The title explains it all, what are some songs that you think have aged really badly?

I love Celine, but I have to say the Unison album. I really did enjoyed the album, but some songs on there definitely would not fit in with current times.
Examples:
Next, Janet's "Dream Street" album. The production never lets you forget that it was the sound of the 80s. It's good if you're feeling nostalgia from that decade, lol. Otherwise, it probably won't be a good recommendation for the younger generation who has never fully experienced the 80s.
Examples:
Third, this one from J. Lo's "Love?" album. Super duper dated, for sure. lol

This one was curdled the second it released.

This one was curdled the second it released. Especially with that awful music video parodying Pokemon GO! - the trend peaked during that summer, and the song was released in October.

Some examples that came to mind
Not Afraid - recovery as a whole hasn't aged well but I think the production has especially aged on this one, especially on that bridge Boom Boom Pow and Kiss Kiss - nostalgia is a hell of a drug, were these songs always this bad? SexyBack - there was actually a few months I rediscovered this song and I thought it was good. Now...how is this supposed to be sexy? Here Without Me - Fuck Three Doors Down This Love - even back when they were "good", Maroon 5 was pretty bad The Reason - I actually still have a HUGE soft spot for this song but I know people hate it MOST 2014 HITS - I'll elaborate this more when the RD results come in but rest assured, this was an awful year to revisit.
I'd also like to include Senorita, not because of any instrumental problems but because the relationship gave us THAT gif.

This GIF is the definition of a trainwreck you can't stop watching, as it's so unbelievably embarrassing. π
Anyway, to answer the thread's topic, I do have a few songs that are absolute products of their time.
Everything about LMFAO just screams early 2010s. "Party Rock Anthem" still has a very nostalgic quality to it, but that drop is grating. The less said about "Sexy And I Know It" 's production, though, the better.

Him and I by G-Eazy and Halsey, because he literally says 2017 in the song (and the fact that they're obviously not together amymore).

"Blurred Lines" is definitely a great contender. Despite never liking the song myself, I can understand why the vintage 70s R&B inspired production and vocals were appealing to some, but as the years went by, literally everything about the song aged like milk:
- The lyrics, of course. With greater awareness and consciousness of respecting boundaries post-MeToo, a song complaining about the 'blurred lines' of consent was bound to age poorly, made worse by the awful 'I know you want it' hook and the sleazy nature throughout. - The production not only sounds pretty undercooked in comparison to much stronger throwback hits that came afterwards, but the Marvin Gaye lawsuit definitely soured the whole ordeal. - Robin Thicke. "Paula". Career-ruining record that destroyed his credibility among his fanbase, and made his name a joke in the mainstream. - In 2019, Pharrell Williams regrets having worked on the song, being embarrassed of the chauvinistic culture promoted by the lyrics, and currently disowns it. - More recently, T.I. has been accused by 30 women of 'forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation', which just makes the song even more uncomfortable to listen in 2021.
Looking forward to seeing this song left to the sands of time as it deserves to be. The fact "Radioactive", "Get Lucky", and "Can't Hold Us" have held up much better in comparison is already a great sign.

Cant Stop The Feeling - very bland song that only has gotten more lame Dark Horse - definitely does not hold up well with repeated plays especially the chanting and abrupt voice change

"F2020" is a must-add to this list. There's no way this will have any sort of longevity beyond maybe people remembering it related to the pandemic, which is not exactly a positive thing you want your song to be remembered by lol. It's already irrelevant despite coming out like 6 months ago haha.

All those dancehall songs from 2016-17, that trend died pretty quickly.

Blurred Lines is definitely the definitive answer of major hits from the last few years It was already controversial in 2013, and I'm assuming it'd be even more so in 2021.
