At least it'll be going recurrent on Mediabase's Hot AC chart tonight. What does that mean for its chart run? Nothing for the Hot 100. It's airplay will still count. Blinding Lights is still #1 at AC radio.

So we're definitely losing For The Night (finally!), Willow, Long Live, and Wasted On You this week. Looks like Damage and One Too Many will each be surviving for a 21st week thanks to some unexpected radio gains.

All things considered, Wasted on You had a really long shelf life which makes me wonder how many hits Morgan Wallen would've had this year if none of this ever happened.

Despite the fact that bad things (with camila Cabello) and rap devil had better peaks on hot 100, my ex's best friend is the song with the better longevity...

I canβt stand the comments on that twitter post Lmao the Barbz really thought LLC would re-enter just cause they streamed itΒ It's quite a curious case, really. Nicki supposedly has this legion of fans ready to go to bat for her but that support never seems to be able to be expressed through streaming, which is the best way to support an artist's music. Yes, Nicki doesn't get nearly enough radio support these days with her singles but spamming iTunes for a few hours is never the way to go, especially where long-term support is concerned. Nicki's most streamed songs aren't her own and that's both Globally and in the US. Her catalog streams, especially in the US, are very low for the kind of active fanbase she has. I don't know what it is exactly, but there seems to be a huge disconnect somewhere.

One thing I'm curious about, how do they decipher which song goes to 1 when SYT and LTDO both have the same points?

For the 3rd time in 5 weeks, the #1 race is too close to call and will be decided on the final radio update. LTDO is the common denominator in all of these races:
4/17: LTDO vs. CMBYN 5/1: LTDO vs. Rapstar 5/15: LTDO vs. SYT vs. Peaches
If the pattern continues, we might get LTDO vs. J Cole song on the 5/29 chart.

I dislike WITHOUT YOU, but I'm happy for Miley tho, she really deserves that top 10. Welcome to the club of artist with at least one top 10 in the 00s, 10s and 20s (Gaga, Taylor, Derulo, Chris Brown, Eminem, Beyonce, Drake, Mariah, Lil Wayne, Maroon 5).
Midnight Sky, Mother's Daughter, Nothing Breaks Like A Heart, Angels Like You, Slide Away deserved!

Here is a close week: linkBased on TOTC "All of Me" had 518 points. 0.009% difference. Even when you use unscaled points (*100) 51,800, the difference is <5 points (4.662). 5 points out of 50k+
"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" had 295 and the margin was even smaller than 0.009%. Unfortunately nothing is mentioned in the BB article.

Talk of the Charts @talkofthecharts This weeks US digital sales #1 sold just 11K copies, the lowest in the chart's history.
Just in time for umpteen weeks of bts. Will their fans be motivated enough to give them the TWO longest running digital #1s?

www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/9569704/ariana-grande-makes-history-pop-airplay-chart-three-top-10-songs/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter3 Top 10 'Positions': Ariana Grande Makes History on Pop Airplay ChartBy Gary Trust 5/10/2021 As "POV" rises 13-10, joining "Positions" at No. 6 and "34+35" at No. 9, Grande is the first artist with three concurrent top 10s in the chart's history. Ariana Grande scores a first on Billboard's mainstream top 40 radio-based Pop Airplay chart, thanks to three of her hits. As "POV" rises 13-10 on Pop Airplay, joining former No. 1s "Positions," at No. 6, and "34+35," at No. 9 (on the chart dated May 15), Grande becomes the first artist to post three concurrent top 10s in the survey's history, which dates to 1992. "POV" is the third radio single from Grande's Republic Records album Positions, after the title cut led for seven weeks beginning in December and "34+35" reigned for three weeks in February. Grande previously came within a notch of tripling up in the Pop Airplay top 10. On the Feb. 9, 2019, chart, her "Thank U, Next" ranked at No. 2, "7 Rings" blasted 21-10 and "Breathin" dipped 7-11. Timbaland likewise charted three songs in the top 11 spots for two weeks in November 2007, after Usher landed a trio in the top 11 ranks for two frames in July 2004. Nearly a year ago, Grande was also scoring concurrent Pop Airplay hits, with "Stuck With U," with Justin Bieber, and "Rain on Me," with Lady Gaga. At the time, Erik Bradley, music director at chart reporters KNOU (97.1 Now!) Los Angeles and WBBM-FM (B96) Chicago, mused that the format had room for both Grande tracks. "No worries on that," he said. "We tend to toss out the standard artist separation preferences and become more concerned with playing hits. She's strongly on the A-list." "POV" is Grande's 19th Pop Songs top 10, a run that began with "Problem" (her first of eight No. 1s) in June 2014. She boasts the most top 10s of any act in that span, ahead of Bieber (15), Taylor Swift, The Weeknd (11 each), Maroon 5 and Ed Sheeran (10 each). All charts will update Tuesday, May 11, on Billboard.com.

^So, I guess Dynamite and Savage are off the hook. I wonder if the song that got the 11k was either LTDO or SYT. If not, then Peaches is in prime position to return to #1.
