Since we are talking about this being the 7th single from Luke's 2nd album 'What You See Ain't Always What You Get (Deluxe)', will this be the first time since 2007's 'Let It Go' by Tim McGraw which I remember had 7 singles released from it? I recall 2009's "Nothin' To Die For" was the 7th single from that album and remember it peaking at like #5 in Spring 2009. I don't recall any artist in the 2010s going 7 singles but remember Luke Bryan going 6 singles with both 'Crash My Party' and 'Kill The Lights', as all 6 from 'Kill The Lights' all went to #1 for airplay. If this goes #1 for Luke, then he would be the first artist to have all 7 singles from an album go to #1 and first album to have 7 singles released and gone to #1. I think Luke can do it as I know a lot of folks on his post wanted this song released as the next radio release and it looks like they are getting what they wanted.

Great choice, this one is an anthem. The chorus has so much energy and is extremely catchy. Should be another easy #1 for him.

Was hoping they'd dip back into the OG album for one of those uptempos, but this one is solid. There's still like... 6 other songs I would've liked as singles over this though, so the cycle of disappointing radio picks for me this era continues.

I'm a little disappointed by this choice, but this has seemed like the likely next single for awhile. I was hoping for "1, 2 Many" or "Refrigerator Door".

Not a fan of this choice at all. âEvery Little Bit Helpsâ or âRefrigerator Doorâ were right there. First choice this era where Iâm particularly disappointed.

"Forever After All" was my favorite Luke single by far, but this one will have to grow on me. It sounds like a complete rehash of "Beer Never Broke My Heart" imo.

Not a fan of this choice at all. âEvery Little Bit Helpsâ or âRefrigerator Doorâ were right there. First choice this era where Iâm particularly disappointed. "Every Little Bit Helps" is one of my favorite songs he's ever recorded and I would be ecstatic if that was ever released (which it won't now), but I'm guessing they went with "Cold as You" because it sounds a little more contemporary for corporate radio programmers than ELBH, even though most of his songs (including "Cold as You") have that early-to-mid 2000s vibe in music and certainly, melody. I actually like "Cold as You" more than "Forever After All." I like the melody more and the love songs, even though are in his wheelhouse, were getting a little tiresome for me, personally. "Cold as You" is similar in subject to 'Beer Never Broke My Heart," but so is "Forever After All" to "Better Together" and "Beautiful Crazy." This single will probably peak around October-November, so it looks like Luke's team and Sony Music Nashville are gearing up for a new unheard, lead single and new music by the start of 2022; which is a popular point of the year for that.

Disappointing that they felt the need to release from the Deluxe edition, because frankly it was inferior to the Standard edition. Of the up-tempo's from the deluxe, I preferred "My Kinda Folks" slightly over this, but it's still pretty good disposable radio fodder. It still surprises though that they feel they have to play it this safe with someone who is the undisputed top dog at radio right now.

I'm holding out hope that album #3 he switches it up some and really tries to diversify a bit because all of his songs are really starting to blend together for me. His drinking anthems all sound the same, and so do his slower ballad type songs. He could really take advantage of being one of the hottest commodities in country music of all time by releasing something much more interesting... and it really hasn't happened yet. When he debuted, I was loving him and thought he was a great breath of fresh air, but in a few year he's already feeling pretty stale to me and a lot of my excitement for him has been zapped, sadly, due to the sameness of his material and the airplay oversaturation.

This song should be really close to re-entering Hot 100 as it is between You Time (which debuted on Hot 100) and Knowing You (which is #1 on Bubbling Under Hot 100) on Hot Country Songs chart this week.

Can someone with some chart watching expertise and data let me know how this is performing relative to his other singles. And specifically to what I regard as his other "radio songs" -- 3 minute or less nailed on hits -- like Beer Never Broke My Heart? Thanks in advance.

Already loved this song but got to see him live last weekend and he did not disappoint at all. This is a jam live. Even the slower love songs that I admittedly got tired of on radio were awesome.

This is found in the new music video. Feels like a bit too fast for album release, but who knows.

Enters the Mediabase Top 5 at #5 this week with a bullet of 366. Not bad. I imagine that Sony will probably aim for #1 once "Fancy Like" Ryan/Maren, ZBB, and Jason/Carrie all clear out. Definitely feels like this is the first Luke Combs song that feels a bit ho-hum hit/impact wise.

After letting this one soak in for a couple months, I can safely say this is by far his worst single yet. Does absolutely nothing for me. Hope he comes back harder with the next release.

Luke posted on his Facebook page that he will be performing a brand new song at the CMA Awards tonight, and that itâll be released on streaming platforms immediately after his performance.

I haven't listened to country radio in about 10 years, and give never heard a Luke Combs song, so when I saw this title I had to check it out in hopes it was a cover of Taylor Swift's Cold as You. Sadly it isn't, and this song isn't for me so I turned it off halfway thru. But good luck to this young man and I'm sure many people like his stuff, so he doesn't need my approbation.

I think if they choose to release âDoinâ Thisâ as the next single he may end up winning song of the year with it next year. That song to me after hearing him perform last night was a defining moment in his career. Iâd put it right there with Alan Jackson premiering âWhere Were You (When The World Stopped Turning) and Tim McGraw premiering âLive Like You Were Dyingâ at the CMAâs. Best performance of the night as well in my opinion.

It's a shame he's become so stale because for the first like 2 years of his career, he was one of my favorite male acts to come on the scene, but now I feel like I've heard all there is to Luke Combs. He's giving nothing new and groundbreaking anymore. Everything just sounds like its cut from the same cloth, and it's all the more disappointing given the pedestal he's on. With his star power, he could cut and release the absolute best of the best songs, but he's just not.
