I wonder what is the reasoning behind this album title...
At first I thought it could be the name of one of Adam's children, but that isn't the case. And it would be weird to name it after the kids of any other band member.
Nice album cover, though. Pretty standard, but it gives me "Overexposed" vibes. Definitely an improvement over the previous one, that's for sure!

schnetzka Oh yeah! I did some quick research right now, and the band's manager was Jordan Feldstein, and if the "Memories" video is any indication, it seems like his nickname was Jordi. He must have been a very dear figure to the band.

They tend to have at least one track per album that stands out for me, and that'll be "Lost" this time (I like "Convince Me Otherwise" too), but first impressions have me thinking this'll be my least favorite of their albums. Sigh.

Hold up. That strand of songs from "Lost" through "Remedy" is actually really solid. Those four plus "Nobody's Love" make a nice little EP. "Convince Me Otherwise" is fine too, just not something I see myself listening to a lot. The rest are exactly how I expected this album to sound, though.

at the "Target Exclusive" version being available as the deluxe on iTunes. A mess. Also, SHOOTER: Brickseek doesn't work for the Target exclusive because the codes can't be found LOL. Edit: Had to get a worker to drag it from the back, but got my hands on it. I have supported this band ever since SAJ and haven't stopped. Looking forward to diving in tonight.

Yeah, this one doesn't have as many immediate killers on first listen like most Maroon 5 albums usually have (besides the 3 singles, of course). But, it has some growers for sure, and the album isn't "bad" by any means.
I really like Seasons and then One Light the more I listen.
If not for Lost, I would have chosen One Light as the next single.
And, I wish a lot of these songs were a little longer. You get Stevie Nicks to feature, you gotta let that ride a little! But, it's a nice track while it lasts. Her presence and the way they sing together during the chorus legit makes it feel like a Fleetwood Mac song at times.

Ignore the trap cadences and it seems like Adam cares. I don't hate this. Even the terrible songs like One Light and Lifestyle might eventually grow on me or could be put on a boating playist or something. Like, if I were on a cruise ship with a bunch of 50 yr old white people, these songs would be lit. But, I agree it's not their best. Even Red Pill Blues was better. They have yet to make anything offensively bad and some people might think that is a problem, but I will take MOR over unlistenable any day.
Memories (Crazy that this song wound up being the best on the album, but here we are. This song is very personal to me, but I also think it's a really solid tune.) Nobody's Love (I never heard this until the album and I really dig it, especially compared to the rest of the album) Remedy Seasons Lovesick Echo Lost Can't Leave You Alone Button Beautiful Mistakes Memories Remix Convince Me Otherwise (what a...weird song. I don't think I'm used to Adam singing that low for that long and...not sure I really like it. Also, the song doesn't really go anywhere, but it's kinda cool if you're high.) One Light Lifestyle (nope.)

In those cases, use the TCIN code (Target’s internal code) on PopFindr.

Bitter “Seasons” only has one verse and is otherwise so short because it’s the immediate standout to me.

Better than Red Pill Blues for sure, but not as good as V or Overexposed.
Lovesick is probably my favorite, followed by Lost and Nobody’s Love. Echo, Remedy, and Convince Me Otherwise are also pretty good. Strangely, the Memories remix kinda works, and I don’t hate it.

I like "Jordi". If I still purchased full releases more I would have been happy with my purchase. As of now I only purchased a few new tracks. "Lost, Seasons, and Buttons". "Seasons" may be my favorite out of the 3 but I REALLY like them all. I already had "Beautiful Mistakes" and the original of "Memories". I may end up going back to the full release because I was on the fence with a couple of songs.

Remedy is the song I've liked the best from them in YEARS - I hope it gets a radio push.

Does anyone know what language Adam is singing in the second verse of Seasons?

This is solid. I don't think they've ever made a bad album, just a couple of underwhelming/uninspired ones. Lost and Lovesick are my favorites on the first listen.

At their caliber, they don’t really make bad albums.
But I do miss Adam’s vocals, I don’t really hear him really singing on here like he used to.

They are currently lingering in the middle ground without proper sales and streaming support - hence the low numbers. They get their $'s from airplay and touring so it doesn't really matter (although their string of top ten album is in danger)

Unfortunately, this was released during COVID, with an unusually long roll out period (across 2 years lol). The "lead single" was a #1 hit two years ago, before the album was even announced properly. This is coming out long after everyone already bought Memories.
I doubt they have the same sales expectations that they normally would.

I was just wondering if they had the fan base to hit #1, but looking at their past debuts it’s either #1 or #2.
Looks like it’ll miss it based on those predictions. Their last album to not peak at those Top 2 spots: Songs About Jane (#6).

Remedy is the song I've liked the best from them in YEARS - I hope it gets a radio push. Yeah, this has crawled up to the top of the heap for me now. A real bop. Also, on the whole (as is the case with all their albums), this album is a good one to just put on and let play or on shuffle. I think Maroon 5 have learned what works for them (like P!nk) and this is what I expect from them for the rest of the career, like it or not.

Hmm, maybe I'm deaf, but I don't hear what Garrett is talking about (ARTV's review is kinda a kii, but it's just his opinion)

Hmm, maybe I'm deaf, but I don't hear what Garrett is talking about (ARTV's review is kinda a kii, but it's just his opinion) Not really "falling off the beat". He's doing a sort of playful, free flowing cadence throughout the verse over the trap-like beat. Each couple of lines he's changing up his rhythm. Last line of the verse he says "Never thought that I'd ever know what that is" really quickly, almost Eminem style. You can see the lyrics in their official upload below. I've grown to really love this track. It's such a loose, dreamy, sunny day vibe. Not meant to be a rigid, formulaic radio single. It doesn't even have a second verse.

As a M5 fan, this album disappointed me after first listen. I hope it's a grower.
