Did anyone ever make theoretical Billboard Hot 100 weekly charts that included YT views pre-2013? Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to see how views on videos accumulated from the moment of upload as they took that feature away from us years ago. Probably the most well known difference is that Gangnam Style would've EASILY been #1 if YT was incorporated in the formula by then.

In my headcanon, Gangam Style and Friday both get to be #1 songs.

^ I rolled my eyes at first but it literally IS her impact, Patrice Wilson tried replicating the success of βFridayβ for years but it never happened Where would have βFridayβ peaked on the H100 if streaming counted? It got about 30 million YouTube views the week it went viral, so it very likely would have hit number 1. I think it would have peaked at #2 or #3. Born This Way and ET were really huge back then.

Bad Romance might have hit #1 if Youtube streams were counted. It was the biggest Youtube hit until Baby by Biebs (which would've also been #1 I guess).
Cold Heart so close to top ten, make it happen!!

you're an excellent troll. I hope. I mean back then the weekly #1 was selling as much as the YE #1 does in a year these days Yeah, Born This Way had 448k sales first week and 509k sales 2nd week, while ET was selling 300k weekly effortlessly at its peak despite being a 4th single. Not to mention, BTW consistently had over 100M kWorb aud in its prime and ET had over 150M kWorb aud at its peak (a metric Friday was nonexistent), and it wasnβt like BTW and ET were streaming slouches either. Friday was going to have a tough time beating those songs, even if streaming was included on the Hot 100 formula.

If BTW had been released when EOM was, it would have tied the Erotica debut at #2 on radio and been #1 on the metric in Week 3. Also keep in mind, that despite losing out on 2 days of its debut week due to the Wednesday-Tuesday tracking week, BTW's debut week radio number was higher than any of EOM's first 3 weeks on radio. BTW Week 1 - 448k sales, 78.5M radio: www.billboard.com/articles/news/473025/lady-gaga-claims-1000th-hot-100-no-1-with-born-this-wayOn Radio Songs, the Hot 100's airplay component chart, "Born This Way" begins at No. 6 with a first-week audience of 78.5 million. With opening-week digital sales of 448,000, "Born This Way" likewise breaks barriers with the largest debut sum for a female artist. BTW Week 2 - 509k sales, 84M radio: www.billboard.com/articles/news/472902/lady-gagas-born-this-way-grows-atop-grammy-fueled-hot-100"Born This Way" improves upon its opening-week sales frame, shifting 509,000 downloads (up 14%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. On Radio Songs, "Born This Way" bump up two places from its record-setting No. 6 debut with a 7% increase to 84 million audience impressions, per Nielsen BDS. BTW Week 3 - 286,000 sales, 101M radio: www.billboard.com/articles/news/472776/jennifer-lopez-leaps-onto-hot-100-with-on-the-floorThough it's off 44% in downloads to 286,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the song remains at No. 1 on Digital Songs. Radio activity surges, as "Born" gains by 21% on Radio Songs (101 million, according to Nielsen BDS), where it holds at No. 4.

if this is true this feels like the most accurate chart in weeks. i don't think bad habits is the biggest song of the week but other than that, songs like meet me at our spot & heat waves are finally reaching peaks to match their streaming presence

I finished giving listens to = and honest to God, this is his best project since x. Like it's still pretty basic and safe in places but it mostly avoids overly whitebread (although Sandman was a really corny song to his daughter) and Tides is easily one of his best ever songs.

According to this prediction, BL is predicted to have enough points for re-entry:

If those predictions will be true, Ed will still be a winner. A #1 single and album plus another top 5 hit. Not bad for a "flop" act. :kii:

Per Cedric, Thriller and Monster Mash are safe for re-entry:
He also has Somebody's Watching Me at #50, but did not have BL re-entering.

Wow, we might have only 3 new entries on this (probably?) last week of the 2021 Billboard year. (Yes, Monster Mash is listed in Cedric's predictions as a new entry, but it's charted on the Hot 100 before and even made the 1973 YE)

It's one of the few songs to hit the Top Ten twice in two separate runs (excluding the recent ones following the death of an artist). This will be its first time on the Hot 100 since 1973!

I noticed that @cedriccharts already started tracking AIWFCIY. I wonder if it will manage to re-enter the Hot 100 the following week or in two weeks.

"This is Halloween" debuting hinges on whether or not it is considered a worthy recurrent, right?
So it could go either way (Baby Shark, Hallelujah got in below #50, many other do not)

How do they know Bad Habits will have those sales? 50k-60k sales? Yeah, I'm kind of skeptical of this, especially considering Ed didn't even get the #1 in the UK (his home country).

Hmm...wouldn't this apply to a lot of songs? Any currents that sit in the charts when there are some random holiday or event driven re-entries could bear this distinction. Which is a REACH if there ever was one.
