The last song to miss the top 5 is Let You Go. nathanalbright received the perfect ranking, and this one also came with two top 2 rankings. Meanwhile, .indulgecountry cleared his bottom 3 with this reveal.

CLD's Thought
This is the only actual "ballad" song in the album to my ears. I'm not too big on the melody of this song, and not sure if I liked this tune a a closing track (as I mentioned, I would have preferred Nobody's Born as a closing track), but it like the structure of the song. Grace's energetic and powerful vocal that was prominent throughout the album was strongly showcased at the last part, and yet, blended well with the vulnerable vibe of the song that she delivered through the slower part of the song.

Multiple #1 loss is here, unfortunately for tim and ccarter1023 . On the other hand, @nathanalrigt is getting rid of their bottom spot here. There was also a tie with 45 points, so this song with a higher standard deviation is leaving first. 

CLD's Thought
This song is one of the most energetic songs in this album. I was a little hesitant about this song when I heard it for the first time, as the beginning of the song has a little rough instrumental production that sounds a little noisy to my ears. However, once the vocal part starts, the production and Grace's voice started synchronizing well for me to be able to actually enjoy the song. As well, the production improved over time, and I like how the bridge sounds. Overall strong rock tune that stood out well.

CLD's Thought
Empty Heart lasted longer than I thought. This song has distinct production, including some short piano solo, but I found the melody to be a little lacking a memorable character. The mood of the song is pretty flat throughout the song, so I may have enjoyed a little changes within the song. Decent effort though.

The first song to leave in the top 3 is the opening track, "Hot To The Touch." This received five top 5 rankings, including #1 from nathanalbright , while tim becomes the last person to get rid of the bottom spot.

CLD's Thought
This song is such a strong opening track. Instrumental is pretty pleasant, and although it is a pretty energetic song, not too strong to overshadow the powerful 2nd track, and instead it build up the mood to the entire album. I also quite like the "oh-oh-oh" part after the chorus, like the melody of that part is quite memorable.

Here's the finale! With a difference of 8 points, The Miner became the winner, and .indulgecountry , ironically who commented earlier that he was flopping, was the only participant to score the perfect ranking. The second spot was given to the post polarizing song, receiving two #1 rankings, as well as a perfect ranking from SHOOTER , while also received three bottom 3 rankings.

CLD's Thought

This is a perfect top 2, as these were also my top 2, just in the different order. I quite like the melody of The Miner, especially the beginning part of the chorus "Whoh, you're taking so much. The vocal is strong but also vulnerable, effecting conveying the sad lyrics without making it depressing, also thanks to the strong melody. I'm quite surprised to see Low being so polarizing! For me, it is a track where the vocal, production, and lyrics are all coming together well to make a strong track.

Closing Thought:
Thanks for participating in the second round of Grace Potter series (Honorable mention to @countrboi for proposing this series)! After listening to these two albums, I found "Daylight" to have mature vibe, while "Midnight" is rather young and energetic, and yet, Grace demonstrated her vulnerable vocals in some of the songs. I definitely enjoyed the combination of strong rock production with Grace's powerful and sometimes rough vocal in many of the songs, such as Instigators, Alive Tonight, or Hot To the Touch. As well, her writing and vocal was also quite prominent in less-energetic songs, such as Low, The Miner, or even Let You Go, which is the most vulnerable track of the album. Since it was pretty quiet throughout the review, I am looking forward to hearing more from you folks, as well as any feedback regarding the next RD. I am on the fence in terms of continuing this series into Grace Potter and the Nocturnals or stopping here, mostly due to having only 8 people in the current game, but I would be happy to keep going if y'all would be up for it!

I'm happy my #1 won! Especially since this was not an album I had ever heard prior to doing this RD.
