What will be #1? “That Ain’t No Way to Go” What will make up the Top 3? “That Ain’t No Way to Go” followed closely by “She Used to Be Mine” in the top 2; it’s unlikely that an album track would make it this far, so probably the title track
What will be #10? Hmm…”I Can’t Put Out This Fire”? What will make up the bottom 3? “I Can’t Put Out This Fire”, “Texas Women (Don’t Stay Lonely Long)”, and “Heartbroke Out of My Mind”
Which single will be out first? “Rock My World” or “We’ll Burn That Bridge” Which album track will last longest? “Our Time Is Coming”

We're starting off on the right foot as the correct two songs left first! There really is a clear difference of quality I think between the singles that were released and the album tracks. It had been quite some time since I last listened the album, but even then I could only really recall or remember two of them.

Oh didn't see ICPOTF going first, I actually really like this one.
"Texas Women" is fine, I could've seen them releasing it as a single though it might've not done as well as their streak was going back then.

That being said, I did enjoy "Texas Women" quite a bit! I could totally imagine myself enjoying hearing it on the radio!

Dadgummit! The hatred here on Pulse for anything with Kix on it still makes me shake my head. This has always been one of my favorite tracks from this album. I kinda regret not placing this one spot higher into my top 5, so I hope that didn't end up making a difference otherwise I'll really be kicking myself.

Yea, so I should've just went ahead and kept "Mexican Minutes" in my top 5 before making a last minute revision lol. That said, if any one of the album tracks were going to make it into the top 5 I figured "Our Time Is Coming" stood the best chance. I would've gladly taken that over "We'll Burn That Bridge" which has never been a favorite of mine.

"Mexican Minutes" got dumber the more I listened to it. The country songs about going to Mexico and drinking usually work fine for me, but this one felt a touch too corny and I think the line about running out of chips and salsa is the one that kinda did it in for me.

For real though, that's always the worst feeling at a Mexican restaurant

I'm here now!!!
"Rock My World" is a song that ranges from decent yet forgettable radio fodder to horrible trash depending on the day, so it was time for it to go. It deserved the top 5 based on impact, but that's about it. It's not just Kix's vocals by any means, it's the fact that this whole song just reeks of old '90s cheese, especially if you watch the music video! Lmao. And Kix's vocals of course don't help...
"We'll Burn That Bridge" is enjoyable! I'll take that perfect ranking!
"Hard Working Man" next please............

DOWN TO THE FINAL TWO!
Fun facts about this final 2:
They are the least polarizing of the entire list
They both occupied the Top 2 the entire time
They are separated by 1 point: 14 vs 15 points!

"Rock My World (Little Country Girl)" is definitely one of my guilty pleasures! While it hasn't quite aged as well, it was certainly a song for the times as country line dancing was probably at the peak of its popularity then.
"We'll Burn That Bridge" has never really been a favorite of mine as I find the melody to be a bit too clunky.
The top two was all but a given I think, so "Hard Workin' Man" leaving next isn't much of a surprise. While I can't say I enjoy this one as much as I did back in the day, that nostalgia factor always kicks in whenever I hear it and takes me right back in time to this era!

While I still have to give the edge to "That Ain't No Way To Go", both of the songs are just as deserving of the win.

and there you have it. Tomorrow I'll post a final reminder for Cowboy Town, as I'm gonna begin reveals on Sunday night so please get your list in between now and Saturday night if you haven't yet.
Super sad to see "That Ain't No Way To Go" miss by just 1 point. This has long been one of my favorites from them and was even my #1 in their singles rankdown. That said I do love "She Used To Be Mine" so I'm not really upset with the outcome, just sad that "That Ain't No Way To Go" was so close!!!

Both of these songs are so incredible Even though "That Ain't No Way To Go" is one of my go-to faves from B&D, "She Used To Be Mine" is every bit as iconic and definitely a deserving winner. Very excited to see them both prove to be so competitive!

It's always interesting when the album rankdown results end up being a reversal from an artists singles rankdown as "That Ain't No Way to Go" made it into the top 5 there. Either way, it was still close and as it should be as both of them have gone on to be two of their signature hits.
