"Everybody Sings" is sooooooo catchy for most of the song......but then that cheerleader practice in the bridge is so unnecessary and awkward... It would have been a strong contender for last place when I first got the album, but I have gotten so used to the song through the years that I just kinda tune out the bridge and only remember it for how catchy everything else is.

"Everybody Sings" is a guilty pleasure for me. I just find it really catchy and I've never found it annoying like many have, but I did expect it to be out in the bottom 3.

#11 Edge Of A Thunderstorm
Another track from the Deluxe edition is leaving. dgarcia3377 and James lost the top 5 here. CLD's ThoughtI just gave another listen to this song, and this is not bad at all. Even at my #11, I would say I moderately enjoy this, while not as memorable as other tracks. This would have been more interesting with a stronger productions or more powerful melody, as it would be consistent with the title "Thunderstorm." Anyways, glad "11" did not end up at #11.Dinner break, but may continue tonight.

I thought this was the weaker of the two bonus tracks personally. Still good though. Even my #13 isn't "bad" though as I LOVE this album.

Anyways, glad "11" did not end up at #11.
Normally I'm rooting for stuff like this to happen, but in this case the tragedy of such an action would have vastly overshadowed the coolness of it :(

And I agree with the host that "Edge of a Thunderstorm" could have used a bit more creative production to really buy into the theme of the title. I do like it a lot, but it has also always been on the more forgettable side compared to a lot of the album for me.

#10 Good Times
As this one ties with #9 in the score, I chose the one with a higher Std. as #10. .indulgecountry and zaclord 🌈 lost their #13 while ClevelandRox sadly becomes the first one to lose the top 3. The acoustic version of this song is included in the Deluxe Edition. This was released as a promotional single and made it to #50 in Hot Country Chart. Sarah Buxton co-wrote this one CLD's ThoughtThis song is a great catchy opener of the album, but becomes kinda forgettable after 3 strong tracks follows soon after + lyrics are a little weak. I was a bit surprised that this ended up becoming one of the polarizing ones here. Also, don't forget to de-capitalize and pluralize the title when you search for this, or you will be "Trying to catch a good time"

#9 One Song Away
Tying with Good Times with lower Std. is One Song Away. tim and bboat11 lose their first top 5s. CLD's ThoughtThis was the most forgettable one to me, but I still find the melody of this song to be quite beautiful. This is one of a few slower songs in the album, and works well as a mood-changer, but this is followed by Easier to Lie and 11, which are two better slow songs imo, and thus, I always forget about this song. Another example of a good song not standing out much because the whole album is strong. I'm stopping here! {Remaining Songs}Champagne Wasting All These Tears I Wish I Could Break Your Heart You Hear A Song This Car Easier To Lie 11 Proved You Wrong

Ha, just when I was thinking I was doing rather well for an album that was a first-time listen for me...I lose a top five! “One Song Away” was one of my favorite discoveries from this album and I’m glad that I was at least joined by bboat11 in the top 5 as that gives me some solace in my gut feeling I had about the song.

"Good Times" is the only really skippable thing on the album. I don't hate it, but it doesn't have an enjoyable vibe to it... something feels off and generic in ways that the rest of the album doesn't, and its catchiness pales in comparison to her usual standard. I prefer to just start the album on track 2 and go from there, honestly. Pleasantly surprised to see that I'm apparently not alone, because I did not have great faith that it would be tanked to the bottom of this rankdown like it was, so I am happy about that!

Wholeheartedly agree with you. This was an easy last place for me, but didn't know how far it would go in the rankdown. Glad it didn't make it any further. I don't love this album as much as some of you here. I haven't listened to it in many, many years until this RD. So I'm glad "Good Times" is out before any of the songs I genuinely love. I have my 1-7 and 9 left, so good start for me!

#8 Proved You Wrong
Kicking off the second reveal day with Prove You Wrong. LBTrocks joins ClevelandRox and lost his top 3. CLD's ThoughtThis and my #13 are the only songs that I couldn't really get into. Chorus melody sounds just bland. This is the last track of the album (original edition), and it's a bit weak ending for this strong album. Definitely prefer Prove You Wrong by Sheryl Crow! Another participant is about to lose his top 3 next!

"Proved You Wrong" also falls in the back half of this album for me, but just because the album is so strong. I still love it! I enjoy the way the second half of the chorus melody gets higher and more intense.

#7 Champagne
This is the only promotional single (out of 4) that did not make it to the Hot Country Chart. bboat11 becomes the third participant to lose his top 3. CLD's ThoughtChampagne is a jam and upset that this is missing the top 5! Might not be the best song lyrically, but one of the catchiest songs from the album and always makes me want to sing along. Next, 4 participants are losing their top 3!

"Champagne" is by far my favorite album track on this album! That chorus melody is absolutely perfect for driving around with the windows down in the summer. I always felt like if they went with a 3rd single, this needed to be it.

#6 You Hear A Song
Losing another promotional single and SHOOTER becomes the first one to lose the top 2! This one is the second most polarizing song with four top 3 rankers while LBTrocks and CLD myself lost #13. This leaves Kris Kringle, castleoblivion26, and ClevelandRox to be the only three participants with #13 still left. CLD's ThoughtI'm totally with LBTrocks for this. While the verse of this song is not bad, I just don't enjoy the chorus melody at all. This is above Champagne just by 2 points, but also missed the top 5 with 2 points!

This is above Champagne just by 2 points, but also missed the top 5 with 2 points! I usually am not a huge fan of choruses that start out in major keys and randomly switch to a minor key on random lines in the middle. This one took me awhile to get used to as a result of that. However, LBTrocks is literally our Minor Key King, so this rank make no sense. This chorus should have gotten him at full attention, lmao.

I hope my #13 can at least be out at #5 because why is it this high? Other than that my entire Top 4 is still intact so hopefully that plays out that way because those 4 deserve the Top 4 easily!

castleoblivion26 your wish is granted! #5 This Car
The last reveal of the day is the most polarizing song! Three participants lost #2 while two lost #13! This started very well and was the top 3 contender, but lost the momentum by the end. CLD's ThoughtThis song is the catchiest song of the album, with Champagne. I'm quite surprised that this was the most polarizing one, and that 2 posters put this in the last spot! Glad that this made it to the top 5 at least!

Gives me major "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson vibes, which is also one big musical cheese-fest.

Pleasantly surprised to see "Easier to Lie" in the top 4! The singles + "11" felt like a given to me, but that one I didn't really know what to expect with it, but it is 100% one of the highlights on this album. Not only is the lyric very strong, but it is melodically SO wonderful. I love the way her ad-libs slide in between her belts in the chorus near the end, its so damn SMOOTH. This is a really strong top 4.

#4 Easier To Lie
Kicking off the last reveal day with Easier To Lie! This has seven top 5 rankers and three bottom 3 rankers. This had a great start and was holding the #3 spot until the final 3 lists from LBTrocks , Kris Kringle , and SHOOTER . Interestingly, the writers of this song are completely different from other tracks in the album. CLD's ThoughtThis is definitely the best ballad song from this album. I love the Pope's delivery in this song. Great lyrics, melody, and production. I don't think this would have been a single even if there had been a third single from the album, but rather I feel like this is one of those songs that always exist as a strong album track.
