If "good 4 u" can be sued into crediting "Misery Business" then this is a no brainer for Mariah's legal team. "Inspired by" and "tribute to Mariah" for sure lol.

Absolutely loving this after a few listens--every part of it is such an ear worm, and it's exhilarating to listen to each of them just unleash their vocals knowing good and goddammn well the other will be able to keep up.

Is this allowed to enter the hot 100 below 50? I *think* it should be able to because it's being released as a proper single for the first time. It didn't enter the chart last year either, so that might help? |

I was just thinking about this too, I'm actually really confused why the song wasn't pushed this year. I have no clue what Ariana is doing rn but like, they re-aired the special (which did give the song a brief boost), and they could've just had her on the Kelly show for a performance and an official radio release and called it a day at the bare minimum. This screams holiday hit to me, I'm really bummed they're just passing on it. Also, with the Grammy nom too, you'd think they would've wanted to make a little campaign? I know Kelly got sick so maybe things happened or w/e but still |
