Narwhals' error that we didn't catch until it was brought up to us is rankdown-changing, and probably the biggest rankdown-changing error I've ever seen. There are too many changes to mention. It would be one thing if this was like 2016 and it was text-only, because those can be easily fixed, but wrip is doing graphics for reveals, and now practically every reveal so far (and pretty much every reveal after) is wrong.
This isn't good, guys, I'm not going to lie to you. This is going to take time to fix.How does one list affect so much? Sorry :/ |

Okay, hi, I've been a bit rain delayed, so my apologies for just now stepping in. When Narwhals submitted, we were pretty much going through and inserting every list without checking them too much. That's never a good thing, but, usually, any mistakes that are made in submissions are minor.

Normally, mistakes like yours don't affect the results all that much. They tend to be "oh, I ranked this song by this artist at this spot, not this one". The problem was that the error in your ranking was at the very beginning of the list when sorted from A-Z. Somewhere along the way, you must have gotten rid of the "5" in "5 Seconds of Summer" accidentally, because this:
"5 Seconds of Summer - She Looks So Perfect"
became this:
"Seconds of Summer - She Looks So Perfect"
Again, these types of errors do not change the entire rankdown normally. The problem is that "She Looks So Perfect" is the second song when sorting the songs from A-Z, because numbers always come first. Take out the 5 at the beginning, and the song goes from second in the order...to 90th. That's over 85 songs where your rankings for those songs are wrong (and, in some cases, extremely wrong). Dozens of songs were in the wrong spots because of that one lone error. Not only that, but every song impacted had the wrong stats: Point totals, standard deviations, top halves, etc.
The lone good news is that we caught it now, as opposed to halfway or, heaven forbid, even later. wrip only had to change 30 graphics, as opposed to 50 or more, and wrip only had to edit the reveal posts and preview posts that had already been posted. If you hadn't brought it up right then and there and waited until after the bottom half was revealed, then yeah, we probably would have had to have restarted the entire rankdown. Other than mentioning it the first night, this was the best-case scenario.
wrip is going to make a post about the changes to the rankdown themselves momentarily, but I felt like this needed to be explained. |

Yeah I legit donโt know how that happened, it must have gotten lost somehow. Although after I used the preference revealer, I did adjust a few songs, it must have gotten rid of the 5 then.
