this is *the best* song on this list. no competition.
but for real though, I fell in love with this on first listen, it's one of the most beautiful songs released this year. I think just the lyrics for me really stuck especially at a time I needed to hear them so that is why this is my personal song of the year. man, I was really rooting for this to win but oh well.

I ranked "Good Days" #2, but I do kinda prefer "Good Days" won the rankdown instead over my #1 which, while I obviously think is great, would be a pretty basic winner if it does indeed win
