This is my least favorite of the three pre-release singles, but it's cute. I'm definitely excited for the album though.

This sounds like a 2008-era Katy Perry fourth single. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or bad thing yet.

This gives me summer vibes. I picture myself at the beach listening to this, and I don't even like the beach lol

Sounds more similar to stuff on Foster the People's debut EP from 2010.

Totally getting the Katy Perry vibe. I don't flip for this band, but if they put out catchy melodic stuff with cool Summer vibes who am I to complain.

A bop. Hope there are more songs like this on the album.

I love pop music, but I’m not a fan of them going that route. Not a bad track though.

The lyrics are somewhat cheesy, but the beat and melody slap. I could see this being a nice little anthem on Saturdays during the summer.

This is odd and sounds super out of place on the album. It isn’t awful, but it’s definitely one of the worse songs on an album that isn’t that great.

One of my least favorite songs from the album, but I'll keep listening to see if it grows on me.

I like "Shy Away' slightly more, but I think it's a bit too 80's for this guy's vocals. I think this one better fits his vocals because of the more laid back Indiepop vibe.

Actually this one has grown on me, however this era seems to really lack the hype I was expecting.

Not sure how I feel about this yet. Kind of teetering the line between pleasantly and annoyingly catchy.

Best song on the album in my opinion. Should be big this summer.

Solid. Fairly conventional Twenty One Pilots but melodically does sound a bit different than other singles. I feel like Foster The People (or Mark Foster himself) could have been featured on background vocals here. Are we sure they weren't involved with this song? I feel like Mark Foster could sing the second verse. Hopefully, this will be the single to send them back into deserved crossover territory, as well. Top 20 pop? Top 10, dare I sayeth?

Have no issue with this song, but this album rollout just seems so lacking.

i guess this is probably the most logical pick for the second single, but it still feels so. disposable?? i suppose that applies to most of scaled and icy though,,,you know things are bad when shy away is in the top 3 of the album.
usually when fandoms flip out over a change in sound it feels pretty melodramatic and undeserved, but the trashing i've seen the album get is totally justified imo, esp coming off arguably the best work of their career
