Ashres and Leather Cadillac both have Good 4 u at #1 by a good margin. I still believe G4u has the advantage.

I’m not sure the one day of sales was enough to close the gap. Besides, Winston has a history of overestimating BTS sales (he had Dynamite ahead of Blinding Lights on the 1/9 chart - BL finished #3 that week, while Dynamite was #5), so I’m still confident about G4u getting the #1 this week. They got around 7.3k orders yesterday, which is around 64% of the entire weeks total. They more than doubled their sales yesterday. |

this is not what I wanted for my birthday billboard Again, this is going to come down to radio updates. You'll just have to hope that Good 4 u gets 3 good really good updates, and Butter gets 3 crappy ones. The difference is within the margin of error, and way too close to call. |

I’m not counting on this happening but god it’ll be really stupid if a song that’s spent the past month at #1 on US Spotify and getting around a million streams more than the #2 song per day only spends a week at #1 Sometimes it's not all about streaming. If Butter stays #1 for week 4, it will be thanks in terms of a majority of chart points to a metric in which at most 20,000 people (8,000 on main outlets, 12,000 on D2C) participated. One of my colleagues who’s less generous in assuming all of the web store orders weren’t filtered pins the number at 15,000 (7,000 main, 8,000 D2C). It definitely shouldn’t be all about that few people, surely you’d agree. |

Has the source of the dark money funding these single sales been identified? The fact that it’s also tied to fringe political movements, I mean ‘causes’ only makes it more suspect. I wonder what else is happening when kids (mostly teen girls) get brought into that system. ISIS brides prove that weak/teens can be manipulated.
And what IS the ultimate goal? I mean ‘Butter’ being #1 for multiple weeks is the nearing the equivalent of ‘The Letter’ being #1 on Cash Box. Seriously - chart positions fueled a manipulating a single metric doesn’t equate popularity or greater exposure of the music. Would significantly LESS people know about Butter if it was #5, #15 or #55 in Week 2?

Damn so good 4 u is never going back to #1? Hate to see it. The best timeline is if Levitating went to #1, then my life went to #1 on the J Cole week, good 4 u on the Olivia week, and then Butter came after that. That way everyone wins and we wouldn’t be as ticked off that 2/4 songs didn’t go to #1. |
