www.billboard.com/articles/news/9570075/weeknd-ariana-grande-save-your-tears-second-week-number-one/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=socialThe Weeknd & Ariana Grande Hold Atop Hot 100; Billie Eilish, The Kid LAROI & Miley Cyrus Hit Top 10By Gary Trust 5/10/2021 "Save Your Tears" spends a second week at No. 1, "Your Power" debuts at No. 9 and "Without You" bounds 23-10. The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. The track, originally released solely by The Weeknd on his 2020 album After Hours, topped the tally for the first time a week earlier following the release of its remix with Grande. Plus, Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More," featuring SZA, hits the Hot 100's top five, rising 6-5; Billie Eilish debuts at No. 9 with "Your Power"; and The Kid LAROI and Miley Cyrus soar from No. 23 to No. 10 with "Without You," following the arrival of its remix with Cyrus. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated May 15) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (May 11). For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram. "Save Your Tears," released on XO/Republic Records, holds atop the Hot 100 with 22.4 million streams (down 26%) and 8,500 downloads sold (down 53%) in the week ending May 6, according to MRC Data. It also attracted 68.5 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 1%) in the week ending May 9. A week earlier, following the April 23 release of its remix with Grande, "Tears" surged by 111% to 30.4 million streams and 265% to 18,000 sold. The track dips 2-3 on Radio Songs and 2-5 on Streaming Songs and falls from No. 1 to No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart. "Leave the Door Open" by Silk Sonic, the duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100, four weeks after reaching No. 1. It logs a fourth week at No. 1 on Radio Songs (80.9 million, up 5%), while leading Hot R&B Songs for a seventh week and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a third frame; both charts use the same methodology as the Hot 100. Justin Bieber's "Peaches," featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon, keeps at No. 3 on the Hot 100, six weeks after it debuted at No. 1. The song claims the Hot 100's top Airplay Gainer award for a sixth consecutive week (up 15% to 70.7 million). Dua Lipa's "Levitating," featuring DaBaby, hits a new No. 4 Hot 100 high, rising from No. 5, as it continues to be a prominent source for soundtracking clips on TikTok. It likewise ranks in the Radio Songs top five for the first time (7-4; 51 million, up 16%, after previously peaking at No. 6 in January; it hit a weekly high of 55.4 million in February). It reaches a new No. 2 best on Digital Song Sales, up from No. 4 (9,700, down 11%), and keeps at its No. 6 peak on Streaming Songs (21.8 million, up 2%). Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More," featuring SZA, ascends to the Hot 100's top five, lifting 6-5 with 25.9 million in airplay audience (up 12%); 25.6 million streams (up 6%); and 4,700 sold, essentially even week-over-week. Doja Cat notches her second top five Hot 100 hit, among two top 10s, after "Say So," featuring Nicki Minaj, topped the May 16, 2020, chart. SZA makes her first visit to the top five, among four top 10s. Polo G's "Rapstar" descends 4-6 on the Hot 100 after arriving and spending its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1. It rules Streaming Songs (29.5 million, down 15%) and the multi-metric Hot Rap Songs ranking for a fourth week each. Masked Wolf's "Astronaut in the Ocean" returns to its No. 7 Hot 100 best, from No. 8, as it becomes his first No. 1 on Digital Song Sales (2-1; 11,000, down 13%), and Lil Nas X's "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" retreats 7-8 on the Hot 100, five weeks after it launched at No. 1. Billie Eilish's "Your Power" debuts at No. 9 on the Hot 100 following its first full week of availability. Released at 12 p.m. ET April 29, it enters the chart with 22.2 million streams and 4,200 sold in the April 30-May 6 tracking week. It also drew 9.6 million in airplay audience in the week ending May 9. It starts at No. 4 on Streaming Songs and No. 17 on Digital Song Sales. Eilish earns her fifth Hot 100 top 10 and third to debut in the top tier. "Bad Guy" entered at No. 7 in April 2019 and spent a week at No. 1 that August. Her next four top 10s have all reached the region in either their first or second weeks on the chart, as, prior to "Your Power," "Everything I Wanted" vaulted from No. 74 to its No. 8 peak in November 2019 following its first full week of release; "My Future" launched at its No. 6 peak in August 2020; and "Therefore I Am" rocketed from No. 94 to its No. 2 best in November 2020 following its first full week of availability. "Future," "Therefore" and "Your Power" are all on Eilish's LP Happier Than Ever, due July 30. Her previous studio set, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, debuted atop the Billboard 200 in April 2019; it spent three weeks at No. 1 that April-June and has logged its first 109 weeks on the chart in the top 40 (this week rising 30-24). Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, The Kid LAROI and Miley Cyrus' "Without You" blasts from No. 23, its prior best, to No. 10 following the April 30 release of its remix with Cyrus. It hits the top 10 with 12.5 million streams (up 54%) and 7,600 sold (up 218%) in the week ending May 6, good for the Hot 100's top Streaming and Sales Gainer honors. It also drew 43.5 million in airplay audience (up 9%) in the week ending May 9. It surges 50-5 on Digital Song Sales for its first week in the top 10 and concurrently hits the Radio Songs top 10, roaring 13-6. On Streaming Songs it re-enters at No. 21, likewise a new high. The Kid LAROI posts his second Hot 100 top 10 and first in a lead role, after "Hate the Other Side," by Juice WRLD and Marshmello featuring Polo G and The Kid LAROI, debuted and peaked at No. 10 last July. Cyrus (credited on the Hot 100 on "Without You" for the first time, as the remix accounted for the majority of the title's consumption activity in the tracking week) adds her 10th Hot 100 top 10, including one under her Hannah Montana alter ego. Her top 10s, in order of peak date, prior to "Without You": "See You Again" (No. 10, 2008); "7 Things" (No. 9, 2008); "The Climb" (No. 4, 2009); "He Could Be the One" (Hannah Montana; No. 10, 2009); "Party in the U.S.A." (No. 2, 2009); "Can't Be Tamed" (No. 8, 2010); "We Can't Stop" (No. 2, 2013); "Wrecking Ball" (No. 1, three weeks, 2013); and "Malibu" (No. 10, 2017). Six-cess: Meanwhile, "Without You," already the most common title of a Hot 100 top 10 over the chart's 62-year history, extends that mark, as The Kid LAROI and Cyrus take the sixth song by that name to the bracket. It follows top 10s titled "Without You" by Johnny Tillotson (No. 7 peak, 1961); Nilsson (No. 1 (four weeks, 1972); Motley Crue (No. 8, 1990); Mariah Carey, who remade Nilsson's hit (No. 3, 1994; listed on the chart with B-side "Never Forget You"); and David Guetta featuring Usher (No. 4, 2011). Again, for all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram and all charts (dated May 15), including the Hot 100 in its entirety, will refresh on Billboard.com tomorrow (May 11).

It would be funny if both “Leave The Door Open” and “Peaches” return to #1 next for one more week each, then we’d have four back to back 2 week #1 hits.

www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/9569704/ariana-grande-makes-history-pop-airplay-chart-three-top-10-songs/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter3 Top 10 'Positions': Ariana Grande Makes History on Pop Airplay ChartBy Gary Trust 5/10/2021 As "POV" rises 13-10, joining "Positions" at No. 6 and "34+35" at No. 9, Grande is the first artist with three concurrent top 10s in the chart's history. Ariana Grande scores a first on Billboard's mainstream top 40 radio-based Pop Airplay chart, thanks to three of her hits. As "POV" rises 13-10 on Pop Airplay, joining former No. 1s "Positions," at No. 6, and "34+35," at No. 9 (on the chart dated May 15), Grande becomes the first artist to post three concurrent top 10s in the survey's history, which dates to 1992. "POV" is the third radio single from Grande's Republic Records album Positions, after the title cut led for seven weeks beginning in December and "34+35" reigned for three weeks in February. Grande previously came within a notch of tripling up in the Pop Airplay top 10. On the Feb. 9, 2019, chart, her "Thank U, Next" ranked at No. 2, "7 Rings" blasted 21-10 and "Breathin" dipped 7-11. Timbaland likewise charted three songs in the top 11 spots for two weeks in November 2007, after Usher landed a trio in the top 11 ranks for two frames in July 2004. Nearly a year ago, Grande was also scoring concurrent Pop Airplay hits, with "Stuck With U," with Justin Bieber, and "Rain on Me," with Lady Gaga. At the time, Erik Bradley, music director at chart reporters KNOU (97.1 Now!) Los Angeles and WBBM-FM (B96) Chicago, mused that the format had room for both Grande tracks. "No worries on that," he said. "We tend to toss out the standard artist separation preferences and become more concerned with playing hits. She's strongly on the A-list." "POV" is Grande's 19th Pop Songs top 10, a run that began with "Problem" (her first of eight No. 1s) in June 2014. She boasts the most top 10s of any act in that span, ahead of Bieber (15), Taylor Swift, The Weeknd (11 each), Maroon 5 and Ed Sheeran (10 each). All charts will update Tuesday, May 11, on Billboard.com. Ridiculous!

Doja Cat notches her second top five Hot 100 hit, among two top 10s, after "Say So," featuring Nicki Minaj, topped the May 16, 2020, chart. I love how even they keep forgetting 34+35 Remix existed.

Wow, Miley has 4 songs peaking at #10...is that a record? Doesn't seem very common.

Edit: Michael Jackson also has 4, and a fifth if you count his uncredited background vocals/production on Diana Ross's 'Muscles' Another Edit: Taylor Swift & Chr*s Br*wn also have 4 #10 hits

There's something happening at Billboard lately. Their charts are continually glitching .
Sales on Alpha Data / Rolling Stone were all higher, suggesting an entire day was missing on MRC/Billboard's charts.
Secondly, it's literally impossible that "Without You" only got 12.5 million streams, you can see on Rolling Stone that it got 12.9 million audio ALONE, not even counting video or programmed streaming. It should've been #8, or #9 at the absolute worst.
This is just 2 weeks after "Solid" was robbed of top 10 because 7-8% of the audio didn't count for all Slime Language 2 songs for whatever reason, which got fixed the next week.
The fact that chart predictors are more accurate than this company that's supposed to be "official"... and the worst part is stans will think predictors are inaccurate when it's really Billboard itself.

no solo songs in the Top 5. I believe this is the first time it's happened since the chart dated October 17, 2020:
#1 - Savage Love #2 - Dynamite #3 - WAP #4 - Mood #5 - Laugh Now Cry Later

All this kinda doesn’t matter to me because I doubt Without You is gonna ultimately peak at #10. I also don’t think a lost day of sales made a huge difference for most songs since sales are becoming increasingly irrelevant.

Its funny how digital sales had become an innovative thing back in 2006/2007 with iTunes as the top store for music, but now it’s just used for stans and manipulation.

Sales have always been used by stans and for (over used word in these threads) manipulation. Just seems more prevalent since sales are so low across the board.
Do you know how many multiple sealed copies I have of Madonna cassette singles!?

Might not have to due so much with glitching, but just the fact that they use different data sources. Billboard has always been more conservative and less expansive with their data, thus their numbers being lower.

Billboard and Rolling Stone use pretty much the exact same audio sources.
In addition, Billboard adds video and programmed streaming to their songs. So their streams should be higher by default.
This is the ONLY song this year where it has less streams on Billboard than Rolling Stone.
Smash knows exactly what's he's talking about.

I love the rest and continue to live for these top 10s from the 1980s. That top 10 from 1996 is iconic, too, but I've commented on most of those songs in a previous thread.

Still no word from Billboard on what songs debuted this week and where. Strange, we usually get that 1-2 hours after the top 10 has been published.

Still no word from Billboard on what songs debuted this week and where. Strange, we usually get that 1-2 hours after the top 10 has been published. That's because they're having problems with the data this week, they can't announce any new positions because they've already messed up the top 10 lol, they need to make sure the ranks are accurate for everything else at least.

Billboard Top 10 Flashback: May 14, 201604 17 Purple Rain - Prince & The Revolution 06 04 Work - Rihanna feat. Drake 08 20 When Doves Cry - Prince 10 NE Formation - Beyonce 11 NE Sorry - Beyonce 13 NE Hold Up - Beyonce 18 NE 6 Inch - Beyonce feat. The Weeknd 20 29 Little Red Corvette - Prince 23 28 Kiss - Prince & The Revolution 25 39 Let's Go Crazy - Prince & The Revolution I forgot the death of Prince and the release of Lemonade to widespread streaming impacted at the same time. It's also wild it's been 5 years since either Beyonce or Rihanna have released a true studio album.

I remember in Uk back in early 00's. More turnovers at number 1 but the chart is strong but in US, quick turnovers recently but the chart is really freakin' frail.
