Next up we have a couple of songs from the debut album of AOR band Silver Condor who notably had Earl Slick as their guitarist this album era. There's a track from a band who was more popular in the 1960s, the Sir Douglas Quintet, who had a top 20 Hot 100 hit in 1965 with "She's About a Mover". This set also features 3 songs from Nugent's 2nd live album Intensities in 10 Cities of which "Land of a Thousand Dances" is a cover of the 1962 R&B song by Chris Kenner. YE Rank | Artist - Song | Peak | Weeks | Points | Video | 296. | Silver Condor - Angel Eyes | 49 | 2 | 23 | Link | 202. | Silver Condor - For the Sake of Survival | 26 | 5 | 108 | Link | 356. | Sir Douglas Quintet - Sheila Tequila | 58 | 1 | 3 | Link | 341. | Ted Nugent - Jailbait (Live) | 56 | 1 | 5 | Link | 324. | Ted Nugent - Land of a Thousand Dances (Live) | 47 | 1 | 14 | Link | 235. | Ted Nugent - The Flying Lip Lock (Live) | 29 | 4 | 66 | Link |

In the final set for the day we have a solo song from the lead singer of the Doobie Brothers Tom Johnston. There are also a pair of songs from Toto's 3rd studio album Turn Back along with a trio of songs from the British hard rock band UFO's 9th album The Wild, the Willing and the Innocent. I was unable to find any information about "Out of Season" so I'm not even sure if it's a real song or not but I included it here anyway. Update: "Out of Season" is actually a REO Speedwagon song that got mistakenly listed to be by Todd Rundgren. (Even though it's no longer in alphabetical order I'm just going to leave it in this set anyway to avoid further confusion). YE Rank | Artist - Song | Peak | Weeks | Points | Video | 326. | Todd Rundgren - Compassion | 48 | 1 | 13 | Link | 360. | REO Speedwagon - Out of Season | 59 | 1 | 2 | Link | 319. | Tom Johnston - Madman | 54 | 4 | 16 | Link | 261. | Toto - Gift with a Golden Gun | 21 | 1 | 40 | Link | 303. | Toto - Live for Today | 40 | 1 | 21 | Link | 152. | UFO - Chains Chains | 20 | 6 | 206 | Link | 260. | UFO - It's Killing Me | 20 | 1 | 41 | Link | 269. | UFO - Long Gone | 26 | 1 | 35 | Link |

Up first today we have 4 songs from Warren Zevon's live album Stand in the Fire all of which were recorded at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles (August 1980). 3 of these songs were from his 1978 album Excitable Boy whereas "Stand in the Fire" was a new original song. Also featured here is the title track from New York based singer-songwriter Willie Nile's 2nd studio album. Interestingly, most of this guy's discography has been released after the year 2000. YE Rank | Artist - Song | Peak | Weeks | Points | Video | 174. | Van Halen - Push Comes to Shove | 29 | 6 | 149 | Link | 254. | Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy (Live) | 27 | 3 | 44 | Link | 239. | Warren Zevon - Lawyers, Guns and Money (Live) | 22 | 3 | 61 | Link | 232. | Warren Zevon - Stand in the Fire (Live) | 21 | 2 | 66 | Link | 191. | Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London (Live) | 18 | 3 | 123 | Link | 332. | Willie Nile - Golden Down | 55 | 2 | 9 | Link |

Todd Rundgren does have a song called Out Of Control that came out in 1978, is that possibly the actual song?

Just sent mine in. I knew a good 90 of these songs including the one that sounds like John Cougar but wasn't John Cougar. I absolutely love my top 50,and there really isn't a single song that I can say I hated. Some were just not able to stay afloat.

Actually, peacebone just notified me that "Out of Season" is a REO Speedwagon song that got mistakenly listed as being by Todd Rundgren. I've now updated my post with a link to the correct song.

I am very excited for this rankdown. I stand very firmly by my Top 3, which I fear won't get the same high levels of enthusiasm from others. They are the epitome of early 80's rockers.
It is also somewhat liberating to rank REO Speedwagon (not in my top 3 BTW) highly, back before they sold out to whatever drivel they made post Hi Infidelity.

Submitted. This was one of the most familiar rankdowns I've done, and, much like the modern rock list for this year, I found myself enjoying the vast majority of the music.

This was tough. There was songs in my early 90s that I liked. Only a handful were OK or worse.
Went with an iconic song at number one and a super annoying song at 100.
