Toxic winning with BOMT in second place was pretty predictable but they are both iconic and deserving. Thanks for hosting twigs!

Really happy with these results! Even if Toxic is a predictable winner, it's honestly one of the best pop songs I've heard.
Thanks for hosting bestie!!

Predictable winner but at least there was a lot of love for Everytime. Thanks twigs!

Thanks for hosting, even if the Americans predictably tanked one of the best singles of her career.

I had no idea what to expect when I decided to jump into this, but I have to admit that it was a lot of fun in the end (and I got a perfect top two ranking in the end!). Thanks for a great rankdown twigs!

Great ending!
Really sad to see break the ice miss the top ten - such a fabulous song that deserved to be one of her iconic ones. At least we got it at all!
Til the world ends is pretty weak imo so glad it didn’t fill space in the top 5. I don’t actively hate it but I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to finish the song lol.
Toxic and BOMT are both excellent so no complaints there. Gimme more isn’t a huge favourite of mine but still worthy of being up there.
Thanks for hosting twigs! It was nice to discover and rediscover some gems of hers.

20 Overprotected (17): Back then, this was my favorite single of the album-even more than Slave. And I liked it a bit more than Crazy. The original version of course I still like it a lot, but liked others more. 19 Sometimes (26): ok! About time my remaining bottom 15 left. Wasn’t a big fan back then. Loved the video but this type of ballad wasn’t and isn’t my favorite. It does have a nostalgic factor, though. 18 If U Seek Amy (16): I liked this from first listen, even as much as Circus. The marching band circusy sound was great, as was the melody especially the say what you want about mee. Vocals have made me like it a bit less with time, but I still like it a lot. 17 Lucky (21): This year I got hooked on MTVLA, and I loved the Making the video for Lucky. It became my third favorite song by Brit at that time. I still loved it for another 15+ years, but in the last couple of years it’s fallen from my top 20 Brit songs. 16 Work Bitch (12): This is still a jam though, and I think I love it even more than before. The production is great, her vocals work, the bridge is stellar, etc. I wish she had done a bit more promo. I remember the whole hyped helicopter stunt that ended up in no performance and just a Hi from her. The fact that the biggest promo was Snooki’s strong performance at DWTS, that led to a good spike in sales was a symbol of the messy BJ rollout youtu.be/dPGLjI9u3SI15 I Wanna Go (15): Perfect ranking! Yay! I know lots of people throw shade at Femme Fatale, but I thought this was a great era. All singles were great. I still like this a lot even after listening to it for this RD. Great melody, with strong hooks, nice instrumental (whistles included). And I thought her vocals and production worked and still do, even if they sound a bit dated. 14 Hold It Against Me (9): This was a great start of an era. And a song that opened the doors in pop for this type of electronic sound. It was a great mix of EDM and pop, even if now it may sound a bit dated for some. I still find it cool and once in awhile I like blasting this in the car. Plus, I also love that video. I just wish we had seen more of her dancing! 13 Break the Ice (22): This is another song I liked a bit more s few years ago. I still like the melody and her vocals, but now I think that the production could’ve been stronger. The occasional heartbeat like drum sound is great, but not quite enough, and the last minute drags a bit too much to me now. 12 Piece of Me (20): I used to like BtI more than PoM, but more recently I’ve grown to appreciate better the strong, interesting production and lyrics of this one. Even if I like Ice’s melody and vocals a tad more. 11 Crazy (13): Initially I liked BTMYH a tad better, and then I discovered the STOP mix and Crazy became my second favorite of the album. Great melody and instrumental even when it’s another sibling of BOMT. This is an amazing top 10! All are in my top 11 so I can’t complain at all. Great to see representation of most eras!

10 Till the World Ends (11): I’m just glad that FF managed to have one single in the top 10. I wasn’t sure that was gonna happen. And this was almost in my top 10 anyway. It feels timeless, her vocals are not overprocessed, and the hooks are strong, especially in the last minute. 9 Everytime (4): I was getting worried this would miss the top 10, too, after reading some comments. This was such a surprise when I first heard it back then, as she had never sung that well and emotionally IMO. It’s still my favorite vocals, and a deserved classic. Btw, I liked the Hi-Bias remix very much as well youtu.be/fCBP4Wtsakg8 Oops I Did It Again! (8): This was an iconic follow up to a huge era. The hype on the video, the album, her adult image. I loved witnessing it. The song was a personal chart-topper that I was surprised didn’t top the US chart. Yes, it followed the formula of previous hits, but still sounded good. 7 Circus (9): The bridge is an ear worm, te production is slick, but the chorus is a bit of a letdown after such a strong chorus, and that’s why I liked Amy better first -although with time this sounds more timeless. 6 Womanizer (7): A great return to form. Pushing more the electronic envelope in pop, with strong production and melody -even when it borrows a lot from Happy Together. The video was another iconic one. 5 Stronger (4): I liked this more than Oops! And was another personal chart-topper. The harder sound and vocals, stronger melody including the chorus after the bridge. And that video also iconic. Plus the lyrics resonate more now. Great to see it this high! 4 I’m a Slave 4 U (5): I wasn’t a huge fan of this back in the day. I liked it enough to reach my top 5, but the pre-chorus and first half of the chorus weren’t that strong to me. Also I found the video unnecessarily sexual personally. I actually preferred Dirrrty. With time, I’ve appreciated the production much much more, as well as the overall melody. Another classic. 3 Gimme More (6): I loved this from first listen, and was utterly frustrated at how it flopped in the US (I was already in Pulse and remember our collective grief with former Pulse members lol). I thought this was the female equivalent to SexyBack and deserved as much success, from a musical standpoint. The production was as hot and strong as it could be, her vocals fit the vibe very well, the melody was a bit repetitive but with enough nuances. A personal chart-topper and a song I still go back to once in awhile. I know the video and performances were a mess, but they shouldn’t have affected its radio and overall chart performance. 2 … Baby One More Time (1): That intro is iconic. The melody is super strong. The production is great, too, with a bit of an edge for a pure pop tune. A modern classic that has passed the test of time. By the way, I also enjoyed Travis’ take on it :) youtu.be/DSKT75m2AiM1 Toxic (2): Both are IMO Britney’s best, and I’m totally happy to see this as a winner, too. In the end BOMT has a bit more nostalgic power for me, but Toxic is a gem of a pop song. Production, vocals, hooks, instrumental, with even a bit of retro vibe in that beat. And of course Brit’s best video. Great winner! And I can’t believe I was the #1 in closeness!!! What?! Yayayayyyy!! Thanks twigs for a great rankdown!!

I thought the #19 song would be the winner simply because it won the NOW 3 rankdown. I was just too scared to participate. However my #1 was #4,and my #2 came out winning. WTG!
