Is this the first “beak up” Christmas song? Bon Jovi's Please Come Home for Christmas Catherine McPhee's Not Christmas Without You Kacey Musgraves' Christmas Makes Me Cry Kacey Musgraves' Present Without a Bow Fantasia's The Snow is Falling (though she doesn't directly sing about a breakup) Sia's Snowman Jojo's Wishlist Nova Miller’s Red Dress Alessia Cara’s Make it to Christmas My Christmas music list is huge, so I'm sure there's more. There's also so many songs about longing for a loved one during the holiday season (not quite breakup), but being alone and missing someone or wanting to come home to someone. A lot of those are 'sad' holiday breakup songs, and I am guessing the poster meant more in terms of feisty ones? Maybe not, but if so "Full of Cheer" by Home Free is a holiday break up song with attitude.

I know there’s a manufacturing delay and the album wasn’t done in time. But it is disappointing that there’s no vinyl. That is such a big part of music releases right now and all of the other new Christmas albums are being announced with big vinyl bundles. Next year I guess….

She always kills Whitney, like every time—Run to You (still one of her best vocals on the show), SAMLFY, I’m Every Woman, How Will I Know. I just need her to do I Have Nothing and I’ll be set for life.
Can’t wait to cry next Friday.

I find Saving All My Love the world's dullest big ballad (apart from maybe Save The Best For Last, funnily enough) so I found it hard to get excited, but that last 30 seconds was excellent.

She’s really picking some of her best album cuts to sing on the show isn’t she? :’(

That "Saving All My Love For You" cover! Queen of dynamic contrasts. What I love about her Whitney/Mariah/Aretha/etc. covers is you can tell she knows those songs inside and out from listening to them on repeat as a kid. Those influences clearly helped shape her exceptional musical ear, and her continued standom is endearing.

Listening to the new Christmas song. It's a bop. Expertly produced. There is literally not a sound out of place, but I don't know if I love it. Also, I see there is a song called All I Want For Christmas Is You but it is an entirely different song, which is...bizarre, but it sounds fantastic.

Look up Vince Vance and the Valliants.

Speaking of how well she does Whitney’s songs, I would love for her to cover You Give Good Love. It’s totally up her alley!

I know the jokes about that other AIWFCIY song write themselves but it's some of my favorite recorded vocals from her...ever. Might as well be an original song from her for all I care.

The "Happier Than Ever" cover was amazing! I miss when she released music like that herself.

Also, "Glow" is a Kelly, Jason, Danja, Jesse Thomas and Haley Warner co-write. It's the only one of the new songs that appear on any of the BMI/ASCAP/SESAC sites.

I wonder if the original album we know she’s been creating simultaneously will also have this doo-wop sound

Her A&R about "Merry Christmas Baby"... "Kelly and Jesse Shatkin really fucking nailed it on this one This track is withering, beautiful and sarcastic in just the right ways. The lyrics are so delicious. Doris Day meets Dorothy Parker." Attachment Deleted

Just listened to Kelly Clarkson AIWFCIU and it's such a great vocal but a damn great song. So 50s/60 classic era sounding. Her voice was made for Christmas songs and only a few people can say that. Bubbles, Mariah, Nat King Cole, Kelly.etc.
