I agree 80's Prince is at the top of his game.  I personally like his stuff way more than other male R&B artists who may be more popular from the 80's.

Lloyd also sampled it in his song "Lay It Down" (which saw her add vocals to the remix), and Big Boi of Outkast sampled it for the song "Ghetto Musick".
