Happy 10 year album anniversary to "Stronger"! Just finished listening to it in honor! Can't believe it's been a decade, what an era that was... and to think, it was only the beginning of what was to come. In related news, RCA needs to hurry up and add "Why Don't You Try" to streaming services.

I'd LOVE to see a pre-Christmas SNL musical guest performance! Especially with Ari in the mix to sweeten the pot. Any chance of NBC finally being smart?!

While Glow is the absolute clear star of the album (I didn't know Chris could hit those notes!) it is a stellar body of work overall, especially (as has been mentioned here many times) because of the originals. Of the covers, Santa Baby is the star. Merry Christmas Baby and Christmas Come Early are two of the best songs in Kelly's catalog. I definitely hear the AIWFCIY influence on the Ari duet. It's cute. I really enjoy Christmas Isn't Cancelled as well. Great choice for an introduction to the project. I have never heard Brett Eldridge until this album, but he sounds...sexy? Whew. Anyway...Kelly is a rare artist like Mariah whose Christmas work is better than a good chunk of their traditional, non-holiday albums, from a vocal and production standpoint, anyway. I give this a solid A.

Had no idea Under The Mistletoe was a "big ol HIT!" outside of maybe the South Pole and Brett's F-150, but...PROMO, DADDY, PROMO!!

I didn't think they'd be able to pull that song off by condensing it to the time they need but I'll be damned. That was beautiful.

He released a Christmas album this week too. From what I heard so far this morning, it sounds really good.

Jason, Kelly and all involved...that was a superb arrangement and performance of Maybe. I got chills.
Still my #1 Kelly song after all these years.

Gorgeous vocal and piano accompaniment on "Maybe." She's been tackling her most vulnerable, self-penned songs between that one, "You Love Me," and "Tightrope."
My December 15th anniversary tour next year plz.

That performance of "Maybe" killed me, then resurrected me, then killed me again. Pure perfection.

At the very least, one show at a theater or something!

As always, this list is subject to change. But here's what's on deck for next week:
Monday: "Call Out My Name" - The Weeknd Tuesday: "Viva la Vida" - Coldplay Wednesday: "River Deep, Mountain High" - Tina Turner (!!!) Thursday: "Karma Police" - Radiohead Friday: "Ghostbusters" - Ray Parker Jr.

I echo everyone's thoughts on Maybe - hearing her sing that now after all she's been through just hits you in a whole different way.
Going off of the trend, they've been doing the Kelly Classic every other Friday. I wouldn't be surprised if Sober is the next one!

Had a feeling this is about the numbers this would land this week. I really hope they’re planning on giving this a proper promotional push after Halloween..

Yikes. Carrie’s holiday record released even earlier than this time last year and still debuted at #5 on the 200. This was to be expected, but damn.
I’m sure there will be an extensive amount of promo this holiday season for this album, and it’ll be nice to see the numbers grow over the season.

Should have released it in early-mid November.

Musically tho, Carries's still scoring radio hits and is probably more popular in that aspect.

It’s disappointing that Kelly doesn’t still command an impact commercially. TBH, as much as I love Adele, Kelly deserves every bit of the commercial success she sees. I guess those days have just passed for her, but from a purely selfish perspective I really hope she can make something that will be consumed by the masses again. I just feel like people need to hear and respect that raw, amazing, talent!
I know this is a (second) Christmas album, in October. So hopefully numbers will improve as the season gets closer and promo gears up. I haven’t shared thoughts on the album myself because I’m just not in the mood for Christmas music yet. I listened once and it was great, but I just can’t get into Christmas music this early.

I’m sure the album will be fine in the long run. Atlantic will not let the album flop; it was their idea to have her release another Christmas album in the first place. She also has the added benefit of being the first of the major Christmas releases this year—her album is already on the shelves and will sell throughout the next few months, especially after Halloween.

Even though it is still a bit early for Christmas music, the fact they only had her do two appearances for the entire album release week - that were just radio interviews - is just senseless.

Coco likes singers. That's all that needs to be said in a non singing world.
