Señorita was released on June 21, 2019, as the 2nd single from the deluxe edition of Mendes' self-titled 3rd studio album and later included on Cabello's 2nd studio album Romance.
The song reached #1 in the US (Camila's 2nd and Shawn's 1st #1) as well as in 35 other countries (UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Norway, New Zealand, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden...), and according to IFPI, it was the 3rd best selling song WW that year, with 16.1 million units.
Señorita is currently among the 10 most streamed songs on Spotify, with 1.86 billion streams and it has more than 3 billion streams combined with YouTube. It's eligible for 6x platinum in the US.
This collab has won an AMA, 2 MTV VMAs, a PCA, BBMA, and received a nomination for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

overplayed, but i still have fond memories of when the line "but friends don't know the way you taste la la la" became a meme at my summer camp that year and i like this song based on that reason alone lmao

Will always remind me of Summer 2019. Camila and Shawn were everywhere that summer with this song. Still a nice song although.

Definitely a song worth remembering of mid-2019 and while the song is already good, easily beating their first collab ("I Know What You Did Last Summer" it also has a sentimental value for me as this is the #1 on my birthday chart week ever since I started following Billboard Hot 100 in 2014

Probably their respective commercial and musical peaks. It's really just a joy to listen to and the playful romanticism of the track is something you rarely hear in pop music today.

For some reason I never got into this at the time but hearing it again recently made me appreciate it more than ever. Like them or not, this is just a well-done song.
