"Honky Tonk Crazy" is not only my favorite from the '80s, but you can bet that it's in the running for one of my all-time favorite album tracks from George's entire career. I knew it was too much to ask for this to at least make the top two, but alas it did better than I was expecting as I was holding my breath with each reveal as we made our way into the top 15.

At long last, tim's #1 reveals itself! I was deceased at how you kept thinking it was on borrowed time once we got to like the top 20 Ye of little faith!!! Not only was it a top 20 contender, and a top 10 contender, and a top 5 contender....but it was our very first consistent #1 contender, and also a top 3 contender for the entire submission process!!!! Absolutely nothing came close to overtaking it from behind once it settled into that #3 slot! Unfortunately it also didn't stand a prayer of doing any better once is settled into that #3 slot, as our top 2 waged a major battle for the ages, and ended up besting this one by nearly 50 points Definitely thrilled with this performance for "Honky Tonk Crazy"! George's second album has some of his most iconic work of the '80s imo, and while it would be hard to argue that any of the hits from that album were bad choices, "Honky Tonk Crazy" has always felt like a missed hit opportunity that could have been just as career-defining as all of them.

Just as I've long thought, "Hollywood Squares" was the hit that got away from George during that era. Not sure why they ever went with the subdued "Overnight Success" over something more upbeat as I have no doubt that this would've been a #1 hit for him. My lower ranking for this is only because I've kinda overplayed it over the years haha. "80 Proof Bottle Of Tear Stopper" has long been a fan favorite and one that I believe George sang out on the road for years during that time. It still sounds just as great to the ears today as the first time I heard it and my only regret here is that I likely underranked it and should've included it in my top 10. Then again, a lot of these songs are interchangeable and aside from say my top 5, I doubt that my rankings would ever be the same no matter how many revisions I did lol. Despite the time difference, I'm glad I was at least able to be here for most of the reveals for this including the finale. Thanks again as always bboat11!

Gotta love the lowest two ranks for "80 Proof Bottle" coming right at the end with our last couple lists...... The song was our primary #1 contender, but unfortunately never had a chance to recover once Flops did his thing I have words... Anyway, "80 Proof Bottle" has got to be the catchiest song I have ever heard in my entire life! Sure it's about using alcohol to cope with having a broken heart, but George is having a helluva time in the process! His vocal performance carries a certain energy to it that is a perfect match for the energy level of the song itself. I could literally listen to this like 80 times in a row and never get tired of it. "Hollywood Squares" is another awesome jam from King George! It was one of my standout favorites from the first time I spun the album. The pun of the hook hits juuuuuust right This one is so much fun, and I am really happy to see this win even if it did steal the victory from "80 Proof"!

I also remember Dean Dillon coming out to sing "Honky Tonk Crazy" with George at one of those shows as he co-wrote that.

I have the 2010s album tracks ready to go, so I'll open that one up very soon!!! And I specifically saved it for the end because it's only 20 songs that are much more familiar to the casual fans, so hopefully y'all are JAZZED!!!!

Album Tracks Rankdown #4: 2010s
Hello everyone! We are FINALLY down to our final decade of the George Strait album tracks series!!! We are going to be ranking the top album tracks from George's most recent albums. With fan favorites ranging from "When The Credits Roll" to "Poison" to "It Was Love" to "Some Nights", this may be our stiffest competition yet! And better yet, it's only 20 songs, many of which are much more familiar to casual fans!!! Hopefully we can increase participation a bit from the previous rounds since this will be much less of a time commitment for people Tracklist: (Runtime 1 hr 11 min) 1. Poison 2. A Showman's Life - ft. Faith Hill 3. Shame On Me 4. I'll Always Remember You 5. House Across The Bay 6. That's What Breaking Hearts Do 7. When The Credits Roll 8. Sittin' On The Fence 9. When Love Comes Around Again 10. You Don't Know What You're Missing 11. Take Me To Texas 12. Everything I See 13. It Was Love 14. Rock Paper Scissors 15. Kicked Outta Country 16. Some Nights 17. Honky Tonk Time Machine 18. God And Country Music 19. Blue Water 20. Two More Wishes 21. Old Violin
You've got just about four weeks to join in on this one. I still want to get this wrapped up before the new year, so we will only have the finale to worry about come springtime.

Lol I just remembered "Kicked Outta Country"... I'd definitely categorize that as an "essential" album track from the past decade! Especially after its strong showing in the Extras rd. Guess we're doing 21 songs 😂 tim and castleoblivion26, if you wouldn't mind editing your lists to include that one when you get a chance, I'd appreciate it!

You should just add the Top 5 non-singles from the Extras rankdown: Murder On Music Row (Ft. Alan Jackson) Everything but Quits (Ft. Lee Ann Womack) Kicked Outta Country Jackson (Ft. Martina McBride) - Live Designated Drinker (Ft. Alan Jackson) I think they are a strong group! Regardless I will get "Kicked Outta Country" added later tonight!

It took listening to the entire list before I realized "Wish You Well" didn't make it in this. Had to come up with a new #2...

It took listening to the entire list before I realized "Wish You Well" didn't make it in this. Had to come up with a new #2... Wait really?! Lmao sorry, my bad! 😂 "Wish You Well" and "Something Going Down" were tied for the 5th highest album track in the Cold Beer Conversation rankdown, and I was all set to include "Wish You Well" because I didn't even remember that it was a tie 'cause it was so long ago. But then tim reminded me that it had been a tie, because he would have rather had "Something Going Down" included instead. So to solve the issue, I decide to just eliminate the 5th spot from that album and give an extra spot to Honky Tonk Time Machine instead, since it had less singles released than any of the other albums, so it had a little bigger pool of deserving songs that were potentially going to go unrecognized! Meanwhile, CBC is easily the least deserving album here of receiving an extra song, at least in my opinion, so I definitely didn't want to include both members of the tie. I wouldn't have done so if I thought that even one person would even slightly miss "Wish You Well", but I honestly figured it would be an easy bottom 5 contender for everybody 😂 Not that it's BAD by any means, but just up against such a strong list with a lot of fan favorites!

Oh by the way, for anyone who still needs to do this, I am totally going to give you an extension. I want to focus on finishing 2016 and October New Releases before I shift my attention to this. So you'll have at least one more week to do this! I'll post an official announcement soon :)

Tracklist: (Runtime 1 hr 11 min)1. Poison 2. A Showman's Life - ft. Faith Hill 3. Shame On Me 4. I'll Always Remember You 5. House Across The Bay 6. That's What Breaking Hearts Do 7. This one was very hard to do as there were fewer duds in this album cuts rankdown than any of their prior decades we'd done... probably because we used to have to rank songs that came in 9th place on a 10-track album and now we're just ranking songs that made the top half since his albums got longer and had less singles. 😂
