Thanks for the song. I've always wanted to hear what The Exies sounded like. I remember hearing that they were the new project for Matt Serletic who was Matchbox Twenty's producer. I saw their CD in the store and the cover art reminded me of MB20 picture I had seen. Sound more like Nickelback than MB20, IMO. Maybe it's the over the top vocal?

This song is okay but not near the quality of the last album in my opinion.

I really liked the last album and will give this one a shot as well. There were a lot of songs that could have been excellent singles. Does anyone have the songs that were released and their chart positions?

I like this, but not as much as "My Goddess" and "Kickout".

The album debuts at Heatseeker Number 23. The album before, "Inertia," at least got at or near the top of the Heatseeker chart.

Inertia was a much better album than this one. After playing Inertia to death, I looked forward to this even though I didn't care for Ugly that much.
There are a couple of good songs, but this album isn't that good. It really sucks when a band comes out with a gem and it gets ignored, because obviously, those gems are hard to come up with.

I'll have to listen to my Inertia album all the way through before I pass judgement on the direction this band is heading, but for now, this song is so vanilla.
I was into "My Goddess" a lot, but none of the other singles I've heard from them sound remotely like it. I just don't understand why the record company would release a debut single so not representative of the music these guys play.

They are harder edged with the new one, but the problem is that they don't have any good hooks.

This has been steadily growing on me. It's on its way to becoming their biggest hit on my personal chart, but I don't think it's fair to directly compare this and "My Goddess" because they're so different. I like both.
It's also holding its own on Alternative, in the mid-30s with a bullet. Where did "MG" peak? It hit #26 on Billboard Modern Rock, so even now, "Ugly" is close to being as big as "MG" on the charts.

That's where "Ugly" lands this week, leapfrogging Kasabian even.

They gotta release "F.S.O.S", regardless of censoring or not. It's the closest they got to My Goddess yet. I have a feeling they'll release Baptize Me next, though, since so many people at their forum love it.

...and this just keeps chugging along. The bullet is up to 95, and sits at #23 this morning. Of course, U2 and Lostprophets' freefalls (15 and 16 spots?!) helps that out a little bit.

#19. It's gotta be one of the quietest top 20 hits on the format in a while. (Quiet not in a sense of sound, but amount of buzz The Exies are getting -- almost none, although I've heard this in a TV commercial or two.)

This started out good and then was very boring. (the song) Im not interested, if thats the best song they have. From what I understand from this post though they have better other music.

So this really is in the top 20. I was about to ask when it's going fall to recurrent, but it looks like that's about to be irrelevant.
Finally got around to listening to that debut album of theirs. So many songs more exciting than this one.
