This is off to a great start, no complaints thus far! Oh, and this must mean you made it to Minnesota safe and sound! I did! Best part, roads were fine and it had stopped snowing before we hit the road!

Sad to see some of the Gaslighter tracks so low ("Tights On My Boat" and "My Best Friend's Weddings"). Everything else is expected though - as much as I love "Let Him Fly", it certainly isn't for everyone.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the first song out this evening is also our most polarizing!

While no one predicted that “Lullaby” would be one of the most polarizing songs of the rankdown, a couple of you did guess that it would be a bottom 5 contender which it missed by only a mere four points. This actually started off as our first #1 contender thanks to ClevelandRox who unfortunately also becomes the first participant to lose their top-ranked song. Another top 5 ranking from recordyear would push this back up into the runners-up spot, although that would be the last time as before long it found itself on the outside looking in of the top 10 where it would be for the remainder of its run. It in fact would find itself down in the bottom six for the first time towards the last quarter of the rankdown, but luckily a third top 5 ranking from SHOOTER would bring this back into the top 20. All in all, six participants lose a bottom 5 ranking including a last place from both .indulgecountry and LBTrocks.

Home becomes the next album to lose a second track as its title track departs next. This mostly rode out its entire run bouncing in and around the bottom tier of the top 20 which in turn makes this the fifth least polarizing song of the rankdown. It did briefly find itself in the top 15 thanks to its first top 10 ranking from recordyear who has now seen four of his top 10s depart thus far. He would be joined there by bboat11 and Cody Wants Out... who in fact was the lone participant to put this in their top 5. Both taylor and SHOOTER were the only two participants to put this down in their bottom 5.

And just like that Taking the Long Way is down two less tracks as "Bitter End" departs next which also came in as our least polarizing song! Whereas most of the songs in the bottom 6 departed in bottom 3 of their parent album, this time around we now see songs that made it into the middle of the top 10. Also, this in fact exited before "Lullaby" in its album rankdown but now managed to come out ahead this time around. That is more likely due to the fact that fewer participants returned and therefore support leveled off for songs that otherwise likely would've performed a bit better. While this didn't pick up any top 5 rankings, it did accumulate a handful of top 10s from mamooshka, taylor, .indulgecountry, and Cody Wants Out.... Three participants lose a bottom 6 including myself, SHOOTER, and recordyear who I'm sure is a bit relieved after having shed quite a few top 10s already.

“Everybody Loves You” becomes the first track to exit which managed to make the top 5 in its parent album rankdown which in turn leaves Gaslighter with only one song remaining. Despite starting off in the top 10, this found itself towards the back of the top 20 where it would ride out its remaining time. Yet again we find only two participants in the bottom 5 including mamooshka and someguy. At the other end, four participants placed this in their top 10 including taylor, ClevelandRox, 🌺CountryLineDancer, and recordyear who has now lost five of his top 10s.

Taking the Long Way takes its third hit all inside the top 20 as "Silent House" exits next. While this did manage to make a brief appearance inside the top 10, for the most part it was an arm's length away from that and spent its run well within the top 20. Six participants did place this in their top 10, though, including a pair of top 5s from .indulgecountry and SHOOTER. It likely would've been a top 15 contender had it not been for the two bottom 5 rankings from both myself and 🌺CountryLineDancer. Much like "Bitter End", this performed a tad bit better this time around as this exited before "Lullaby" in its parent album rankdown.

Well, with the exception of "Silent House" going WAY too soon, this is going splendidly. We're really blowing through all these ballads just like I'd hoped!

I'm going to stop there for tonight, but I'll return sometime tomorrow to unveil the first three songs to exit. Until then, any guesses as to which five songs will depart before the top 10?!

"Hello, Mr. Heartache" has to be living on borrowed time. I can also see a Wide Open Spaces track leaving soon - maybe "Loving Arms" or "Never Say Die".

It's high time we lost "Soon You'll Get Better." It's a decent enough Taylor Swift song, but if I didn't know beforehand that The Chicks were credited on it, I would have never been able to tell listening to it.

Good Sunday morning, y'all! I'm going to go ahead and dive into the top 15 of which I'll reveal the first three songs exiting. Wide Open Spaces has thus far been the only album to remain fully in tact...up until now that is! Will it be one of the three songs someguy mentioned or something else entirely?! Let's find out...

Wide Open Spaces loses his first track just as we enter the top 15 with the exit of "Let 'Er Rip". This in fact was an early top 10 contender as it spent the middle part of its run there before sliding back when the first of three bottom 5 rankings came along (and a last place at that!) from 🌺CountryLineDancer. Despite those two additional bottom 5s from Cody Wants Out... and taylor in the last quarter, this still was able to remain competitive thanks in part to the majority of the group ranking this somewhere within their top 15. Four of those were top 10s including a lone top 5 from castleoblivion26.

I should also note that "Let 'Er Rip" finished only one point ahead of "Never Say Die" in its parent album rankdown! This time around both songs swapped places with the latter exiting first. Let's see if "Never Say Die" is able to survive a bit longer, shall we!

“Soon You’ll Get Better” is the first of two songs selected for the rankdown which were not previously featured on any of the five studio albums from the Chicks. For the most part, though, this was a solid top 15 contender and even managed to make a brief appearance in the top 10. That was thanks in part to a top 2 ranking from 🌺CountryLineDancer who also just happened to lose his last place. Joining him in the top 5 was someguy followed by a top 10 from ccarter1023. While the majority of the group did place this somewhere within their top 15, it did have a few haters with three participants placing this in their bottom 6 including a last place from SHOOTER.

Just as someguy predicted its time was near, “Hello Mr. Heartache” departs next which is the third song to exit from their album Fly. While this was an early top 10 contender, it would take a steep dive outside of that thanks to a lone last place ranking from someguy. From there, it still was able to remain within the top 15 as eight of the participants all ranked this somewhere within that range. Even a second bottom 6 ranking from taylor wouldn't be enough to push this back any further and in fact this managed to sneak up one more position at the very end with a lone top 5 ranking from LBTrocks.
