On the one hand, I cleared quite a few low ranks this set, but also I lost a lot of high ranks 😭
I couldn’t really get into Painkiller. Maybe with more listens it would he a bit higher for me but idk. Also, I was a bit nicer to Lazy Eye here than I was for the Sonemic rankdown, but still I don’t really get the hype for it. I’ve tried to listen multiple times but it kind of comes across as annoying in certain parts of the song.
You Oughta Know is a classic and deserved better, though with some of the results of this rankdown I’m not surprised at where it’s at. White Wedding is also a classic and that one I am surprised to see miss the top 10.
1 2 4 9 12 13 26 37 40 53, ideally would like to see something from my top 13 win since those are all at least a 4/5 for me.

Thank you to everyone who participated, or even spectated. These soundtracks are so fun for me to revisit and I'm glad the reception has been positive. Lol as soon as I saw Everlong was one of the few remaining songs left, I knew it was gonna win.

10. Interpol - PDA This is a relly cool song. It just showed up too late in my life to compete with 70's and 80's rock. 9. Nirvana - Drain You What was this? The b-side to "Smells like Party Rock Spirit" single? 8. Dinosaur Jr. - Feel The Pain eh.. this is alright. Kinda tame for my likes. It is my favorite song from them if that helps? 7. The Smashing Pumpkins - Today One of the better 90's song. 6. Alice In Chains - Man In The Box Tuff list. This is definitely my favorite song from this band. The nananan's are are full of attitude. I always wondered how Scott Weiland would perform this one. 5. Metallica - Battery Oh that's right I had another fierce, take no prisoners, metal song in my top 10 , that the tankers couldn't hurt. 4. Motorhead - Ace Of Spades Still a bit reluctant to Lemmy's vocals, but another Metal song in the top 10 is fine with me. 3. Talking Heads - Psycho Killer Probably my favorite song from this band. Nice to see it went the distance. 2. Sonic Youth - Teen Age Riot This would sound better on an RD with songs from this era, but doesn't do much for me for listening pleasure. 1. Foo Fighters - Everlong If my favorite Judas Priest song, nor my favorite Ratt song couldn't take the corwn I'm happy with my favorite Foos song doing it. This is fierce from start to finish. At some point I l knew this would win. Take that Nirvana b-side. razorshark. Great job man. The list of songs was way better than the way they ended up ranking. What counts is the how loud this songs sound on my system when listening to them ,and how many can I preview before I lose my voice. |
