www.radioandrecords.com/Newsroom/2004_12_27/clearchannel.aspMonday, Dec. 27, 2004 Clear Channel Splits Salisbury, MD Oldies Simulcast The company breaks apart WLBW & WLVW (The Wave 92.1 and 105.5) on Maryland's Eastern Shore, as WLVW changes its calls to WDKZ and becomes CHR/Pop as "105.5 Kiss FM" under cluster PD and acting cluster OM Brian Cleary. The move pits Kiss against longtime CHR/Rhythmic WOCQ (OC104)/Salisbury, MD, which also covers the Ocean City, MD portion of the Salisbury Arbitron market. WLBW's signal is based near Ocean City and covers portion of Salisbury. From me: Salisbury-Ocean City, where I went on vacation as a child, previously lacked a CHR-Pop station. WOCQ is second and WLBW/WLVW is fifth in the ratings.

www.radio-info.com/mods/board?Post=324218&Board=washbalIt's about freaking time someone competed with Rhythmic powerhouse OC104. The call letters stand for "Delmarva Kiss". 105.5 is a small signal unfortunately. This would have done better on 95.9. The market also has a CHR station on 1590 AM. A year or two back, there was CHR on 106.9 (now Alternative) and 95.3/101.7 (now Hot AC).

It pretty much rocks. I got a chance to listen through static a little bit today, and it's a nice, well-balanced CHR. They seemed to be alternating between rock and rhythm every song. Much better mix than the typical CC CHR I thought.
