Bruno becomes the first artist with 5 diamond singles: My guess is that he is waiting for Uptown Funk to go 2x diamond to (finally) update the certifications. That 11x platinum certification is so outdated. It's odd that he's updated the certifications for pretty much every song in his catalog except for that one. Because Uptown Funk is not on Bruno's label, Atlantic. It's on RCA and they can be very lazy certifying singles. P!nk and Kelly Clarkson are very under-certified.

I haven't looked at the charts since late 2020. Still so impressive that Blinding Lights is in the top 15 STILL. Any chance of it beating The Twust?

I haven't looked at the charts since late 2020. Still so impressive that Blinding Lights is in the top 15 STILL. Any chance of it beating The Twust? Yes, but it will depend on what the multiplier for its chart run ends up to be. If the multiplier stays at 0.85 for its entire chart run, then BL has already beat The Twist. Now, if it drops down to 0.8 for its entire chart run, BL would still need 3-4 more weeks to beat out The Twist. TOTC's chart list uses the 0.85 multiplier: www.talkofthecharts.org/goatOn here, BL has 18,981 points compared to The Twist 18,115 points. If the multiplier were to drop down to 0.8, BL would need 18,115 * (17/16) =~19,247 points to beat out The Twist.

I do not even have the Discord app, but you must be the person who runs that Talk of the Charts Twitter account. Go back to whining about your conspiracy theories on Twitter. It is great that Billboard has finally put its foot on your neck because chart watching has become ruined ever since you popped up. Moderators, do something with this psychopath because it is obviously breaking all types of rules It's funny how you are STILL trying to deny that you're actually that annoying fad in the Discord. Give it up; anyone who's even remotely active in the Discord knows it's you. That second part is just hilarious. If anything chart watching was enhanced by the TOTC account. No longer do you just get spoon-fed what the most egotistical and fraudulent company tells you. No longer will mistakes such as Without You last week go unnoticed. No longer do mysteries regarding why songs are some positions and not others go unexplained. Considering that you have no response to the sales comeback I gave you and the fact that you keep getting ratioed in likes by 24-0 it makes me wonder why you keep spewing bulls**t and utter stupidity on all of your posts. Continue remaining a jobless stupid fad though.Yes, we cannot all run Twitter accounts. Your parents must be so proud. To your your irrelevant Twitter account whining about Billboard conspiracies you go. Friday nights foaming out of your mouth online...ehhh

In the weekly US YouTube music video chart, the one for Buid a B*tch edged Good 4 U's. Straightenin debuted at #3, my.life at #4, White Teeth at #6, Seeing Green at #9 and Dear Slim at #10.

What was the last time a rock-oriented song by a solo female artist topping the chart? Was it Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck Without You?

Since then, we’ve also had We Are Young, Rude, Sucker, and Circles (and I guess you could make the argument for Maroon 5’s chart-toppers, although who would), but none of those really pop out as being real rock songs to me.

^That's the music chart, not the music video chart. The latter is what Billboard has been counting.

I am so happy for this. It would have not look good on Billboard's part if its greatest song of all-time, after 75 weeks on the chart, suddenly fell off from #12. Blinding Lights deserves to have a graceful, gradual decline off the charts, just like Circles and I Hope got.

What the heck is up with that?Hi, fellow Filipino here and I've been to numerous karaoke places. The most common explanation for this is that it is a freak social phenomena, a by-product of an overly-macho and violent culture in certain, specific areas. In no way is the song actually violently outlawed by the government or other states. In fact, even briefly do research "Karaoke rage phenomena" and there are other incidents like this in other countries. I'm sure you didn't mean any harm but it's just something to keep in mind.

What the heck is up with that? These are drunk people who sings too loud in the middle of the night and their neighbors getting irritated from the noise that leads to killing. A lot of these cases had "My Way" as the last song they sung. I just found out they had a full wikipedia page for this: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Way_killings

Are you telling me it hasn't had a gradual decline in outlasting literal years worth of songs?! Falling off from #12 would have not been a gradual decline. Circles and I Hope had many weeks on the charts after leaving the Top 10, and got to fall off the charts in pretty much a natural manner. Blinding Lights just barely fell off the Top 10 (and some of us even predicted it to be in the Top 10 just last week), so if it were to fall off now, it would not be meeting its full potential.

It hasn't been #1 in over a year (literally) and is now #12. That's the most gradual decline from #1 ever.

If it fell off now to return to the recurrent chart because a new album Is being heavily streamed fir a week. It would just.bounce back the next week anyway.
