Mr. Perfectly Fine is kind of holding up better than I thought it would, it's also in the top 20 on Apple Music. Too bad Taylor's team is acting like they suddenly don't care about charts at all. Her only song on Today's Top Hits is still You All Over Me 😞

Can we expect Whoopty to go recurrent next week? Body’s already going recurrent next week. I imagine so. It's at #48 on the 04/17/2021 chart, and "RAPSTAR" and "Kiss Me More" alone should push it to recurrency. Add the "Fearless" album bomb and any potential re-entry from DMX, and it seems pretty much guaranteed at this point. All this might also be enough for Put Your Records On to make its exit as well, depending on how its radio losses go this week.

Doesn't she have like 5 other albums to re-release, along with new music she's probably working on? If she goes all out on marketing and promotion with EVERYTHING she drops, she'll just burnout faster than she already does.

Anyone that has songs that sound like Kiss Me More? It sounds really good, and I am addicted, but I don't want to support Dr. Luke anymore. "Kiss Me More" seems to sample Olivia Newton-John's 1981 hit "Physical". I'm not a fan of the song, but you might get a similar vibe to it. If you're a fan of the fusion of bubblegum pop and rap, you can't go wrong with Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass". As for the sensual R&B production with soft and playful vocals, I found "Kiss Me More" very reminiscent of something Janet Jackson would do. I'd recommend the singles from her 2001 "All For You" era - the title track, "Someone To Call Me Lover", and "Doesn't Really Matter". Hope you make some nice discoveries! 😉

lmao @ lil nas tryna fake this for streams. Ppl don't understand this man is a master troll and will do anything and everything for that #1. He can clearly see he's close to a 2nd week and is tryna gather those few extra million streams. Only thing is he doesn't realize that it's a sizeable difference and won't make a difference this 'troll' thing reminds me of katy perry's personality in her old videos,interviews....but look how katy's career fall.. Um what? I don’t get the comparison at all and Katy has the most #1s this century of anyone except Rihanna

If she goes all out on marketing and promotion with EVERYTHING she drops, she'll just burnout faster than she already does. It's not like she has to promote literally everything from these re-recordings but this song is a much better single material than YAOM and the general public reacted really positively to it, so why not replace it? Also it seems like 1989 will be the next album she's re-releasing, so sending MPF to the country radio and then giving the pop song from 1989 TV a chance on pop radio at the same time is doable. But yeah, my previous post sounded like I wanted her to push a few songs simultaneously when in fact all I had in mind was an option of focusing on MPF instead of You All Over Me. I didn't specify it enough

To Doja’s credit, she comes close to nailing that vibe, but Janet is just on another level as a performer.

I love Levitating's longevity. It's a pop masterpiece so it deserves it.

I find that “Kiss Me More” blends a lot of different things together. I get “Say So” vibes from it (which is a Janet influence), but also there’s the “Physical” sample. I also get some mid-2000s Gwen vibes from it. All of these elements put in a blender and the result is one hella catchy tune.

I need Post Malone to drop a single. It would be the easiest number one of his career I want him to finally get the #1 single of the year, he's been in the Top 10 every year since 2017 and finished at #2 in 2019 and 2020

Well, rumour has it he'll be releasing his upcoming album later this year, so sit down and seethe while he effortlessly dominates the charts. Imagine how sad one must be to insult others on baseless rumours. 'Post Malone is stinky and doesn't shower' jokes are so tired and pathetic. Do better.

I need Post Malone to drop a single. It would be the easiest number one of his career Maybe so, but who knows, it could also play out like Bruno/Anderson’s comeback and it would have to take some smart marketing to squeeze a week in there since the #1s in 2021 so far are a whole different story in terms of strength compared to #1s in 2020. Circles also had to lay low for a few weeks into its run before it could hit the top spot, but we’ll see when his single finally drops.

I know a lot of people here don't care about country but I gotta say I'm really mad that Starting Over is already getting pulled from radio! I know it's gonna hit the year end anyway and it's had a great run but still shlock like Just The Way and The Good Ones cruise above 50M no problem and Chris Stapleton on a song with organic success & groundswell has to fight & claw his way up the charts and then have his traction yanked at 49M for no good reason! I was kinda cheering for Starting Over to become a sleeper top 10 hit, it might have happened if it got the radio crossover treatment.
Also sucks that technically his highest peak came from goddamn Man Of The Woods.

It's clearly a hit or semi-hit with that stability and 0 playlisting, radio or video tho. She's probably gonna drop an album every 2-3 months so it's a good idea for her to maybe have a single for each one so the re-recordings actually show some value to the public besides old songs. If anything, these re-recordings dropping like entire albums could also act like a burnout, although it's hard to tell. But either way, adding playlisting can't do any harm. It'll bolster the sales of the song and help the album gain traction.

Montero is already back to #1 on itunes and several other versions of the song have jumped back into the top 100. Apple music is glitching with it showing 2 versions of the song, but you can prolly assume it's gotten some gains as a result. Guess he's gonna be disappointed when his weird tactic still wont help his song go #1, rapstar is still going strong and is basically locked for #1. Don't see it going #1 again (unless he drops a remix which knowing him is inevitable) b/c it will prolly be between rapstar, LTDO or peaches.

I don't think I've given my thoughts on Arcade yet but I like it. I prefer the duet version with FLETCHER; just think it adds more dynamics but the original is alright. A bit generic but that hook is very catchy, I absolutely see why this won Eurovision and why it's one of the biggest songs to come from that contest.

With Mood dropping fast on airplay and Hot 100, it's looking good for Drivers License YE #1 spot, especially with the album coming soon.

Olivia Rodrigo has arguably been the biggest and most unexpected success story of the year, and "drivers license" immediately blowing up upon release represents the biggest pattern for 2021's 'surprise' hits ("Good Days", "Calling My Phone", "RAPSTAR"). Add that to "deja vu" 's current success and her debut album coming soon, and it will be only fitting if she manages to achieve this. Also, she'll be the first female artist since Ke$ha to top the Year-End with her debut single (and first female artist overall since Kimbra in 2012), which would also be really great.
