This would, unfortunately, be Christina's last studio album before being dropped by Def Records two weeks after the album's release. It was released on May 16, 2006 and was mainly produced by Cool & Dre to give the album a more urban feel compared to her previous two. The songs were inspired by her breakup with Nick Cannon. Christina received writing credit for 9 tracks on the album.
The album debuted and peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard 200, and sold a total of 163,000 copies. Internationally, the album charted in the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland. The album's only single, "Say I", featuring rapper Jeezy, saw peak positions of number four in the UK, and number 21 in the United States.
What are/were your fave tracks from the album? Such a shame she wasn't able to release more singles off the album. My personal faves are Gonna Tell Everybody (so relatable), Y'all Ain't Nuthin, Just A Little Bit, Hot Boy, and Who's Gonna Ride. This is actually my fave album from her. I've found it to be a bit more consistent in the tracks than her first two.
Say I ft. Young Jeezy (#21 Hot 100, #4 Dance Club Songs, #13 R&B, #35 Top 40, #18 Rhythmic, #25 Dance/Mix Show Airplay)

This is my least favorite album of hers. I appreciate the cohesiveness, but it's missing any standout singles. I remember "Say I" being such a let down after loving It's About Time, and I still prefer the Maurice mix of that one. "Gonna Tell Everybody" would probably be my favorite song, and "Who's Gonna Ride" is pretty catchy, but neither are ones that I revisit often.
