at TOTC counting percentages here lol (It was bound to rise on Monday, as almost all songs do that) I don't get why chart accounts Twitter is fussing over this album tbh, ChartData posted this nonsense yesterday... The song peaked today and the album is holding extremely well. Itβs smashing, so thatβs what happens when you smash.

^the gap between all 3 songs is even closer than I imagined. Looking at that, I'd say Peaches or Leave the Door Open takes it.
Since Up has already peaked at #1, it'd be nice to see Peaches take it this week and then Leave the Door Open take it the week after that.
It'll generally be nice seeing songs that reach #1 but also spend some time in the top 10, as opposed to the disaster that was last year with all the fraudulent #1's.

A refreshing Top 10 we need some more new hits(established and new) in there!

I need Mood and Blinding Lights to leave the top 10. They've both overstayed their welcome. It's a new year. We need some new hits. It's just unfortunate that with streaming being so down, any song that'll spend any time in the top 10 would need a significant amount of chart points coming from radio.

at TOTC counting percentages here lol (It was bound to rise on Monday, as almost all songs do that) I don't get why chart accounts Twitter is fussing over this album tbh, ChartData posted this nonsense yesterday... TOTC have always done percentages, they used to post a list with biggest increases and biggest decreases.
That account (official by Spotify) posts most streamed albums/songs every week (US/Global) & they post every week top debuts for albums & songs. By debuts they count streams Friday-Sunday.
chartdata posts out of convenience honestly. If it is a smaller artist they don't post, if it is an artist that gets engagement (like Bieber) they post it, same with Dua having the most streamed album last week, they skipped posting when it was Wallen. Same reason why they post 100 minor achievements about BTS every chart week. lol

eh, a #1 battle among three multiple-previous-#1s artists isn't that interesting.
i assume since totc isn't predicting up or door #1 in sales, dynamite is tying the sales weeks record.

It's definitely not always guaranteed that your song will rise on Monday, especially if it's a new song, let alone by 5-10% for each song on an album. I don't even like Bieber's album all that much aside from like four songs, but what he's doing is objectively impressive. The album, and especially Peaches, is obviously resonating with people.

Based on the previous week's Hot 100, we can expect Good Time, Better Together, and Throat Baby to go recurrent this week thanks to Bieber's album bomb.

Do correct me if I'm wrong, but only "Better Together" has been firmly locked on 2021's Year-End, right? Not a fan of the other two, so I wouldn't complain if they don't make it.

Giveon, Daniel Caesar, and Anderson .Paak all stand to get their first #1 this week depending on which song reaches the top, there's some intrigue to mine from that at least.

After seeing Dynamiteβs sales numbers be unexpectedly lower last week, Iβm forecasting only 11k-13k sales this week, and will go recurrent on the 4/3 chart. The battle for sales #1 will be Up and LTDO, unless Justinβs team plays the website sales game to lock in the #1 debut.

I wished Top 40 played more "pop" music, but who are these rappers you are speaking of? Pick any one. Top 40 radio shouldn't only play POP records. If the biggest songs on the charts are rap songs good enough to reach the top 10 on Urban/Rhythmic radio, they should also do well on Pop radio but that isn't the reality.
