Beautiful Mistakes finally debuts on US Spotify at #129. It has also been added to Hot Hits USA (though it still does not appear on TTH).

I do think Follow You will flop or at least underperform.

Maybe cardi is really coming for #1 on hot 100..UP now has over a million streams on usa Spotify-surpassed bruno mars song. Cardi is above on sales-apple music and radio too...I don't think that bruno's performance tomorrow will have big impact...cardi's performance will be controversial

Oof, yeah, that's not a strong debut from Imagine Dragons. I don't even know if it'll chart on the Hot 100. I think their time has ran out.

I think it could still chart this week, but in the long run I donβt think itβll be anywhere near as big as most of their 2017-18 singles. And if this is truly the end of the road for their mainstream success, then I look forward to Toddβs inevitable Trainwreckords episode on Origins. That album is a disaster.

LOL all that from the initial Spotify debut - premature maybe?
Rock tracks tend to start out slower but have longer life spans

If we're talking modern popular music, rock songs tend to not have any lifespan whatsoever.

As for Origins, I haven't listened to it, but I don't think they should've released it so soon after Evolve, whose album cycle had just ended. They should've worked on the album more and released it in 2019 or 2020, which would give people enough of a break for them to be a welcome presence again.

Yep, rushing that albumβs release was one of the worst things they couldβve possibly done, and it shows in the final product. Iβd still like to keep an open mind and wait until their next album comes out to determine whether Origins is truly a Trainwreckord, but given Iβve heard more people talk about how bad their new B-side single Cutthroat is than the quality of the track theyβre actually pushing, that could be the case after all.

I wonder how far behind Leave the Door Open is from What's Next. I really thought early looks for next week would have the #1-#3 spots between Up, Leave the Door Open & Drivers License. Maybe the Grammy boost will edge it past What's Next? I did notice that the gap between Up and Leave the Door Open wasn't even that big this week. Up has been really steady on streaming. - 4 BRUNO MARS, ANDERSON .PAAK, & SILK SONIC LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN AFTERMATH/ATLANTIC 17,846,222 2 5 CARDI B UP ATLANTIC 17,766,224-1% My bet for who will go #1 next week will be on Cardi. She's already ahead and she'll have the Grammy boost. Something Drivers License won't have. Also if she's this close already, I can see her label doing anything they can to give her that final push to #1. Leave the Door Open would need to keep having monster gains on radio, go back to #1 on iTunes and build a massive lead there AND get a huge streaming boost to even keep up with Cardi from the (early) looks of things, but I do hope it's able to reach #1 after Up. It's probably the best record in the entire top 10. I hope Wants and Needs is able to stick around for a second week in the top 10 and I wonder what song will be able to take Lemon Pepper Freestyle's spot and re-enter the top 10.

Iβm more surprised at that Maroon 5 single debuting #129 than Imagine Dragons lol.
They are hanging on by radio giving them a chance more than ever.

Does βStreetsβ have a shot of going in the top 10? I would assume itβs also getting performed at the Grammys which is going to help.

Did Nick Jonas enter top 200 of US Spotify charts with Spaceman or This Is Heaven?

If anyone hasnβt heard it yet, Iβd recommend listening to the Streets (Disclosure Remix). Itβs a fvcking jam and it might be more palatable to ppl who donβt necessarily care too much for the original

Is it confirmed that Cardi B is performing Up? If so, I think sheβll finally get #1. the song is too stable and close to DL in points for it not to happen.

Does βStreetsβ have a shot of going in the top 10? I would assume itβs also getting performed at the Grammys which is going to help. I honestly doubt it. The video's biggest boost was in terms of free streams. Audio streams experienced a small increase but still minimal. Maybe an additional 4k in sales? Biggest mistake was dropping it on a monday, the week before the grammys. If she dropped it friday and that + the grammys boost, easily top 10. The videos impact will be lessened by friday and the grammys most likely won't provide the boost that it needs for top 10 based on performance boosts from last year.

I think that it's pretty much guaranteed cardi's going #1 this week. Doesn't seem like any competition and DL will get even weaker on radio this tracking week than it did last week

That reminds me of Hootie And The Blowfish's album Fairweather Johnson, which Todd covered on Trainwreckords a while back. That album was released shortly after the end of Cracked Rear View's album cycle, was super rushed and ended up flopping and tanking the band's mainstream career.

Well Darius Rucker is still mainstream to this day. So he ended up ok.
Imagine Dragons will be ok too even though the opening day streaming numbers are lower
