hey, in a rankdown this fierce, everything that landed in the top half has achieved a victory IMO

especially so for B-Movie, Bongos & Suicidal Tendencies (what I consider the Cinderella stories here)...I never expected them to do this well

I like this version better...it’s the one I grew up listening to...when I heard the EP version I was worried people would tank this, but I just ignored that & based my ranking on this version

... an 81 sure, but remember I had Nellie the L-E-Funt in my bottom 5 despite it being in a personal rank down

My ranking does not tell the whole story here. This is my favorite Beatles song, and this cover while being very solid, left out the drums fills and the swell towards the end, which is my favorite part. A respectable cover for sure but it pales next to the original.

I've had complicated feelings, when it comes to this cover, especially given how much I love the original. It's only recently where I've seen the true greatness of this cover, that it takes a Beatles song and effectively reworks it as a goth ballad, and how well it works in that context.

It's not really all that close to being a personal favorite Siouxsie song, but I respect how they were able to make this song their own.
