It bothers me so much that Barbara Ann made the list, but Wouldn’t it Be Nice was the #101 song. Completely agree. Wouldn't It Be Nice would have made my top 10. Easy...

Wouldn't It Be Nice could easily make top 5 on the rankdown. It also seems like the record label almost forced them to do this to "give something out" and then made them sell "Barbra Ann" as a single. It might be ok as a fun, non serious recess album by The Beach Boys, but it being put up against well-made songs.... yeah

#55-#41 will probably be revealed on Thursday instead of tomorrow too. I need to do extra work so I can start revealing songs more quickly. I want to finish the rankdown probably in the middle of next week. Plus, I'm about to start working more hours, so there's also that.

Aw man Hungry already out? I figured most of the garage rock songs would do way better than this.

kinda falling behind so for the next reveals I'll just stick my would be rank and maybe a few words if the song did something Xtra to impress me. Also not a fan of m losing two of my favorites. 76. Lou Rawls - "Love Is A Hurtin' Thing"DOC=88 75 .Sam the Sham and The Pharoahs - "Lil' Red Riding Hood" A #68 for me. I really dug how they incorporated the Little Red Riding Hood theme into the lyrics. Music is so so, but it is the lyrics that makes it stand out more. They always make her as some innocent weak little girl. I like horror movies were she turns the tables and eats up the stalker instead. J ohnny Depp also played a Riding Hood stalker wolf in 'Into The Woods. I was recalling that scene as the song was playing. 74. Bobby Darin - "If I Were A Carpenter"Doc= #84. 73. The Sandpipers - "Guantanamera"I gave this a #87. I epecially hate it if I'm on a date ,and those Trios guys start playing this while I'm trying to enjoy my dinner. 72. Robert Parker - "Barefootin"Doc= #63 "foot fetish" eh depends on the girl's feet. 71. The Lovin' Spoonful - "Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind?"DOC =#64 Imagine that one after the other. Vocals were alright. Sounds like something you might hear at a carnival. 70. Dionne Warwick - "Message to Michael" DOC =#86 69. The Beach Boys - "Barbara Ann"This is a certified funbomb. One of the songs on this list that still gets airplay. Funny how some of those lower Year ending songs end up getting more recurrent playback tan some of the top 40 songs. I actually gave this a top 40 anchor slot. It gets stuck in your had even after your done with it. That is worth some upgrade action. 68. The Shadows of Knight - "Gloria"RU kidding me? A #68 for this? This is 1960's Garage Rock at its best. It sounds ,kinda like sounds Doors song if you ask me. The vocal delivery sounds very Morrison. Gloria's anthem. Great lyrics about a girl. Obviously my favorite type. Anyway this would have been one of those songs that needed a much saving rank from me. A #7 on my list. I should have submitted that, and caused a higher ranking, because ..damn what a loss. 67. The Marvelettes - "Don't Mess With Bill"good slot v.s. my #69. I like to think of this one being about Bill from Kill Bill.66. Ray Charles - "Crying Time" One of my would be bottom 10's. Also what I did when I saw what all did to my #10 song. 65. The Mindbenders - "A Groovy Kind of Love"Pretty low for a classic song. Melody just flows nicely through the ears. A #37. for me. I also like how they srated incorporating mini guitar solos in some these songs. Blink and you will miss it. 64. James and Bobby Purify - "I'm Your Puppet"One slot shy of Top 40 for me . This one is considered an "oldie" among some of the raza. I like it. I don't like the thought of submitting to anyone, as the lyrics suggest, but why bother with lyrics too much when dealing with a soul classic. 63. Johnny Rivers - "Poor Side of Town"DOC= #83. 62. Paul Revere and the Raiders - "Hungry" So now this group is gonna screw with Paul Revere and The Raiders? This is exatly the type of jam that I would be all over on had I been a teen in the 60's. Easily anchors my top 10.I love this Psychedelic rock vibe so much. The attitude, the lyrics and just listen to those cranking guitars. If this kind of rock scares you off how were you ever gonna handle what followed from The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppen and Aerosmith? second top 10 loss in one night. What a tragedy. 61. Bob Dylan - "Rainy Day Women #12 and #35"DOC= #82. the music Sounds like something from a Little Rascals show. Cool "getting stones" lyrics, but that music. Sounds like an out of tune parade, and Bob's vocals sound especially bad here. I know he was stoned, but still. 60. Lou Christie - "Lightning Strikes" Most memorable part of this song is that chorus. Love the vocals in that. The rest was alright. Just outside my Top 40 at #46. . hey are there gonna be any more extras?

Looks like I'm back! Well, time for more reveals. I know it's been 10 years since I last revealed, but let's get this train back on its tracks, shall we. #59 has a lowish standard Deviation. Only 6 of us put it top 50. However, only 2 people rated it in the bottom 20%. There were no top 10 or bottom 10 rankings. Hint:

I wish I could've enjoyed this more. They seem like a good band, but there was only one song from them on this Year End I loved. Still not bad, I do tend to enjoy that backwoods guitar style, it reminds me of something Roger Miller would do [He was also the one who did the Robin Hood whistle song, this song reminds me of that one]. This year end was tough.

Solid garage rock, but maybe I get someone finding this guys vocal style a bit grating, but it seems to give a hint of what punk would later give us. (Yeah, maybe harmonicas aren't what everyone thinks of when thinking of punk)
Also neat to see songs that didn't even enter the top 10 make the top 50 on the year end, while songs that were like #2 were even lower than this one. Probably from chart longevity.

#57 is up next. - 7 lose a top 50, of which one is both a top 20 and top 10 - 3 lose a bottom 20, of which one is a bottom 10, which is also a bottom 5. This song was in a film that came out several years ago. Hint: Note that this is a commercial compilation: the commercial I'm using for this hint is at 2:00, it's for Macleans (the skiing one - cold temperatures)

This one just felt super cool and chill. Dark lounge atmosphere that almost reminds me of some 90s to early 2000s alternative.

Hey everyone. I'm back again. This time, I want to make sure to at least reveal more than 3 songs. I ended up getting busy yesterday on something else, sorry about that. I want to start having a set time that I start, but it's tough because my sleep schedule is really off. But typically it will be in the afternoon, since nights are when I work (except Sunday and Wednesday, which I do have off) Anyway, #56 will have only 7 top 50 rankings, but one is a Top 10. That's the only top 20 also. Only 3 ranked it bottom 20, yet 2 of these were bottom 10. Hint: Don't be a fool and stop in the middle of the road for 2 cute girls!

Will "Kicks" make the top 50 after the drop of their other two songs? Who knows. DJDaveMick69 loses yet another top 10 and Fire can rejoice over losing their last bottom 10.
This one had strong similarities to early Kinks stuff. This was good, but its hard to compete with the Kinks. The bridge has a good guitar tone/ crunch and I liked the solo.

#55 has a high standard Deviation. One of us will receive a punishment of a top 5 loss here. Others get off easier, as 3 others just lose a top 20. Only 1 among us ranked it bottom 20 - and it wasn't a bottom 10 rank. For those who may want to give an educated guess ahead of time, here is a video.

Wow, I can't believe Paint It Black is already out.
Kidding, it's the one right after it on the Year End!

considering her song Downtown is one of my favs of all time I might have been overly nice to this. Plus dang more garage rock is leaving sooner than I thought!

Time to Rant cause I just don't understand how this classic misses the top 50. #56. Paul Revere and the Raiders - "Just Like Me"talk about a swift kick to the groin or in this case "Kicks". My #2 song out the door like yesterday's paper. It is said that these guys actually made the guitar solos last longer during live performances. I would have killed to see that. They did a fantastic brining on the early Psychedelic garge rock sounds onto the charts. catchy infectious giutar hooks laced with Mark Lindsay's strong gruffy like vocals hit those rock tones everytime. Oh why bother. It's just like trying to convive you the 'The Warriors' is the greatest movie of all time. Wonder if my would be #2 rank would have gotten it into the top 50?

Hey everyone. Im sorry I didn't get more done last week. But to make it up to yall, today I'm planning to get all the way to #31! Yep. Over 20 reveals. I don't have anything planned for today, so this should work. I'm hoping I can get this done, but I can't say for sure. I plan to start reveals at 11 AM- 1 PM. Part 2 of reveals will be starting at 5 PM, ending around 8. If I have even more, the third part will be around 11 PM.

Actually, I'm gonna start here with 54-51. I'd like to have 50-41 starting at 11, and 40-31 this evening!
30-21 will be done tomorrow, 6/14
20-11 on 6/15
and finally, the top 10 won't be completed until this Saturday (6/18).

#54 has 7 top 50 rankings, with none being top 20. Only one ranked it bottom 20, but I was also a bottom 10. Hint: Kitties who aren't alone.
