Oh, here's another terrible retro hit
I came across this song through listening to the 1995 Year-End list last year, and while it wasn't eligible for my worst list due to being a 1994 repeat, rest assured that I will tear this pile of crap a new one if I ever get to that year.

There are kids in the server “WAP” was #1 in the U.S. That ship has sailed a long time ago. It’s okay to have preferences. It isn’t okay to shame people that fall outside of those preferences. It’s also okay to express your sexuality, but your “carnal desires” should be expressed in appropriate areas, preferably without underage people. Rant over. Anyway, some people like to think that 90s alternative in particular is free from bad tracks. I digress. Not really top chart hits, but same concept.

When people talk about the music of the '70s, one artist who was hugely successful at the time but doesn't seem to get a lot of attention nowadays is Ray Stevens, a country singer and comedian best known for some really horrible novelty songs during the first half of the decade. While I could point out lesser-known songs in his catalog like the incredibly tasteless Ahab the Arab or even the godawful song he made in response to Arizona's immigration laws around 2010, the two songs below were honest-to-God #1 hits that I can't believe people were ever interested in, even in the age of easy-listening and whitewashed lameness.
Then we have Peter Cetera, who was truly the Adam Levine of the '80s, except that unlike Adam, he couldn't even be bothered to make interestingly bad music on occasion, with or without post-1970 Chicago. The following two solo songs of his went to #1 in 1986, which is bewildering to me because both of them are dreadful.
And then there's this worthless schlock from 1994, which I consider one of my old enemies. I actually don't mind the artist's first hit "Sadeness (Part 1)" from 1991 because of some interesting production choices, but I've always hated this song for its dull production and lyrics devoid of anything meaningful, to say nothing of the ear-piercing chanting that is ultimately the only thing that stands out as being memorable, and not in a good way. I'm glad New Age isn't really a thing in the mainstream anymore.

Hey, I liked some of those songs already listed when I was growing up (Tootsie Roll, Lisa Lisa, Expose, that 20 Fingers song, etc.) But each his own or her own, I guess. Anyway, here's my list of my least favorite hit songs. It's quite long and I don't expect agreements on every song so don't get mad if you actually like some of these. Everyone has their own tastes.
70s or earlier The Contours - Do You Love Me (I blame the 90s cartoon Tiny Toon Adventures on why I hate this one) Pilot - Magic (Used to be a guilty pleasure but there's a overplayed drug commercial called Opzemtic that is ruining this song for me) Minnie Riperton - Loving You (So corny) KC and the Sunshine Band - Get Down Tonight (I actually like some 70s disco but couldn't stand most of this band's songs) Paul Anka - Having My Baby (After listening to old AT40 episodes from the 70s/80s, this and few others from the 80s Henry Gross - Shannon (So cheesy!) Rick Dees - Disco Duck (Yuck!) Silver Connection - Get Up and Boogie (so repetitive!) Barry Manilow - Mandy (lame!) The Partridge Family - Come On Get Happy (never liked the tv show to begin with) The Brady Bunch - It's a Sunshine Day (however, this didn't actually chart so it doesn't count. Still annoying though even though I liked the tv show as a kid) Leif Garrett - I Was Made For Dancing (everyone was on the disco bandwagon) Donna Summer - MacArthur Park (All of her other hits are so much better than this cheesefest) John Sebastian - Welcome Back Kotter (starting to get tired of this one)
80s Eddie Murphy - Party All The Time - How did Rick James (one of the all-time greats in R&B/soul/funk) made this overproduced, over-distorted synthpop trash??? (it's not even close to R&B/funk/soul!) Also, how did this monstrosity almost got to #1 on the pop charts in 1985 (the year I was born)?! If Only Eddie was joking when he sang this travesty! One of the absolute worst songs I've ever heard! Milli Vanilli - Girl You Know It's True (heck, any Milli Vanilli song would belong here; How were they so red hot in 1989?) Toni Basil - Mickey (only the cheesy music video is memorable) Olivia Newton John - Physical (same reason as "Mickey") Stevie B - I Wanna Be The One (I actually like most of his dance/freestyle tracks back then but couldn't stand this one. Maybe because the station I grew up listening too played it too much!) Don Johnson - Heartbeat (another actor that should stick to that....acting) Diana Ross - I'm Coming Out (all her other hits are much better than this annoying song) Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder - Ebony and Ivory (you'd think with the star power and positive message would make this a good song yet it's not) SOS Band - Take Your Time (Do It Right) (their mid-80s R&B hits, such as "Just Be Good To Me", are so much better than this cheesy post-disco hit from 1980, which was their highest-charting pop single) Starship - We Built This City (just dreadful) Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (another bad Starship song) Phil Collins - Sussudio (probably the worst song he's ever done and I liked most of his other hits either as a solo act or with Genesis) Wham! - Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go (the worst George Michael song ever!) Huey Lewis and the News - Hip To Be Square (lame!) Whitesnake - Here I Go Again (I hate most 80s hair metal/glam rock songs to begin with but this one was overplayed to death) Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me (see above) Quiet Riot - Come On Feel The Noize (Another dreadful 80s glam rock track) Madonna - Like a Virgin (May be one her signature songs but I always hated it. Same goes with "Material Girl". So many better Madonna songs from the 80s than those two) Shalamar - Dancing In the Sheets (their late 70s/early 80s R&B/disco hits are so much better than this one) Deniece Williams - Let's Hear It For the Boy (so cheesy!) E.U. - Da Butt (annoying chorus) J Geils Band - Centerfold (so annoying, especially the "Na Na Na Na Na Na" chorus!) Jermain Stewart - We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off (similar reason I hate "Centerfold" above) Musical Youth - Pass The Dutchie (cringeworthy!) Joan Jett - I Love Rock N Roll (another song that most people like but I hate due to overplay; Also the 3/4 beat skip at the end annoys me) Air Supply - Making Love Out of Nothing At All (annoying chorus; plus I thought the lead singer was a woman) Sergio Mendes - Never Gonna Let You Go (after listening to so many retro AT40 shows, I've gotten tired out from this song) Robert Palmer - Simply Irresistible (So corny!) Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy ("Shrudders") Billy Ocean - Get Outta My Dreams...Get Into My Car (he's made much better songs IMO). Bon Jovi - Living On a Prayer (overplayed to death and I prefer several of their other hits over this one)
90s any Michael Bolton song("How Am I Supposed to Live Without You", "Missing You Now", "When a Man Loves a Woman", etc.) Aqua - Barbie Girl (Probably the worst 90s dance/pop song ever made) Smash Mouth - All-Star (Was already sick of this horrid song when it came out and the Shrek memes certainty don't help!) Blackstreet - No Diggity (This never this show up on worst songs ever but I absolutely HATE this song with that painful "Hey Yo Hey Hey HEY YOOOOOO" chorus! Plus, I like several of their other R&B hits over this one) Meredith Brooks - B!tch (annoying and repetitive chorus) Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On (overplayed to death in 1998; also I hated most of her songs as a kid though can tolerate them except this one) Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life (overplayed pop/rock with an annoying chorus "Do Do Do Do Do"...) Spin Doctors - Two Princes (another overplayed pop/rock 90s tune I'm burned out from) Sinead O'Conner - Nothing Compares 2 U (Boring!) Will Smith - Wild Wild West (Ruined the Stevie Wonder song sampled. Also, "Will2K", which almost ruins the Clash, isn't much better) Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That Thing) (overplayed to death in 1999 and I prefer several other songs from her either solo or with the Fugees over this one) K+Ci & Jojo - All My Life (overplayed ballad from 1998; At least they had some good songs when they were part of Jodeci) Boyz II Men - I'll Make Love To You (I love most of Boyz II Men's hits but NOT this one as it was overplayed to death in 94/95). Billy Ray Cyrus - Achy Breaky Heart (Before Miley Cyrus during her twerking phase, this was the worst thing this guy was ever associated with) Hanson - Mmm Bop (thought they were a girl group at first! Still can't stand this cheesefest) Offspring - Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) (the lead singer's voice is so irritating) Master P - Make Em Say Uhh! (One of the worst rap songs of the 90s) Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5 (novelty yes, but still stupid) Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way (I can tolerate most teen pop from the 90s/00s nowawdays but I still can't stand this song!) Ricky Martin - Livin' La Vida Loca (overplayed to death in 1999; couldn't stand this guy back then) Shanice - I Love Your Smile (so annoying back in 1992) Salt N Pepa - None of Your Business (I like most of their songs. Just not this one) Alanis Morrisette - Ironic (Couldn't stand this one back then. At least "You'll Learn" is a good song from her) Spice Girls - Wannabe (They had some good songs like "Say You'll Be There" but I could not withstand this particular song) C+C Music Factory - Things that Make You Go Hmmmm (I liked most of their other hits when I was younger but I always hated this one).
00s Soulja Boy - Crank Dat (One of the dumbest rap songs ever) D4L - Laffy Taffy (another dumb rap song) Crazy Frog - Axel F (horrid remake of the Harold Faltermeyer 1985 classic) Usher feat. Lil Jon - Yeah (I like some of Usher's hits but I HATED this overplayed trash from 2004 and still can't stand it. YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!... ENOUGH!!) Black Eye Peas - My Humps (lot of their post-2003 songs are garbage but this was their absolute worst) Black Eye Peas - I Gotta Feeling (another horribly overplayed song from this group) Kayne West & Jamie Foxx - Gold Digger (so annoying and overplayed in 2005) Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl (her voice was so off-putting; at least she made more tolerable songs down the line like "Hot and Cold" or "Teenage Dream".) Daniel Potwer - Bad Day (annoying, depressing, and repetitive chorus) Baha Men - Who Let the Dogs Out (Good Grief!) J-Kwon - Tipsy (yet another dumb rap song from the 2000s) Ja Rule - Put It On Me (in fact, most of Ja Rule's songs from that era should be listed here as I couldn't stand this guy back then) Miley Cyrus - Party In the USA (annoying and overplayed in the late 2000s) Lil Kim feat. 50 Cent - Magic Stick (annoying chorus) Jay-Z & Rihanna - Run This Town (Rihanna's nasal, monotone vocals in the chorus ruins this song) Jennifer Lopez - Get Right (how to use a great song ""Soul Power 74" by Maceo and the Macks" and ruin it by turning it into complete noise). Nelly feat. Tim McGraw - Over and Over Again - And I thought "Hot in Herre" and "Dilemma" were bad. Also, country and rap don't mix very well.
10s (I already have low expectations for that decade's pop music so I won't be long) Rebecca Black - Friday (one of the worst singers ever!) LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem (repetitive, annoying chorus. Plus, that noisy, over-distorted Eurodance-esqe acid/synth hook throughout the song is so irritating!) Nicki Minaj - Starships (see LMFAO above; and those Autotune chorus vocals...Geez!) Flo Rida - Good Feeling (again, see LMAFO above; also, this song almost ruined the Etta James song that was sampled) Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull - I Like It (once again, see LMFAO above) Usher - DJ's Got Us Falling In Love Again (do I have to repeat myself again regarding overproduced 10s electro/dance-pop?; also I prefer most of his other hits except "Yeah!!!!" over this one). PSY - Gangnam Style (dumb!) Justin Beiber - Baby (Is there any wonder why many people hated or loved to hate him when this came out) Kate Perry - Roar (overplayed to death when it came out!)
Flame away!

My earlier post was long enough but wait there's more! I'm not done yet! I can't believe that I still left these out! Again, you don't have to agree with me on these.
70s or earlier Kiss - I Was Made For Loving You (Glam Rock and Disco don't mix) The Four Seasons - Sherry Baby (can't stand the singers high pitch whiny voices) The Rascals - Good Lovin' (A rare 1960s song that I hate due to overplay in movie trailers and commercials) Donny Osmond - Puppy Love (too sickening sweet)
80s any Milli Vanilli song (well, just because since I already mentioned "Girl You Know it's True" earlier) Cyndi Lauper - She Bop (the worst of her 80s hits) Martika - Toy Soldiers (So depressing and the chorus gets stuck in my head) Styx - Mr. Roboto (so cheesy!) B-52s - Love Shack (I like "Roam" but absolute detest this song a lot!) Bros - When I will Be Famous (not a US hit but charted in Europe. Still, I hate this song) Paul Lekakis - Boom Boom (Let's Go Back To My Room) (Ugh! So annoying!) New Kids On the Block - Hangin' Tough (heck, I would put any NKOTB song here if I could) Michael Jackson & Paul McCartney - The Girl Is Mine (The only dud in an almost-flawless album. Also, I prefer their other duet "Say, Say, Say" over this one.) Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You (One of the most corniest songs he ever did) Huey Lewis & the News - Stuck With You (another bad song from an otherwise good 80s group) Patti Labelle - New Attitude (too over-the-top cheese and she's done better) Lionel Richie - Dancing On the Ceiling (ugh!) David Bowie & Mick Jagger - Dancing In the Streets (the Motown original is far superior and both men have done better) Phil Collins - A Groovy Kind Of Love (So boring and Phil sings like an emotionless robot here) Bow Bow - I Want Candy (I hear this song too many times in commercials or family flicks!) Starship - Sara (more badness from the band the devolved from Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship) Sheriff - When I'm With You (more soft rock madness) Samantha Fox - Touch Me (I Want to Feel Your Body) (I liked some of her other hits but absolute dread this one) George Michael - I Want Your Sex (My 2nd least favorite George Michael song after "Wake Me Up Before You GoGo") Natalie Cole - Missing You Like Crazy (another over-the-top AC ballad that gets stuck in my head!) Bette Midler - Wind Beneath My Wings (see above) Limahl - Never Ending Story (forgettable 80s synthpop whose single version starts with a fade-in. What radio single starts out with a fade-in?????)
90s Warrant - Cherry Pie (another hair metal song I hate) All 4 One - I Swear (Couldn't stand this song back in 1994) Perfect Gentlemen - Oh La La (Minor 1990 hit from these New Edition wannabees that I heard on AT40 w/Shadoe Stevens show just recently. Sounds truly dreadful) Cher - Believe (the grandmother of Autotune) MC Hammer - Have You Seen Her (His other hits are guilty pleasures to me but this ballad-like track is so bad and ruins the Chi-Lites classic) Taylor Dayne - Love Will Lead You Back - I always hated this song every time it came on AC radio) Tevin Campbell - Tell Me What You Want Me To Do (another over-the-top ballad I couldn't stand as a child) Mase - Feels So Good (used to like this song when I was younger but find it annoying nowadays) Notorious BIG/Puff Daddy/Mase - Mo Money Mo Problems (Again, I liked it when I was younger but can't stand it most of the time now; also it feels more of a Puff Daddy or Mase song than a Notorious BIG song) Jimmy Ray - Are You Jimmy Ray (talk about narcissism) Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply (annoying and overplayed in 1998) Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life (over-the-top attempt at Latin dance-pop and their 2nd worst song after "Wannabee") LFO - Summer Girls (more lame boy band garbage) Madonna - Ray of Light (another popular song most people like yet I hate it and is one of my least favorites from her) Ginuwine - So Anxious (always hated this one due to its annoying chorus though I do like some of his other hits) Blink 182 - All The Small Things (pop punk at its worst) Vanilla Ice - Play That Funky Music (any wonder why he's a one-hit wonder; his other singles from 1990/91 are just as bad)
00s TATU - All The Things She Said (The only thing good about this song is the music video) Green Day - American Idiot (I never liked this overplayed, overrated song) Ruben Studdard - Sorry 2004 (Instantly got dated once the calendar hit 2005) LFO - Girl On TV (more lame boy band garbage) Faith Hill - the Way You Love Me (the autotune chorus lyrics sound like sheep to me) Jennifer Lopez & Ja Rule - I'm Real (terrible just like most Ja Rule songs of that era) Jennifer Lopez & Ja Rule - Ain't It Funny (another bad song from this duo and it nearly ruins "Flava In Your Ear" by Craig Mack) QB Finest - Oochie Wally (probably the worst song Nas was associated with) Mariah Carey - Loverboy (No wonder many people put down "Glitter") 50 Cent feat. Nate Dogg - 21 Questions (boring beat!) Mario - Just A Friend 2002 (so bland) Bowling For Soup - 1985 (too novelty-ish) Avril Lavigne - Sk8er Boy (another song I hated back then) Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend (never liked the music video and the song itself isn't much better) Nelly feat. Kelly Rowland - Dilemma (super corny and overplayed in 2002!) Nelly/P Diddy/Murphy Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather (another weak Nelly song) Chingy - Right Thurr (another lame early 2000s rap hit and his other hit "Holidae In" isn't that much better) Jewel - Intuition (She tried pure pop her and it didn't work) Ciara feat. Petey deleted - Goodies (hated this song with its boring repetitive beat/melody) Eamon - F it I Don't Want You Back (whiny vocals and using the F-Bomb as part of your song title, so edgy /sarc) Chris Brown - Run It (why did so many rap/R&B hits from the mid 2000s had so much boring beats?!) Mike Jones - Back Then (this guy says his name too much throughout the song!) MIMS - This Is Why I'm Hot (This is why it's NOT!) DJ Casper - Cha Cha Slide Part 2 (I used to like this song when it was a local hit on 107.5 WGCI in Chicago during 2000. Then it became a national hit that gets overplayed in weddings or sporting events in 2003 and now I can't stand it! "EVERYBODY CLAP YOUR HANDS!!" Please no more!) Justin Timberlake - I'm Loving It (Although this wasn't a chart hit, will McDonalds please retire this song as your jingle?!) Ricky Martin - She Bangs! (even worse than "Livin' La Vida Loca!") Black Eye Peas - Boom Boom Pow (another bad BEP song and Fergie's verse in the middle makes it worse) Kelly Osborne - Papa Don't Preach (she cashed in the "Osbornes" fame and butchered Madonna's 1986 hit)
10s Willow Smith - Whip My Hair (Repetitive and likely benefactor of nepotism) Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX - Fancy (more like nasty!)

Someday in the future "WAP" will be on one of these lists.
People will be like "WTF made that a #1 hit song?"

I agree with the following Hey, I liked some of those songs already listed when I was growing up (Tootsie Roll, Lisa Lisa, Expose, that 20 Fingers song, etc.) But each his own or her own, I guess. Anyway, here's my list of my least favorite hit songs. It's quite long and I don't expect agreements on every song so don't get mad if you actually like some of these. Everyone has their own tastes. 80sDiana Ross - I'm Coming Out (all her other hits are much better than this annoying song) Agreed. Never cared for it and that commercial completely ruined this song forever. Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder - Ebony and Ivory (you'd think with the star power and positive message would make this a good song yet it's not) A song supposedly about living in harmony, and yet it's the most staccato thing ever recorded. Starship - We Built This City (just dreadful) Deffo not their best. Musical Youth - Pass The Dutchie (cringeworthy!) I don't HATE it, but at the same time not gonna specifically search for it either. Just meh. 90sany Michael Bolton song("How Am I Supposed to Live Without You", "Missing You Now", "When a Man Loves a Woman", etc.) Good Michael Bolton songs are few and far between. His rendition of "To Love Somebody" is not bad and I like "Go the Distance" but that's about it. Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life (overplayed pop/rock with an annoying chorus "Do Do Do Do Do"...) Never found the appeal of this song. And the fact it got so overplayed made it worse. Funny you mentioned Two Princes right below this one, I found SCL to be a bad ripoff of 2P. Will Smith - Wild Wild West (Ruined the Stevie Wonder song sampled. Also, "Will2K", which almost ruins the Clash, isn't much better) Pretty much any Will Smith song is garbage. ESPECIALLY Miami. Billy Ray Cyrus - Achy Breaky Heart (Before Miley Cyrus during her twerking phase, this was the worst thing this guy was ever associated with) Agreed. Master P - Make Em Say Uhh! (One of the worst rap songs of the 90s) This was just stupid. Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way (I can tolerate most teen pop from the 90s/00s nowawdays but I still can't stand this song!) OK at first I found this to be not bad, but the song got SO FRICKIN OVERPLAYED AND TO THIS DAY IT STILL IS. If I never hear this song again, it will be too soon. Ricky Martin - Livin' La Vida Loca (overplayed to death in 1999; couldn't stand this guy back then) Got grossly overplayed, but I can tolerate it again at least. 00sSoulja Boy - Crank Dat (One of the dumbest rap songs ever) D4L - Laffy Taffy (another dumb rap song) Agreed with both. Usher feat. Lil Jon - Yeah (I like some of Usher's hits but I HATED this overplayed trash from 2004 and still can't stand it. YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!... ENOUGH!!) Black Eye Peas - My Humps (lot of their post-2003 songs are garbage but this was their absolute worst) Black Eye Peas - I Gotta Feeling (another horribly overplayed song from this group) Kayne West & Jamie Foxx - Gold Digger (so annoying and overplayed in 2005) Hate all of these. I Gotta Feeling is in a worse position for me than I Want it That Way. Daniel Potwer - Bad Day (annoying, depressing, and repetitive chorus) I like this at first, even went to #1 on my chart, but due to gross overplay, I don't ever wanna hear it again. Baha Men - Who Let the Dogs Out (Good Grief!) J-Kwon - Tipsy (yet another dumb rap song from the 2000s) Ja Rule - Put It On Me (in fact, most of Ja Rule's songs from that era should be listed here as I couldn't stand this guy back then) Hate all or these. Agreed anything Ja Rule puts his hands on turns to garbage. Lil Kim feat. 50 Cent - Magic Stick (annoying chorus) Absolute trash Jennifer Lopez - Get Right (how to use a great song ""Soul Power 74" by Maceo and the Macks" and ruin it by turning it into complete noise). This song was pretty much a New Year's Eve event gone completely wrong. 10s (I already have low expectations for that decade's pop music so I won't be long)Rebecca Black - Friday (one of the worst singers ever!) Agreed LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem (repetitive, annoying chorus. Plus, that noisy, over-distorted Eurodance-esqe acid/synth hook throughout the song is so irritating!) Just annoying all around. Nepotism at its finest. PSY - Gangnam Style (dumb!) Need I say more? The rest either disagreed, don't remember or don't have enough of an opinion to include it.

Part d'eux My earlier post was long enough but wait there's more! I'm not done yet! I can't believe that I still left these out! Again, you don't have to agree with me on these. 80sany Milli Vanilli song (well, just because since I already mentioned "Girl You Know it's True" earlier) Blame it on the Rain is fine, but I can dismiss the rest. Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You (One of the most corniest songs he ever did) This is probably one of the more tolerable SW songs for me, but that isn't saying much since I find him one of the most overrated singers of all time. Lionel Richie - Dancing On the Ceiling (ugh!) This one is more cheese than anything. David Bowie & Mick Jagger - Dancing In the Streets (the Motown original is far superior and both men have done better) AKA Mick Jagger's mid-life crisis. Bow Bow - I Want Candy (I hear this song too many times in commercials or family flicks!) The Aaron Carter version is worse. 90sWarrant - Cherry Pie (another hair metal song I hate) Don't HATE it but I'm not gonna search for it either. Mase - Feels So Good (used to like this song when I was younger but find it annoying nowadays) The first time I heard this song I seriously thought he was making fun of disabled people. This is just terrible. Notorious BIG/Puff Daddy/Mase - Mo Money Mo Problems (Again, I liked it when I was younger but can't stand it most of the time now; also it feels more of a Puff Daddy or Mase song than a Notorious BIG song) Got way overplayed back in the day. Can take it in small doses now minus the Mase verse. Jimmy Ray - Are You Jimmy Ray (talk about narcissism) Terrible. Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply (annoying and overplayed in 1998) This one just got overplayed to death. I can tolerate it now. Ginuwine - So Anxious (always hated this one due to its annoying chorus though I do like some of his other hits) This was one of his more tolerable ones but I HATE Pony. 00sGreen Day - American Idiot (I never liked this overplayed, overrated song) Ruben Studdard - Sorry 2004 (Instantly got dated once the calendar hit 2005) Agreed. Jennifer Lopez & Ja Rule - I'm Real (terrible just like most Ja Rule songs of that era) Jennifer Lopez & Ja Rule - Ain't It Funny (another bad song from this duo and it nearly ruins "Flava In Your Ear" by Craig Mack) See my previous comment on Ja Rule. He ruined both of these songs. Mariah Carey - Loverboy (No wonder many people put down "Glitter") This was just a disaster all over. 50 Cent feat. Nate Dogg - 21 Questions (boring beat!) Awful Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend (never liked the music video and the song itself isn't much better) This one has definitely not aged well. Nelly/P Diddy/Murphy Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather (another weak Nelly song) One of his worst Chingy - Right Thurr (another lame early 2000s rap hit and his other hit "Holidae In" isn't that much better) One of the worst "rappers" of the decade. Ciara feat. Petey deleted - Goodies (hated this song with its boring repetitive beat/melody) One of the most bland singers of the 2000s. Seriously, find another note! Eamon - F it I Don't Want You Back (whiny vocals and using the F-Bomb as part of your song title, so edgy /sarc) Oh my God, easily one of the worst "songs" of the 2000s. This essentially is a pubescent throwing a tantrum. And you can also throw in the Frankee version as well. MIMS - This Is Why I'm Hot (This is why it's NOT!) Agreed Black Eye Peas - Boom Boom Pow (another bad BEP song and Fergie's verse in the middle makes it worse) Topped my worst of 2009 list. Essentially will.i.am recorded himself going to the bathroom and made it a single. Kelly Osborne - Papa Don't Preach (she cashed in the "Osbornes" fame and butchered Madonna's 1986 hit) She got better over time, but this was just awful. 10sWillow Smith - Whip My Hair (Repetitive and likely benefactor of nepotism) One of the most annoying songs of the early decade for sure. Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX - Fancy (more like nasty!) There is nothing redeeming about Iggy Azalea. The rest either disagreed, don't remember enough about them, or don't have enough of an opinion to include them.

I can't believe what some here are calling worst hit songs. "Head To Toe, Come Go With Me, We Are The World, Right Here Waiting, I Just Called To Say I Love You" and the list goes on. My heart breaks.....

My heart breaks..... I mean you can like the songs, no shame. I for one think all the songs you mentioned range from annoying to godawful but if you disagree, that's fine.

Barbie Girl was the worst hit of the late 90’s.

Really, these are solid decades of music horribly represented by their YEs. Those were my thoughts then, and I still carry them now.
Tough to name any specific examples. But really, One More Try being a #1 really just cements how low this period was.
Then there’s that damn Baby I Love Your Way and Free Bird mash-up that still gets damn airplay to this day.
Screw it I might as well a good chunk of adult hits for this.
