And there we have it folks! While "Sin Wagon" had a stronghold on the top spot for the better half of the rankdown, "Once You've Love Somebody" was able to take over in the last quarter where it remained perched until the very end. As I mentioned from the outset of the top 5, it still remained relatively close as all five of the songs separated by a total of only ten points. And thanks to a couple of bottom rankings for "Sin Wagon" at the very end, "Lubbock or Leave It" was able to leap ahead and finish inside the top 2 by only a mere point. It also helped that SHOOTER came along and joined .indulgecountry by placing this at the top of his list. While only three others placed this in their top 5, five others did rank this within their top 10 as well. All but two participants placed this outside of their top 15 with @countryoutuber being the only one to put it in their bottom 6. “Once You’ve Loved Somebody” seemed to be the perennial favorite going into the rankdown and thus was on everyone's radar as a possible #1 contender. It did in fact pick up three #1 (and perfect!) rankings from ccarter1023, bboat11, and Cody Wants Out... as well as a pair if top 2s from myself and ClevelandRox. It would also be the only song of the rankdown to remain a top 5 contender for it entire run where it spent much of its early time in the runners-up position. There were a couple of dissenters, however, as both recordyear and LBTrocks ranked this in their bottom 6. That along with three other non-top 10 rankings wound up also making this our third most polarizing song.

I'd again like to thank everyone for participating in and following along with the rankdown! While I was still hoping to see more participation translate over from their album series into this, I'm glad that there remained enough interest that gave us a varying degree of how wide-ranging our personal tastes are when it comes to their music lol. While the curtain has closed on their album series, we aren't done with them quite yet as a redux of their artist rankdown is coming very soon. I'm just now putting the finishing touches on that and hope to have it launched here in the next week or two.
Until then, thanks again y'all!

I began to get an inkling last night that "Once You've Loved Somebody" would come out on top, but getting a perfect top two?!

Welp, about that... At least I am not the lowest ranker. This song will be lost in shuffle if it was actually a single at that time imo.

“Once You’ve Loved Somebody” is a CLASSIC and it is amazing and it should’ve been a single and it would’ve gone #1 and some of y’all can stay mad! Glad that won out against “Lubbock or Leave It,” OYLS was the most deserving winner left imo! Thanks for hosting tim!

Loved it, tim. Thanks for hosting. While they've developed a musical maturity and groundedness in their later albums, the Chicks will always be ready to raise the roof.

Since most of this album era came from before I was really aware of what was on the radio, "Once You've Loved Somebody" is one of those songs that I always just assumed was a hit when I listened to the album, because it fits so well alongside the actual big hits. So glad to see it win here I can never get enough of the steel guitar in the intro of this song!
