"Amen" was kind of annoying but it was also catchy in a way? Tate McRae still sounds like Billie Eilish-lite on "slower" but considering I like Billie Eilish... I like this too.

"Body" is an absolute jam, it's burned on me a bit but it's still enough to make me vote for it over "John Cooper Clark" which was also pretty cool (great production).

"Closer To My Heart" is a bop but "Trouble's Coming" is even a bigger bop. I don't want to vote against either of these but such is life sometimes.

Kinda hate that Backxwash's most recent album isn't on Spotify anymore, I only listened through it once and really liked it but haven't really had the chance to come back to it cause I...kinda just use Spotify. Might as well go ahead and chart this one though. I'm of the opinion that You Broke Me First is a completely useless pop song and I am wholly unexcited to see the continued success of Tate McRae as a pop artist. This is better than her big hit, but uh, yeah not changing my mind.

Closer to My Heart is a little different from the typical "greatest hit of Roosevelt", but on about the same level of listenability. I didn't care much from Trouble's Coming when it first released, and I hate to say that it's only gotten more annoying over time.

Miranda Lambert - “Mess With My Head” (indulge, #2) (light to decent 7) vs. FACS - “Teenage Hive” (peacebone, #5) (strong 6 to light 7)
Wouldn't expect so much of a rocker from Miranda Lambert, but she pulls it off, this is pretty fire. Could see myself coming back to it. Teenage Hive is another cool first listen with unique production and a strong vibe, but ultimately a little too avant garde for me to want to come back to it much.

I really liked Windswept Eden, didn't really chart anything from it except for Porcelain and haven't come back to it much. But upon re-listening to this track, it's definitely a project I want to revisit. This is really beautiful. Mystery Lady was a surprisingly good first listen too, very slick track and the vocal performances and chemistry are spot on, one I'll definitely come back to.

I swear I didn't like any of the teasers going into this most recent NBT project except for Real Love Song, never even gave the album a listen from how much they disappointed me. Now relistening to this song, maybe it actually does have a bit more going for it than I originally gave it credit for. I think the last minute or so where it turns into like...a RATM song is pretty good, if a bit on the nose, this is probably the heaviest NBT have ever sounded. It's no Amsterdam or Take This Lonely Heart or Trip Switch, but not all that bad. Cool Girl likewise really picked up towards the end. That slow build with the strings is gorgeous, but I do think, after one listen at least, that the rest of the song leading towards that climax does run on the dry side. It's still very pretty though, and I expect it to grow on me if I revisit it.

Uhhh where's my copy-paste thing I say about perfectly listenable country pop songs I won't remember. This is fine. I actually loved No Body No Crime the first time I heard it and charted it pretty well, but it's definitely not one that's maintained that initial level of quality over time. I still like it a good bit though.

I actually like Pilgrimage more than Porcelain. I like how pristine the bells sound. Surprised at how good Mystery Lady is too. Like the guitar in this.

Did not expect Can You Afford To Be An Individual? to sound like this. That third verse is fire. But it faces my own song. I am surprised no dodie songs were used in these games tbh because I think she has a decent online presence. Sucks to see it's losing. Also I never thought dodie sounding like Phoebe Bridgers until just now

I like Caitlyn Smith but I Can't is one of the weaker songs from the album. Old Dominion adds nothing. No Body, No Crime would be even better if it doesn't sound too much like folk version of Before He Cheats, I enjoy the pun used though.
