i think its cuz pandora promotes one song as the single and since they have a deal with drake, they promote him heavily. And pandora probably has a lot of casual listeners so they just listen to whats new and promoted

As I imagined, other Drake songs saw a slight boost in streams thanks to the new music he released. Chicago Freestyle, Life Is Good, Popstar & Laugh Now Cry Later all seeing 50K+ increases is great.

I really hope this week's new songs don't lose too much streams over the weekend, especially Hold On. I really want it to debut in the top 10.

Good for Drake that he can still drop a single and be this big, but it just reminds me how tough it is for women once they hit their mid-30s. No one is talking about Drake's age, but for nearly any woman that would be an issue.

I totally agree, but I guess we'll see how some of the biggest female acts now in their 30's fare when they release albums this year/going forward.

Adele was 27 when she released her last album. Rihanna was 28 when she released her last album. Taylor was 30 when she released her last 2 albums. Beyoncè was 35 when she released her last studio album.

"Life's A Mess II" collapsed from #13 to #32, and there are no complaints from my part here.

And no sign of "Beautiful Mistakes" yet again...

I wonder when/if things will kick back up again. It's crazy that the biggest song in America in the last 8 weeks is pulling less than 1.5M daily streams on Spotify US.

I definitely wouldn't drop an album right now if I was a major mainstream artist.

Bruno/Justin had a better hold than Drake, but Drake debuted with a lot more streams so he had more streams to lose.

I think someone said earlier that the song can't play on Spotify or that it's having some other technical issue. I'm just surprised that Maroon 5's label hasn't sorted out the issue when the song has been out for 5 days now.

I think she loves making music, lol. She's said so lots of times and she wouldn't have churned out 8 albums in 8 years if she didn't love it. But I also think she felt she had dedicated enough time to JUST music that she was deserving of a break from it and it's really not like she hasn't been busy while taking a break with music. She's probably been more busy starting and managing 3 new major companies in the last 3 years than she was releasing an album a year, lol.

HDD already projected that in their 140-170M prediction. If those three songs held as well as LNCL did in its first week, SC2 would debut with 210M audio streams, not 140-170M.

firefox Does it really matter? We'll probably never know the whole truth and the Grammys can't magically nominate him for any awards in this year's award ceremony. What's done is done. He should just focus on the future and should probably learn to maybe not hold the Recording Academy to such high regard. He's not the only who has gotten screwed over by them and he won't be the last.
