I'll be shocked if January comes and goes without a single or album announcement. For so many reasons, it doesn't make sense to wait longer if the album's ready and Kelly's comfortable to release it.

The album that never ends... I mean 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY' out now!

It seems the album has been done for quite a long time now. I know she wanted to wait until the right moment to release it but I hope that's sooner rather than later.

The MOL tour only lasted about 2 months in the states, which is perfectly doable with her schedule. "The Voice" will have wrapped late spring and I'm sure they can finagle TKCS if need be.
I really don't want her back in Long Island @ Nassau Coliseum if she makes the trek to NY. Tickets were not cheap (not to mention getting out there and back if you live in another borough). It really only seemed liked a good time if you were on the floor level. I was seated in an upper level next to a bunch of soccer moms that looked like zombies throughout the majority of her set.
I know it's about $$ at the end of the day, but I'd much prefer her at Radio City or the MSG theatre with a more intimate crowd.

Hopefully tickets aren’t too expensive this time and if she’s there, you can make it down.

It was more about convincing a bunch of other people I wanted to go with that are casual fans to poney up the $$... that did not happen lol. They didn't have the best time either, which was a bummer. I'll be there regardless for the next go around, but I've seen pretty much every tour she's been on and the crowds always play better in the more intimate venues (this goes for most artists tbh). Hopefully we get an album/tour announcement in the next few weeks!

I've gotten to where I prefer to go by myself. I hate having to worry if someone else or others are enjoying themselves.

I try and see her twice. Once with my mom in regular seats (she doesn’t stand for long periods of time but LOVES Kelly), then once on my own or a close friend who can afford floor seats haha.
So excited to see her live again! It’s been far too long.

I’m happy to see “Under the Mistletoe” continue to do well each year. UTT is the GOAT obvs, but UTM is a bop.

There is absolutely no question about it, Kelly is the better vocalist. I don't understand how anyone could think otherwise.
That's not to knock on Adele, though. Adele knows what she can do and she uses that knowledge to be a powerhouse vocalist without ever needing to have an enormous range. Adele's impeccable ability to emote and move you in virtually unmatched in the industry by any other female except Clarkson herself (though I personally would give the edge to Adele there). But Kelly has the range and technical skills that are virtually unmatched by anyone else in the modern mainstream world. (Watch out for Renee Rapp though!) The problem is that a lot of Kelly's material either doesn't showcase it well, or isn't the type of music that the general populace gravitates towards when they look for great vocalists. Adele is quite the opposite in that regard. Her entire brand is built around her incredible vocal abilities, but Kelly's brand is built more around her personality. She isn't called America's Sweetheart for nothing!
Tl;Dr Adele absolutely deserves a spot in the conversation of best vocalists, but Kelly Clarkson is better. And that's not just me being a Stan saying that because I adore Adele too.

The problem is that a lot of Kelly's material either doesn't showcase it well, or isn't the type of music that the general populace gravitates towards when they look for great vocalists. I always found this a rather ironic perception - I agree most people have it wrt her music - bc when you think of Kelly's biggest hits, most of them are actually vocal behemoths that the average person can't entirely pull off. Good luck not getting gassed on karaoke night when you go for the ending bridge note in Since U Been Gone! When Kelly released Meaning of Life she said (paraphrasing here) she didn't want songs that anybody could sing along to, but tbh we already couldn't really sing along to her music. She has always had a talent for taking 'normal' pop songs to abnormal heights, but because they were catchy melodies that make you want to join in, most people just forget or flat out don't realize that she's casually singing her face off the whole time. If someone thinks all those G5/A5 chest belts aren't vocal showcases in and of themselves, I don't know what else to tell 'em bc when it comes to Kelly Clarkson's larynx that thang be thangin'! I've said in the past it mainly came down to branding - She came off a singing competition at a time when that was seen as a major disadvantage, so the fact that she can, y'know, sang got glossed over in the effort to prove she was a viable pop star. And I think that branding issue still (kind of) holds true, but single choices also have a lot to do with it. When people think "vocals" they usually think "ballads," and Kelly only has one ballad top 10 hit (BOY). She's just not associated with slower songs, which is insane because she has so many great ones. In the past few years though people have been taking more stock of how great a vocalist Kelly's always been. Kellyoke has helped a lot with that perception. edit - it is absolutely CRIMINAL to use the chorus of SUBG as the example in a Kelly vs. _____ vocal debate and not the bridge.

Yes, it's so frustrating! I was happy to see Pitch Perfect showcase how difficult of a track SUBG actually is. But unfortunately if it's fun upbeat pop, or let's face it pop in general, snobs are gonna turn up their noses and say "it can't be that difficult" and even fans will go "it's just pop music, how hard can it really be?"
But us... We know. The vocal chameleon and her gift is a damn treasure.

I don't care about the chart position tbh. It's already fantastic that she has a global Top 10/ 20 christmas hit for years to come, with potential to crack the US Top10 one day. This keeps her brand alive. In addition to that, I love how much she is slaying the song vocally. No-one can not hear the vocal acrobatics in the bridge + last chorus. I had this random thought: Kellyoke Vol 2 with 6 Kelly Classics of Kelly's choice to accompany her next album. Buzz-worthy + stan service! jasonhalbert hi! Since I rarely post these days: Happy New Year y'all <3

Accurate.
Also doubly accurate that it would be "Broken & Beautiful" and not something actually good lol. At least she's getting them public performance royalties!

I still have “Forgive You” permanently seared into my mind from when I worked at the Gap for three years in the early to mid 2010s. I get PTSD whenever I hear it.

A travesty. And I love Beyonce but top 10? No Celine. Kelly rated too low but cant even get mad when vocal bible isnt even on here
Mind you according to Rolling Ray Taylor Swift is a better vocalist than Celine? And Kelly? Alicia dry vocals ahead of Celine.
