Groovy "Wait" did get a remix with A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, but the music video features the solo version, and that's the one which got credited by Billboard throughout the song's run (unlike "Don't Wanna Know"), so it doesn't count. I was hesitating to put "Beautiful Mistakes" on the list, since I imagine it's bound to become a top 10 hit eventually, but if you want to expand the list to top 25 hits, I'll give you "This Summer" (and Lord knows that one is anything but generic and safe in structure/sound). 5 vs. 10 So still 1/3 of their hits, I would still consider a fair chunk but that’s just me.

So still 1/3 of their hits, I would still consider a fair chunk but that’s just me. Still doesn't support your argument that all their post-"Overexposed" songs sound the same, and have the same rap feature structure (which, as many users pointed out, is just the standard structure for many pop songs). And even then, "Cold", "Girls Like You", and "Beautiful Mistakes" all sound very distinct from each other production-wise. It's just a poor critique of an artist you don't like.

But I never said they sounded the same, I said their songs with rappers are the same with the same structures but I never said they all said the sound the same production wise. That’s literally... nearly every song with a featured rapper? I mean you’re not wrong but that’s not what I’m arguing. I still don’t get it. They’re using a similar structure that has been used in pop f/rapper for over 20 years now.

May 2, 202001 01 Blinding Lights - The Weeknd (4th and final week at #1) Hard to believe that Blinding Lights never made it back to #1 after this. Say what you want about radio, but it was the only metric that truly showed how dominant the song was in 2020. Without radio, I'm not so sure BL would have even went to #1 on the Hot 100.

^ Yup, it spent 2 weeks at #1 on RS chart (album week 1 & 2).
To the user above if you want to see how charts would have looked like without radio just go to the Rolling Stone chart.

And that is the most bizarre thing. Practically anyone else (from Justin Timberlake to Beyoncé, from Gwen Stefani to Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus) can't get even 20% of the CHR airplay M5 still get. There must be more than just "good songs". remember when maroon 5 copied katy's 'birthday' with their song 'sugar' (the concept of the music videos and the sound of the songs were the same) ..but katy flopped and maroon 5 scored a smash hit..poor Katy but people had taste

The race for #1 is well within the margin of error. If Rapstar's streams are overestimated and the actual number ends up being less than 39M, then LTDO will pull this off.

If people are so tired of BL on Billboard, imagine how terrifying it would be for them on the RS charts, as they have no recurrent rules. I’m thinking it’ll finally fall off by 2028-2030.

AURORA DEBUT, U CAN DO IT Who knows if recurrent rules will apply, Billboard let “Money Trees” chart on Bubbling Under I have no idea how to gauge Billboard's recurrency rules anymore. As you said, they let "Money Trees" on Bubbling Under, but also "Magic in the Hamptons" and "Truth Hurts"... but then: - they prevented "Martin & Gina" from re-entering despite it not being in recurrent status - "Big Gangsta" was seemingly not accepted into Bubbling Under but somehow was let onto the bottom 20 on the Hot 100 just last week (maybe because of the single re-release???) - and now, no one knows if "Runaway" will be let on or not. It has had new versions/remixes in 2021 but the song itself was not re-released in any way.
I am convinced just make their decisions through a coin toss at this point.
