I don't have the highest of expectations for this remix, but at the very least, it's nice to see these two collaborate for a third time. Really shows how their friendship transcends the music industry.
As for its performance, I could see it eventually going #1 on Hot AC if Atlantic plays their cards (heh) right. I can't see it debuting at #1, though, unless it's heavily promoted or the music video is an 'event', since it's up against the cultural juggernaut that is WDTAB, as well as Kendrick releasing a new song the week of his Super Bowl performance.

the remix is fine and the video is cute, but yeah I don't see it becoming an event in any way. also am i slipping or does ed's vocals sounds thinner in the remix than in the original?

I honestly don't remember what the original sounds like though so I don't have that as a comparison to go off of but this doesn't sound like something that would be a big hit. But it was nice seeing the still from "Everything Has Changed" in the photo frames and some other references (like all the 13s in the notebook).

It's a nice song, but also exactly what I expected. Still, at least it's something new after the past month and a half of relative chart stagnation.

It's pretty. Their voices sound as lovely together as ever. But yeah... probably wouldn't play again. Seems like a bit of a waste of a duet.
But radio loves Ed so who knows!

I don't hate it, but I was underwhelmed. Taylor didn't really add that much to this.
Also it seems like the hourly airplay has already been happening on some stations. With such a low spin threshold, perhaps we'll be seeing it tomorrow in the top 50.

Meh. I was hoping the production would be revamped but…I guess not. Taylor definitely did make the song better but I don’t think I’ll be revisiting it much. This will easily make the Top 10 on both HAC and AC. Maybe barely scrapping the Top 20 on Pop unless the callout scores and streaming/sales turn out good.

Wish they would have turned Overpass Graffiti into a duet with additional lyrics. Would have been so fun. This song just doesn’t do anything for me and I doubt it will do much chart wise.

I for one love this. I think it’s different from what is currently on radio in a really good way. I’m a sucker for pretty much anything either of these artists puts out, so I’m definitely biased. It’s slow, sappy…in short, just right for the season. I do think that Taylor’s added verse elevates the song.
