24. I'll Be Good To You - Quincy Jones feat. Ray Charles & Chaka Khan

First recorded and a #1 R&B hit for The Brothers Johnson in 1976, Quincy enlisted the help of Ray and Chaka for the remake. The result: a #1 for R&B and a Top 20 placement on the Hot 100. It was Quincy's first R&B charttopper in nearly 12 years, and Ray's first in nearly 24 years. For Chaka, she became the first artist to top the R&B chart in the '70s, '80s, and '90s.

21. Jerk Out - The Time

Over five years after going their separate ways, the original members of The Time (Morris Day, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Monte Moir, Jesse Johnson, Jellybean Johnson, and Jerome Benton) came together to record the album Pandemonium. The album's lead single, "Jerk Out", turned out to be the band's biggest hit, as it topped the R&B chart and was their only Top 10 on the Hot 100. It also helped Pandemonium become their only album to reach the Top 20 on the album chart).

The song was first recorded by Prince in 1981 during recording sessions for The Time's What Time Is It? album. Prince then re-worked it in 1985 for the band Mazarati, though it didn't make it on the album. It was re-worked again for inclusion on the Pandemonium album.
