting popular since around 2015, and this is their biggest hit so far. I quite enjoy the mood of this song, but the instrumental production could be better, kinda overproduced. Also, this was overplayed last winter.

The only reason I picked this was because this was promoted in the US small market. Actually did better in Country Indicator Chart/Music Row Chart (top30) than in Canada Country Chart. Bobby Wills was regular chart hitter around mid 2010s, but lost momentum after 2017. This is his first chart entry since 2017, and barely scratched the bottom of the chart. Not a big fan of this song, but he's somehow my FB friend, so I'm not gonna make anymore negative comments. New single "Getting Her Over You" is being promoted in the US small market as well.

I like this single and I think I like Pour Me even more. Both would’ve ranked mid to lower end for me. Not the best but better than the truck songs 🤷

Yeah, James Pour Me is also a good one! Shame it didn't do well on the chart.
Speaking of Owen, His EP Tough Times just came out 2 days ago, and my guess is that this will be the next single. Very pleasant song.
Again, I like him, but not sure how much he can do on the radio.

While she has never been on Billboard Chart, she's my favorite from Ontario. I didn't expect this to be out this early... She has a powerful, strong voice (song like "Don't" has a nice rock element). All Woman has a strong feminist message delivered well though beautiful chorus melody. She started All Woman Music project, where she invited her fellow singers to perform together on FaceBook to support female Canadian country artists, like Robyn Ottolini or Kendra Kay. She just released a new one, which you might find in New Music RD for March!

Aaron Goodvin was signed to the label as a songwriter at first, and wrote songs for Luke Bryan, Scotty McCreery, and Cole Swindell etc. His radio career started around 2016, and he never missed top 20 with his singles, and has one #1 hit. He was also promoted in the US small market and entered Country Indicator/Music Row Breakout Chart with Bars and Churches and, currently, Lonely Drum (kinda old song from 2017). This song has a nice rock vibe, but his vocal is kinda rough to me. This is in my playlist, only because this grew on me thanks to overplay.

First top 5 loss in this RD! Another High Valley Style is leaving! Tim Neufeld is originally a folk/bluegrass singer from Abbotsford BC (1 hour from Vancouver) He formed this band early 2010s and their radio career suddenly started with this song last year, and looks like T&G has momentum on the chart, with follow-up single becoming top 10 hit. When You Know You Know is their first single on the chart, and I quite enjoy this catchy jam, while it may not necessarily be a country song. If you don't like High Valle/Wash Board, T&G isn't for you.
