"Leave the Door Open" is a grower. I actually liked it on my third listen.

Apple Music US 1. Drake - What's Next 2. Drake - Wants and Needs (feat. Lil Baby) 4. Drake - Lemon Pepper Freestyle (feat. Rick Ross)
This is the fastest I've ever seen Drake reach #1 on AM. This is the first AM US chart update of the week and all 3 songs are already in the top 4. No other song released today is in the top 100 yet.

Drake will debut at #1. It was clear before the release and even clearer now. The charts are so weak

Drake will debut at #1. It was clear before the release and even clearer now. The charts are so weak I've got to see the Spotify numbers over the weekend first but it's looking like all 3 songs could manage to debut in the top 10. The most surprising to me is Lemon Pepper Freestyle. It has no hook. It's just Drake and Rick Ross rapping over a beat on loop for over 6 minutes. I thought it'd be the slowest to reach the top 10 on AM US (if it even did). In comparison, another song that was almost as long (5:45) by Rick Ross/Drake (Gold Roses) peaked in the top 40 on AM and flopped on Spotify but still managed to debut at #39 on the Hot 100 back in 2019.

"Leave the Door Open" is a grower. I actually liked it on my third listen. I loved it after about 3 seconds π It's the song I've played the most out of everything that dropped today (27 plays so far) and it'll probably remain so throughout the week. It's a perfect song. Even my puppy loves it.

looks like we've gotta leave the door open for leave the door open to debut at #1? I think Drake's got the #1 on lock, but my gut tells me his songs are going to fizzle out like Toosie Slide, while Leave the Door Open will climb its way to #1 and have better longevity.

Hold On seems to be flopping the hardest. The song is #555 on AM, Bruno is #72. And it's only #35 on itunes, Bruno is #3

This is funny because I loved the single he dropped today. Zara Larsson's album is also excellent. By far the best music week so far this year.

Life's A Mess 2 is pretty bad, it's just the original without the drums and with Clever and Post added. Halsey was the better feature.
Post Malone should just stop doing features, idk why but dude always misses on his features, he's way better when he works alone or has a somebody feature on his hit.

Yeah I'm failing to see how Drake won't debut at 1 this week tbh. Charts are quite weak rn. If What's Next is doing multiple days above 2m on spotify, it's a lock

There are exceptions ("Jackie Chan", "Wolves", and "Tommy Lee"), but it's evident his features don't have the same pull compared to songs with him as the lead (even the barely promoted cover of "Only Wanna Be With You" still debuted in the top 10 on Spotify). I think he's probably in that awkward limbo between eras, and hence we're getting more misses than usual (think of Bruno and The Weeknd in 2018/2019). Hopefully things should get back on track once his new album rollout begins.

This is the original version that was recorded. But Juice WRLD wanted Halsey on the record so they made the one that was on LND.
But yeah, the Halsey version is quite better.
I don't get the point of releasing this recording. Like they don't tease another album, it is not a feature so you can say the artist wanted to release it (it is Juice's song). It is literally released for no good reason at all.
I am starting to dislike the way Lil Bibby is treating his legacy with pointless releases.
Juice was recording an album originally before he died, they said they will release it as 2nd posthumous album. And they should stop there.

It is literally released for no good reason at all. This is meant for Clever's debut album, which just makes it all the more sketchy, really, since he's just attaching his name for attention. I don't know if Clever and Juice actually knew each other, though, so if someone knows, do correct me on that regard. As for Post, he's only here because Clever is his co-sign. Everything about this collaboration just screams misguided.

Seems like these Drake songs are just a release for fans. Other artists release for vampires & werewolves? Lmao

Let the games begin! Drake/Lil Baby/Rick Ross, Bruno/Anderson Paak, Bieber, Juice Wrld/Post Malone, Selena/DJ Snake. Why dafuq we're good is #5 it's a streaming flop (curr stalling around 40)

I checked Kworb, saw Put Your Records On had an overall radio loss, and now I feel ready for the day.

Some really great releases this week! What's Next and Hold On are two of the best releases of Drake and Justin's careers in my opinion, I hope both do well. What's Next seems like it'll be huge and will be the lead single from CLB. But I guess we don't really know, but it does follow the pattern of One Dance and God's Plan being released on these 2-3 song EP's pre-album release, so it seems like they're following that pattern again. The Selena and DJ Snake song I also like, especially the sax part.
After everyone saying they love the Bruno/Anderson .Paak, I was disappointed to find I wasn't blown away by it, but it does have pretty slick vocals and production; it might go somewhere. It reminds me a lot of the ballads on 24K Magic, especailly Calling All My Lovelies.

After so many singles he is probably only gonna manage 4-5m at best.

It may have been enough to boost it back into the top 10 a week or two weeks ago even if only for one more week but dropping it in the same week that there'll be multiple top 10 debuts... I'm excited to see what the video is like, though.

As the great philosophical poet Nicki Minaj once said, "I bust shots, don't duck if it don't apply."
The entire music industry after hearing that Drake line:

Well, it was only a matter of time before Drake made a veiled reference to Kenny Chesney blocking DLDT from #1 on the BB 200.

Still a questionable release however

Seasons change and Post Malone act like he was like Drake (thinking his name is so powerful that anyone will have something to say about the quality of the features) maybe doing solos songs is the best circle
