This is really good, and not in-your-face enough to burn fast. I really like the intro, idk what those sounds are (I'm assuming they're synths but it almost sounds like one of those East Asian string instruments) but I love it and I love that they come back during the chorus. The "but does he know that..."s in the chorus are so catchy too!
Maybe this time Swedish House Mafia can get an official #1 on pop radio? "Don't You Worry Child" missed out by a day if I remember correctly since it took over at #1 midweek from "I Knew You Were Trouble." but got overtaken on Sunday by "Thrift Shop".

This was a pleasant listen. Quite dull but 'dull' can become 'great' way easier than 'bad' would.
A step up from "Take My Breath" (I'm probably the only person who thinks that it is a meh song from Abel).

My first reaction to this is that it still goes the category of experimental songs by Weeknd. Which means this won´t be a big hit for them. And another reason this won´t smash is Weeknd and his voice. He has been overexposured for a long time, sounds tired and needs to go away for a couple of years. I wish they would have used somebody else, some new and exciting voices a la Elton John, who was away for couple of decades and now sounds fresh:) Anyway why not Daniel Caesar!

A step up from "Take My Breath" (I'm probably the only person who thinks that it is a meh song from Abel). “Take My Breath” was a slow burner personally but when it clicked (just a week or two ago for me!) it REALLY clicked. Speaking of that song, I now see it as a bridge between “Blinding Lights”/“In Your Eyes” and this song sonically as much as it is in terms of release timing. I think if TMB weren’t released ahead of it, MTAF would stand out even more from Abel’s recent output. |

Yeah this is honesty a step back from "Take My Breath", This is still a great song don't get me wrong but I just feel like this is kind of a letdown..

He’s overexposed, but so is Bieber, and so was Rihanna for ten million years. You just gotta promote and he did really nothing for Take My Breath, no? It should’ve been a way bigger hit.
This one is nice, not as good as TMB imo, but I like it more than the Doja Cat collab.
