My list is strictly inverse points based on chart position. Unholy is getting lots of chart points but being shoved out of thetop by Taylor Swift,  Drake & 21 Savage and Rihanna the next few weeks. 

BUT it could get enough points to make it to the real top 100, especially if Billboard decides to make this a 53 week year.

Hardly obsolete by March, given it was still in the top ten then and would go on to spend many more weeks in the top 20. Taking a close look at its chart run, it makes more sense that it would be deserving of a #5 placement, maybe in more competitive years it wouldn't, but it did peak at #4, spend 15 weeks in the top 10, and 44 weeks total on the chart this chart year. It's one of those quieter hits that racks up a huge number of points based on longevity rather than from any huge weekly peaks, but yes, maybe it didn't quite "seem" like that big of a hit.

Of course this is mostly on account of music being dead for 5 months. Anything I predicted correctly is negated by me saying that Heat Waves would fall off too fast to make the year end lmao

- Cold Heart is a riskier pick but I think it can stay around for a while - should be big on radio.

- Easy on Me (new Adele) will be top 10 for a long time unless it's really awful

Hoping your right, but given that radio is still being ridiculously slow to get onboard, and the streaming dip the past couple weeks has been a bit of a brutal one, I won’t put much money on it, sadly.

2023 predictions are battling with AIWFCIY as the ridiculously early push of the year. But I get it.

Meanwhile, waaaaaay back in the year 2022! I've adjusted my year end algorithm to reduce bonus points awarded to weeks in the top 3. With the slowing of charts, my previous method of squaring those points based on the number of weeks was getting ridiculously large numbers. So I reduced it to raising those points to the power of 1.5, instead of 2. That affects the top of my chart for several songs that are no longer charting and you can see the effect in the New Points column. More importantly, it moves As It Was back down to #2, where it is far more likely to place.

So here's how the Top 100 (actually, 110) look for the penultimate chart week of 2022: November 5.

There's an excellent chance Unholy will latch onto the Top 100 on Monday's final chart of the year.

I think I am the only person who does not think the 2022 Year End Top 10 feels weird. I honestly think the Year End Top 10 for 2020 and 2021 made less sense than 2022. There were not as many songs this year compared to 2020 and 2021 where I think they should have ranked higher and this includes songs that finished in the Top 10 and songs that did not finish in the Top 10.
