I wanna live in a world where Fat Joe can get a hit in 2021, but sadly it's not happening. He had a hit in 2016 when no one was expecting it and even charted briefly in late 2019 thanks to that song with Eminem and Mary J. Blige, so it's still possible. |

Sunshine is nice, even adding Rihannaβs name on it wouldβve gave them a chart entry. Another come n go.

Wait, they nullified and invalidated Girls Like You's chart run? I must have missed when that happened, but if that's the case, then I guess we can call Lucid Dreams a #1 hit after all. I think atg is referring to Adam Levine as a solo act only (ironic, I know), since his last collaboration to have charted was "Locked Away" back in 2015. Yea i was. Also an interesting but infuriating fact is that thereβs a specific writer and producer on the song βLocked Awayβ, and its a complete irony considering that this person was freshly accused of you know.. |

Not us already into the second month of 2021 via Billboard weeks. Also weβre practically finishing the first quarter already as far as 2021 Year End charts tracking. Weβll be in 2030 before we know it. Assuming, of course, that we all live that long. Humans will be around in 2030, but the United States won't be, so there won't be a Hot 100. The plans are for the whole world to merge into one massive country, so there will be probably be a World Hot 100 or something. |

As of 7:30pm ET... AM #19 Skin #20 Los Dioses #36 Lo Vas a Olvidar iTunes #6 Skin #9 Wellerman #12 Lo Vas As of now, these are the only brand-new tracks I can see debuting this week. Not going to update these songs per se, but Antes and 100 (both by Anuel AA and Ozuna) have entered the AM top 40, so these could sneak onto the Hot 100 this week as well. |

I know this will make no impact this week, but can we please give Avril a hit this year. If MGK did it with a pop punk song, she can. Her voice in this song is so great and nostalgic, giving me vibes to her early days.

Other news: apparently mgk x corpse (yea, the YouTuber everyone's simping abt) track's dropping on 29th & it's said to be a screamo/punk track. We might actually see a Scremo track on hot100. Has it occurred before? |

I'm starting to think that Lovely Day is the Blinding Lights of the iTunes chart, and will be there in perpetuity. I really love the song and all, and understand that it is clearly Bill Withers biggest hit, but does it really need to be hanging consistently in the Top 10 or 20 of the iTunes chart for 10 months after his death?

The "biggest hit" of an artist is kind of a subjective term I think.
There are lots of examples where the artists "biggest hit" is not defined well by the initial chart run. "Biggest hits" can change over time depending on how much exposure the song continues to get.

It's official, we have an all-female top 5 on Spotify with all entries by different artists. π
Delighted to see "Streets" reaching a new peak of #5, and Billie Eilish and ROSALIA's song rising to #3.
