I guess Gary now regrets posting that article yesterday. I was debating whether I should, but suspected that there would be an allergic reaction to it, so I decided not to do so.

They have another song together after Come Together? Yeah, she recently announced it on her Instagram story, likely the follow-up to "Damage". Oh, wow. Didn't know that. Can't say I'm surprised. She has also toured with him and the collab is probably his way of returning the favor for her appearing on his last solo album.

I read that some upcoming R&B artists had to collaborate with him out of contractual obligation. If I recall correctly, I think that was the case for both Zendaya and Tinashe. However, H.E.R. seems to genuinely be a fan of his, which is just sad. Besides the aforementioned album track "Come Together", he was also featured on remixes for "Focus" and "Slide".
For those curious, I would recommend checking out his discography page on Wikipedia and check out for your favorite artists within the R&B, hip hop, and trap genres. The majority of them have at least one collaboration with him. Sure, we already knew about his loyal supporters like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga, but you'll be surprised to see names like Brandy, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, Ne-Yo, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Teyana Taylor, Rita Ora, and Jamie Foxx, just to name a few.
It's easier to name mainstream artists within these genres that haven't collaborated with him - it's that bad.

Lost In Musical Reverie I wouldn't focus too much on people collaborating with Chris Brown because if we're speaking of problematic people in music, he's really just one of many. MANY rappers/R&B singers have all done questionable, downright problematic things and are still doing fine career-wise. I've said it before that I generally assume that every celebrity is flawed and problematic in their private lives. That helps me a lot. I don't think people working with him automatically makes them terrible people. You can feel disappointed if you want to, but it's only maybe a big deal to you because you're choosing to look at it that way. Unfortunately, people will keep working with him and that won't change. It's been this way for over a decade now so I really don't get the long-winded debates over people working with him at this point. Feels like beating a dead horse to me. It's what it is with Chris Brown. I've learned to ignore him/his presence on the charts for the most part.

thegreatdivine I see where you're coming from, and I don't mean to incite any disdain towards the artists I mentioned - many of which I absolutely adore and respect. I follow a similar line of thinking as yours when it comes to celebrities, and while I do feel disappointed at those who've collaborated with him, it doesn't hinder my enjoyment of their art. I just wanted to show the extent of his collaborations post-2009 for those who weren't aware of it, and that this consistent support from his peers is one of the main reasons why he's still successful to this day despite his continued history of violence. Yes, we can't do much about it, and with his renewed success he's likely going to be even more in demand than usual. Unfortunately, that's just how the industry works. R. Kelly's marriage with Aaliyah was well-known since August 1994, and the infamous sex tape came out in 2002, yet it didn't stop his peers to keep collaborating and supporting him - even long after his commercial peak. Chris Brown's scandals aren't as egregious, of course, but you get the idea. To make matters worse, as you said, it's been more than a decade since the highly publicized Rihanna incident, and sadly, a whole generation is growing up unaware of his past, with some even being fed misinformation about the incident (Rihanna hit him first being the worst offender, and in the age of fast information, many young people might not be interested in going much further than that).

In summary, just another case of Hollywood willingly supporting and idolizing terrible people, until a something major comes out and everyone pretends they didn't know about it.
Don't even get me started on the plethora of beloved rock stars whose pedophilia (Elvis Presley) and/or domestic abuse (John Lennon) is nonchalantly swept under the rug.
Okay, I'm done here - my apologies for the big rant.

I also agree with this: "I generally assume that every celebrity is flawed and problematic in their private lives." they're human beings, that's the reason I don't stan/fan anyone and yeah I really don't care about any artist's private lives, lifestyle, ideology, religion, etc, I only care if the music/song is good or not to me. But if people want to cancel ALL the R&B/Rap artists that have worked with him, well, good for them, will be a hard job lol, I won't stop listening to Drake, Timbaland, Pharrell, T-Pain, etc.
