kworb's Billboard Radio Songs Estimates 2021/01/30 -(-) Ava Max - My Head & My Heart 5.71(+1.06) I can't believe I'm actually saying this but here goes: I'm actually rooting for Ava Max to get a hit song Mostly, I'm just fascinated that this is being pushed so quickly and so heavily after Kings & Queens, especially as it hasn't yet peaked elsewhere. You'd think it'd be a while (if ever) before we'd hear from Ava again given how long it took for K&Q to cross over.

Perhaps Kings and Queens was the deal for pop radio to actually pay attention. They were gonna write her off as a one hit wonder until they ended up playing K&Q to death so maybe they want more now.

Looks like BTS won't go recurrent this week after all: The 12 week sales #1 (highest for a non-collab) did that.

Looks like BTS won't go recurrent this week after all: This tweet is inaccurate, as Winston does not have any clue about what the website sales for Dynamite looks like until the results get posted on Monday/Tuesday. As shown by him predicting Dynamite to be #3 instead of #5 (where it actually was) after Christmas week, he has no insider sources either. In addition, website sales never get reported until the weekend, which is why no one with sources (chartdata/Forbes) knows digital sales numbers until Monday. There is no reason this tweet is correct. I'm sure he only posted that to get clout from BTS stans, since he never gets clout from anything else he posts. Stop relying on his predictions. He never posts raw numbers for every song because he doesn't want to look bad when he messes up the raw data, and because he has no intention in helping other people understand the numbers. When he does post raw numbers, it's incredibly inaccurate, such as when he posted that Drivers License was going to debut with over 750 points but then it only did around 650. No other predictor has access to website sales either, but none of them act like their sales estimates are facts. He's also known to have a shady attitude towards other predictors, including TOTC, by pinpointing miniscule things he got right other people got wrong. While there are so many other placements every week other predictors get right he got wrong, they aren't as egotistical as he is to shade him by posting that they got that correct.

^Probably fueled by BE Essential edition being announced, I would guess.

kworb's Billboard Radio Songs Estimates 2021/01/30 -(-) Ava Max - My Head & My Heart 5.71(+1.06) Naked deserved to get a proper push too but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that MH&MH will become a hit. Maybe this one will make people check out Ava's debut album especially since we're getting the deluxe version soon.

The music video for drivers license fell to #2 in US weekly views slightly behind the one for Back In Blood.

I hope "Dynamite" goes recurrent sooner rather than later. These sales can't help it then because it would need to grow on two components in a major way for it to re-enter I think.
They really wastin' money on this? It's already a big hit, and well past it's prime anyways.

(For reference, their predictions also put WAP and Savage Love right on the cusp of recurrency.) Also, Lukas did mention earlier that Winston's prediction about Dynamite's sales is not to be trusted, and with the Lil Durk album bomb on the way, I expect it to be gone pretty soon regardless.

So just because it took Kings and Queens a long time to become a hit, she also has to wait a while to release her next single? Don't really see your line of reasoning there. K&Q has peaked already, so now's the best time more than ever, as with any pop artist, to release the next single while the iron is still hot.

A big wow for Blinding Lights. It is a big song but I don't feel it as iconic song yet, maybe in 3-4 years.

I guess my thinking is that she’s generally been seen as more of a novelty than as an act with any real staying power since her debut, so it’s surprising to me (and probably to a lot of us) that she’s not only evaded one-hit wonder status, but is well on her way to getting a third hit in the US.

It's already top 10 on Pop after three weeks. Pretty impressive and I'm glad radio got on board so quickly.

I have a terrible feeling that Put Your Records On will crack the top 10 since it's continuing to gain on radio.

One good thing about 2021 is that we're giving Chris Stapleton a solo hit and hopefully it has enough staying power to make the YE.

Maybe the following week, but what would really help is if radio pulled Holy. The stability of Holy certainly isn't helping Lonely (or Anyone). I also didn't like the idea of Justin releasing Anyone before Holy reached its peak on radio.

4(=) Ariana Grande - positions 113.05(+0.06) This is losing a lot of spins at Top 40 and also losing some spins at Rhythmic. How did it gain in impressions? I know it's gaining some at Hot AC, but you wouldn't think that could compensate for the overall huge loss in spins.
