She really didn’t need all those damn parentheticals on the back of the album. Her team should have designed a little icon for “Taylor’s version” and another for “From the vault” and used them on printed materials Honestly if I had one complaint it’s why do the vault songs have any parenthesis at all, there were no original versions to distinguish from. I agree about the titles being ridiculously long just because.

I think the reason the Vault songs have Taylor’s version is to separate from any Demo versions that are out there. We Were Happy and You All Over Me demos were leaked years ago so the Fearless Taylor’s Version works to make an difference. I’m assuming the same for Red Taylor’s Version vault versions.

I told my partner that on November 19th he needs to call me up again just to break me like a promise and let me sulk for the week so I can re-experience RTV in full. I'll also be in New England, so it will be very autumnal. Perfect.
Then he needs to call me up and say "I STILL LOVE YOU" so I can tell him this is exhausting and that we are never getting back together, like ever.
He's marked it in his calendar. He's dating an absolute psychopath and I'm lucky he puts up with my absolute stupidity. <3
(He's also very English. Total Joe Alwyn vibes. I'm basically Taylor.)

She has added (Taylor's Version) to literally every song she re-releases (or reveals from the vault) because not only does it distinguish the original/leaked versions of those songs from her versions for the general public & casual fans when they search up those songs on streaming, but it also is a subtle way to fully regain ownership of her past and drive the point home to Scooter & Scott that these are HER songs and HER memories, and those memories are things they will never keep from her. It's also a way to inspire other artists, especially young artists, to fight for better record deals and to use her as a lesson to never let anybody capitalize on things they had no hand in creating. If even one new artist's work is safe in their own hands from the onset of their career after this, it's worth it to have that moniker that you can literally just ignore if it really bothers you this much. EDIT: yes Track 30's title made me laugh a little I'll admit but still you yourself can literally just call it the 10 minute version of "All Too Well," I'm sure that's what she'd do in person

Hope I’m not the only one excited about that jam that is Babe. Sugarland already did a great job with it but I’m really looking forward to her solo version!!

I'm just hoping that the TV version of the album means that "All Too Well" can finally be a single. I doubt it would do much at this point, but I hope it's the focus track, like "Love Story" was from the tv of Fearless.

I'm being greedy and I'm sure this won't happen, but I would absolutely die if we got Taylor's version of "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home" from the Hannah Montana Movie soundtrack.

I just noticed the vinyl is up for pre-order. It looks as if they're hoping to ship them during release week, which is a relief because it was exhausting waiting 4-6 months for the vinyls of folklore and evermore to be delivered lol

I guess that confirms why there was such a long gap in between re-releases: waiting for vinyls to be ready.
Smart, I guess. Hope they’re getting the others in the queue to be pressed as we speak so they can drop them in a quicker succession.
Also… why the f**k are the vinyls black and not red?!

DeuxMoi just posted a tip that Taylor is working on something “major” and that it will be visual. We’ll see!

I saw something someone posted where Taylor is quoted saying that she shot a video for Cruel Summer early spring of 2020 but then Covid quarantine etc got so much worse and Folklore happened so they didn't release it. Does anyone know if this is true or did I just see someone's made-up story?

Does anyone know if this is true or did I just see someone's made-up story? this is a plausible scenario. combined with the fact that the song opens with the phrase "fever dream high," the optics weren't looking so good for a 5th single from Lover. at the same time, I am more compelled to think this is fan fiction. why would Taylor Swift even mention this, if it were true?

There was also the evidence of the song appearing under Cool New Music right around the same time, indicating a probable push for radio airplay, but that also ceased pretty quickly. Whether that means a full fledged single release and music video released was planned is speculation at best, but it's interesting to think about.

Thanks for the answers, Kimberly and Austin. The quote I am thinking of was on a couple of Instagram posts but I was and am at work when I saw it so can't go looking to see if I can find an actual link to an actual statement from Taylor. So I'm not sure if someone just found a fake quote or there is an actual legitament source

Honestly, I always thought the rumours of “Cruel Summer” becoming a single were just a red herring to draw us away from the revelation Taylor was about to surprise drop a new album. I know it’s been said the label had no idea about the album until hours before its release, but this always struck as untrue. I mean, there was literally someone here on Pulse hinting about folklore days before it was announced, so I just can’t imagine Republic knew absolutely *nothing* lol

Does anyone know if Taylor is going to re-record Beautiful Eyes and her Christmas album? I know Beautiful Eyes was on EP so did not know if they would redo it.

She hasn't announced either way, but people are speculating that she will. She's clearly making an effort to re-record everything that she can, even acoustic versions of songs and songs like Ronan. I can't imagine she would leave out an entire EP and her Christmas album that contains original songs.
