This deserved better. It deserved at least one late night show performance to go top 40 on Hot 100.

This is hemorrhaging spins unfortunately. I wonder how big of a seven day loss this can muster up.

I wish this has reached the Top 10 at Pop, but I guess I sort of expected that Warner wasn't going to push it to do that. I mean, they did the same with "We're Good" and that track got luck that Mediabase let "Levitating" to go back to recurrency when it shouldn't, so it only reached the Top 10 because of that. Anyway, it will be interesting if Warner pushes another song of the album early next year to coincide with her tour in the US.

#Justice4Hallucinate Either that or #ReleaseTheNormaniCut I wish this has reached the Top 10 at Pop, but I guess I sort of expected that Warner wasn't going to push it to do that. I mean, they did the same with "We're Good" and that track got luck that Mediabase let "Levitating" to go back to recurrency when it shouldn't, so it only reached the Top 10 because of that. Just re-reading this post, that ain't what happened lol; judging by this post you probably forgot, but 'We're Good' went top 10 before 'Levitating' was restored, and it's because Mediabase waffled for so long that it got there (because at that point 'Levitating' was back to getting more spins than 'We're Good'). I think WG even got two weeks in the top 10 because of this, instead of just one? But we're agreed about 'Levitating' returning to recurrency. That was some arbitrary bulls**t and it should've been subject to the regular conditions (ie. going back to recurrency after it left the top 10, like everything else).

Wow, they really dropped this. Lamer than lame.
I would not release anything more after this and Eltons, just work on a new album and let people miss you. Because overexposure can and will happen.

Put me on team #DuaTakeABreak. I don't even think she should go away for long but I think pushing more Future Nostalgia stuff at this point is not needed other than maybe wanting to see videos for Cool or IIAM. The Elton song is keeping her relevant and I'm sure more collabs are on the way.

I agree about taking a break. Levitating is still also going strong.
However, since Meg thee Stallion will be at a couple of her tour dates in 2022, I can't help but feel that there'll be a collab between these two coming out before the tour starts.

Normani collab would have been so perfect. It’s a shame.

As much as I love Cool, it’s a bit late in the era to be releasing it and it’s more of a summer single so releasing it late fall would be a bad move. I’m don’t see anything else on the original album hitting as a single. The only option I could see working is dropping the Normani version of If It Ain’t Me. If not that, then end the era and ride out the success of Cold Heart. Overexposure is real (just ask The Weeknd). Let people miss Dua and return with a new era in either summer or fall of 2022.

I have to hand it to her team! They promised a long album campaign and they delivered. I was wondering how they could possibly stretch an era for two years BUT here we are two years later still talking about possible singles.

I remember when I first read that near the album release thinking “yeah right.. I’ve heard that before”. Lol To tell you the Truth theirs been a couple of times during this albums run that I thought it may be done.. Even though it did well enough I started thinking the label spoke to soon around the time of “Break Your Heart” and then “We’re Good”. Lol. It’s nice to be wrong sometimes.

I believe it fell two weeks short. I am a bit disappointed with how this did. It really is a gorgeous song and I was hoping for at least a Top 10 peak. But whenever someone asks me about why this fell short of expectations, I will just say it was a sacrificial lamb for Cold Heart. You'll never catch me saying otherwise.

It spent twenty weeks inside the Top 40 at Pop, so let's hope this will do the same as her other Future Nostalgia singles.

Fingers crossed! Wow, to see it in the 30s after it hitting 11 not that long ago feels like it’s tumbled pretty hard since then. Damn, so not deserving.
