I have 32 songs alone on the short list for January .

Since February is a shorter month, I may lighten the January list and add the worthy leftovers to February. The main problem is never knowing what new releases are on the horizon so, unless it's the holiday slowdown, I can't gauge whether there will be a trickle or flood of new music to sort through.

Ryan Destiny may best be known for starring in the lead role of Alexandra Crane on Fox's Star but her entertainment career started years prior as a member of the short-lived trio New Limit. After making it to the finals on America's Got Talent, the trio disbanded and Destiny went on to form a new group called Love Dollhouse that earned a deal under Capitol Records. After breaking up in 2015, Destiny pursued both an acting career and solo music career, releasing several singles to date. Her debut EP is expected later this year.

Since the playlist was an even hour, I ran with 18 songs for January AND, riffing off of Ty 's idea, I rounded up the #2 songs of 2022 to be ranked separately so we can find out which song is essentially "Miss Congeniality" of 2022. Since most of our participants are regulars, it should be fairly easy to rank this separate set and I think keeping it to a dozen makes it even more competitive (personally, I am TORN). Obviously, the runner-up for December has yet to be revealed so I will add that in later and then reveal both sets simultaneously.
